WM - Carlsbad, CA

I have been with Wm for over ten (10) years.
Their commitment to their customers is unprecedented.
For over ten (10) years my drivers promptness and attention to detail have been such that I check my watch to make sure IT'S correct.
I see other companies in the area and I want to stop and tell the resident about Wm. That's how impressed and proud I am to be a customer of Wm.
If you can switch companies do so and you can experience old school work ethics and value for yourself.

Best customer service in the industry! Please come back to the north county coastal towns! We miss you!

My experience of all the people working at WM is they are friendly and try to be helpful even if their English is minimal.

No reliable, bins not replaced regularly, on the bright side WM is really good at raising rates and giving you less value for the increased rates.

WM usually picks up the trash on time, and usually does not leave a complete mess, but not always. There are often delays, and sometimes the pickup does not happen all together. The process of getting a refund for a missed pickup is (purposefully?) tedious, while it should be automatic in my opinion. Sometimes the driver will pick up all but some bins on our street, and falsely state otherwise in their comments I learned as I followed up with WM to figure out what happened.
They increase the charge for services without notification.
WM effectively has monopoly on my street so I have not been able to test if other companies would do better. They might all be like this. At least the trash is usually picked up.

Edit, because I don't know how to respond to a comment: WM asked me to contact them after I posted a public review. However, I have contacted them many times in the past 2.5 years, and they did not seem particularly concerned then. So, I don't see any reason for me to contact them yet again just because I shared my experience on reviews (which I was prompted to do from WM, after they emailed me repeatedly to perform an online survey).

WM service has degraded significantly in the past 90 days. The only thing that arrives on time are the bills and the price increases.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! Huge line to get in, some dude sort of directing traffic into the bays…

One way traffic into the facility. You have to leave the property to get back in line to pay after you are weighed.

We were in line on the street with 10-15 other vehicles at 3: 30pm. At 4: 00 pm the line started moving really fast and then we discovered that they just stopped working and directed us off the property.

I really felt like just dumping the load right there. What a joke for a multi million dollar corporation.

I wish I had another option, but they are the only game in town. So the rental trailer stays parked overnight… Wow!

This company locks you into an absurd contract that makes it impossible for you to cancel. They then increase your prices so you’re paying hundreds of dollars more a month. GO WITH A SMALLER LOCAL COMPANY!

Thus hispanic guy who works there tried to extort me saying that if I didn't pay him to dump then I had to take the one and only remaining peoce of wood that was pressure treated he said if I have him the copper pipes I could leave it.
