Woodminster Nails, Oakland CA

I uh advan appointment for 2pm, I called and let them know I was running late due to car troubles and was trying to make it there for 2: 30. When I finally did get there it was about 2: 45pm hours hen I walked in the salon was completely empty so I figured at least I didn't hold anyone up. Then one of the nail techs said that they couldn't see me cause I was late, even though I had called and let them know I was going to be. And they refused to see me period like they were fully booked. But like I said the salon was completely empty and when I walked out I couldn't leave cause my car was overheating anyways so I had to wait, there were no other appointments or customers in the salon for the next almost 30 minutes after I was turned away. Which I could understand if they had other appointments scheduled but they didn't. And I've been trying to come here to have this acrylic set done for over a week and was planning to drop about 200+ on both mani and Pedi. But sitting around doing nothing is more important than making money or running a good salon. But after looking at some other reviews and reading about the continuous bad service and unsanitary conditions of their utensils they use on people and seeing pictures of people's toe nails infected with fungus after coming here, I'm going to take it as a blessing in disguise and the universes way of saving me from a disaster of an experience or an unwanted ailness in the future. To those who test the waters may more than luck be on your side, and I hope your experience is better than mine

Absolutely delighted with my 5th visit to this salon! My experiences here have been consistently exceptional. I've used both manicures and pedicures, and without fail, I've left the salon with a smile on my face. My go-to nail artist, Ryan, consistently delivers an outstanding job. I wanted to love this shop it’s close by it’s quiet. For whatever reason the guy that works there did not seem to like me very much, gave me a hard time with my design request, just didn’t seem like he wanted to do my nails and deeply over filed my natural nail…. And I’m a brand new client. I did my next appointment with the girl who does acrylic and she was super nice, she did such a good job and we talked the whole appointment. The next time I came she was busy…he did a removal of my acrylics and told me to come back the next day for a new set. I said ok. The girl said come back any time after 5. I came back the next day at 6 the same time I’d come and done removal. The guy was pissed he was ready to go home and didn’t want to do my nails. Then he sits down and proceeds to try and glue nails on me without sizing and without removing the remaining acrylic he didn’t remove the first time. I said it’s ok I’ll just come back another time. A week later I came back, called ahead I said I can be there in 20 min, got there in 15. I walk in they see it’s me say oh we’re busy today and turn around. I say “umm I just called and you said I could come” they start talking to each other stop responding to me, don’t even look at me. All of the other customers in the shop are looking at me, looking at them, none of us understand why they are being rude. I had to outright ask do you just not what to do my nails should I not come back here? He came up and says yea you should go somewhere else. For the life of me I don’t know what happened or why that man is so rude every other lady in the shop was super nice and we got along great. NEVER in my life have I ever been treated like that at a business.

I cannot explain how much better I feel after receiving a "deluxe pedicure" but it is worth trying to describe and share so others can enjoy the amazing experience! Min and her husband and staff are always so kind and welcoming and make you feel comfortable to relax and get the treatment you need. As a dancer, my feet always need a lot of extra attention and care. Min takes her time and is very detailed and thorough to make me look my best! The massage by hand and hot stones is divine, and the paraffin wax helps my feet become silky smooth. I am so grateful to have this local gem in our community.

I came in around 6 and they had a full set on me beautifully within an hour! Service was great and prices were too. Def recommend

Lots of miscommunication with staff. They did not make me feel welcome and my experience with new management was not good. I will not return.

Favorite local nail salon. They have a great selection of dip and gel plus they always do an amazing job.

Ryan is my go to — I love Minh too! I’ve been coming to get full powder sets with him for 3 years now & he never fails. When they have high volume you notice their attention to detail decreases, but hey that’s how good they are given the fact it’s always busy. It’s pricey, but nowadays it’s pricey everywhere. Been with them since their Richmond days, we in Westminster now.

If I could give more stars, I would. The staff were really nice and patient, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. They designed my nails with precision and painted them to absolute perfection!

I always return to Minh at Woodminster Nails. The place is spotless, the fee reasonable, but most importantly, the attention to detail in prepping my nails, the gentleness of her touch & the longevity of her nail work is the best in my 20 years of getting my nails professionally done on either the East or West Coast.

Stopped by to get my nails cleaned up and a fantastic job was done. Prices are so affordable too!
