Woody's Wine Tours, Santa Rosa CA

We just got back from an unforgettable trip to Sonoma wine country, and Woody was such an integral part of our amazing trip. I wouldn't go back to Napa/Sonoma without consulting with Woody.
Looking into the various options for drivers/tour planners etc.was cumbersome and hard to navigate. When I first spoke to Woody he said 'why are you going to call anyone else, lets just get this booked now', I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tad bit nervous and apprehensive to what I just signed up for but reading his many reviews helped me to agree.
I made the best choice possible. Woody FAR exceeded all of our collective expectations. He was super easy to get in touch with as we had questions leading up to the trip, he handled ALL of the logistics and planning, and was even able to handle the small adjustments that needed to be made while we were on the ground in Sonoma.
His connections run deep, but he does not take kick backs/commissions from winemakers which many peers do. His knowledge of the area was great to listen to, he did a great job keeping us interested but not overloading us with information in a boring way.
We had originally planned on this being a one day experience with Woody but changed it to two which was the best decision we could have made (besides initially hiring Woody).
Don't waste your time researching other tour guides/drivers, Woody is your guy you WONT be disappointed. And when he tells you to just get it booked, listen to him. He knows what he is talking about.

Woody for the WIN! He was absolutely AMAZING! When he says he is the CEO of Fun, that is an understatement. He was our driver for our 6 day stay in Sonoma. He made all of our reservations, picked up us, kept us on time and gave us a first class experience. We literally didn’t worry about anything. If I could give him 10 Stars ️ I would. I can’t say enough amazing things about him. If you are looking for a driver, he is your man. Thank you so much for making our bucket list trip so fabulous!

We hired Woody for two days of wine tasting around Sonoma county and northern Napa valley. He provided a variety of recommendations based on my preferences and then made all the reservations. He took us to more boutique, smaller wineries and at each we had our own private rooms (we were a party of 10). It was a really wonderful surprise to see we were set up so nicely! Woody is super fun and easy going, which was great for my group. He even went out of his way to grab something at the store we needed while we were at a winery tasting. We would absolutely hire him again- a great experience!

After interviewing a number of tour companies I hired Woody’s Wine Tours to provide transportation for my group of 14 New Yorkers to bring us to Santa Rosa from San Francisco and for a wine tour the next day. I knew within minutes of meeting Woody that I chose the best person! He gently put all of our suitcases into the back of his Sprinter as we climbed into the van. The van was immaculate, air conditioned and roomy with new comfortable seats. Woody was jovial, engaging and informative. He gave us detailed descriptions of the neighborhoods we passed through and promoted us when to take the best pictures as we crossed over the Golden Gate Bridge! He gladly answered questions about the geography, history and landmarks as he drove along. The wine tour the next day was fantastic. Woody’s knowledge of wines and the Sonoma/Napa region was truly remarkable. He is a great story teller with a wonderful sense of humor. He coordinated lunch at the second winery with delicious food from a nearby deli that he picked up while we did our tastings. The scene was breathtaking and the timing was all perfectly planned. I have been on other wine tours as have others in our group but we all agreed that none come close to our experience with Woody and the idyllic day he created for us! I wholeheartedly recommend Woody’s Wine Tour.

Best in the business! Took my first tour with Woody almost a decade ago and anytime I have been back in the Napa area there is no trip completed without taking a tour with Woody. He is so kind, attentive and makes every trip seamless. Cannot wait to return for our next tour (s)!

Woody is perfection. He listens to what we are wanting and totally plans a new adventure for us each time. We have had friend trips, family trips and he even squired our daughter's bachelorette group! Always reliable with every detail covered. Woody is also FUN, informative and flexible! And his shuttles are luxury all the way.
8 trips in 10 years! We just wouldn't consider using anyone else!
