World Market reviews
17It’s a pretty big store and have a huge alcohol selection. Sometimes you can luck out and find more rare wines.
Bought two bookshelves online with in store pickup. Both were badly damaged and now as they are assembled, can't get them back to the store for a refund. Supervisor wouldn't budge over 20% refund to keep as is so now I'm stuck with two damaged bookshelves. I've had better experiences with Ikea and that's saying something.
Excellent customer service. Operations Manager Gilbert goes above and beyond! Have food items here from around the world you can't find anywhere else. There's a discount rack in the back 55% off clearance items. Great deals!
Jade was a very helpful associate & went out of her way to assist:) will be back due to this excellent customer service!
Love this place for finding gifts and imported pantry goods. Quiet, neat, and easy to navigate
Debbie is amazing she helped me with all my questions and had excellent customer service skills. As for the young lady whipping around have some respect for the older employees you make urself look bad.
If you're going to make everything dependent on those pads, then get them working right. I came in to make a purchase and got turned away after it took me 45 minutes to fail at trying to pay with a card I used all day before and after coming here. They send me away like whatever and then I get the big blowoff from customer service. Because I guess falling into some weird bunny-hole and somehow not being able to complete a routine purchase isn't a worthy complaint to these people. Just pitiful.
Called in and got a very rude associate. Tried to ask if they had a certain product in stock before I drove 30 mins to go get it. She sounded unsure and unbothered to check. She said “I saw 2 last time I check and we don’t do holds” and wouldn’t bother to say how long ago that was. It’s fine if you don’t do holds but at least check when I’m telling you I have to drive 30 mins to get there. Called the La mesa location and got way better service there. They put it on hold and even double checked to make sure they had it.
Long lines with only 2 cashier's very small store, most items don't have prices posted either. Pretty disappointing experience
Excellent customer service! Ordered the rattan day bed and went to go pick it up: but the box wouldn’t fit in our car. Gilbert went the extra mile, opened the box, took the day bed parts out of the box and loaded them into our car carefully. Left very happy
This World Market is pretty cool! They have a huge variety of items and you can find some pretty useful and interesting stuff here. I like browsing the hot sauces, cookies, and small food items they have — they have such a cool range of stuff from around the globe. You can also find kitchenware and decorative items for pretty cheap.
Large store but not much selection like the one in Eastlake in Chula Vista. There was a long line and only (1) cashier and no other in sight to help her. I have never seen a store where there was only (1) associate in sight.
I love world market. I go there because this store has so much great stuff that you would never get unless you went there. They are like the Costco of weird foods.you go there with the intent to not buy anything. But then you see all the cool retro furniture and strange types of sauces and coffees and you just have to buy stuff!
I come in here to look at the imported food items. They have a good selection, but it seems like the prices are way higher than they used to be.
Very good collections & variety for shopping items like clothing, furniture, bed & furnishing, kitchen wares etc.
World Market is my "favorite" store to stroll through, discover new treasures, find exotic international foods, and of course, shop their frequent sales! Everything from candles, furniture, rugs, spa items, women's boutique items/clothing, books, rugs, lamps, baskets, wine, beer, and kitchenwares are offered there, plus more! Always a treat to shop World Market!
