Sluggish gross sink. Terrible wifi. Scary elevator. Hit or miss ac. Room got way too hot after 3pm

I stayed at your hotel on July 16th thru the 18th. Me and my brother flew in from Florida exsausted. Before arriving I asked the shuttles hours and was told a driver would be there at 7: 45 pm as me and my brother waited and did not see the driver I called the hotel to be told the driver just left and I would have to wait a next 1/2 hour, the moment I hung up the driver pulled up. So your front desk should know what he is talking about The gentleman that checked us in was wonderful. When we got to room I was very disappointed with the room but too exsausted to make a stink. When we walked in the room was so dusty, the vent was so dusty that it blew so much dust that it stained the ceiling. The stand was dusty, the curtains were filthy. I sneezed none stop. Had to sleep with doors open. The bathroom toilet had a yellow ring as if someone used the toilet and left skid marks, the door to open the bathroom was filthy full of finger prints. The front desk took forever to answer (Frank). I expected so much better for the price we paid.

Located just across the street from San Diego Bay. A reasonable walk to the Convention Center. They also offer a shuttle to/from the Airport.

Stayed at the Wyndham for a vacation in San Diego filled with sun, sea and baseball.

Pros:
*Great location, right on the bay. Found it easy to get anywhere downtown quickly, additionally it's near the Coronado beach ferry, and the Santa Fe Depot for easy MTS access.

*The staff is friendly and very helpful. I never had anything but good interactions with the hotel personnel, including the front desk, valet and shuttle. Great job!

*The hotel offers a free shuttle which is great as it will save you from paying Uber/Lyft prices in/out of the airport.

*Great views! If you can, get the bay view rooms as they do offer fantastic views of San Diego bay. You’ll enjoy watching the sailboats in the sunset.

Con:
*Really only one, but it's big; the rooms. This is where the hotel earned its 3-star rating. The rooms are run down, dirty, dingy, broken and unsavory. From the missing handels on everything, to the crime and muck in every crack and crevice, switch and remote; if the sheet were not white I don’t know if I'd trust them. There is a layer of uncleaned filth on the walls and window which is not due to moisture from the bay. I’ve stayed at ‘no tell, motels’ outside of Las Vegas that have cleaner rooms. If they updated, sure it may increase the cost of your stay, but a better stay it would be

Made a reservation called to cancel after I realized the dates were wrong still charged the full amount their customer service showed no empathy, I understand being charged a fee but not the full amount.

Be wary of reserving here as they don't honor reservations!

Reserved a single king bed room and when we arrived they put us in a room with 2x full size beds. When I called the front desk from the hotel phone, no one answered. Called twice and both times it just rang until it canceled.

Refused to provide any money back and they were booked so had no other rooms available. Offered nothing, not even free parking.

Towel hangar fell off the wall. They said they'd send someone to fix it, never did.
Bathroom shelf barely attached to wall.

Would not recommend using this hotel chain as they don't honor their reservations and they're just not up to standard for what you expect for the price.

Also pretty sure they're using AI to write responses to these reviews which implies they aren't looking at them.

If you do decide to stay here:

1. Bring earplugs. Walls are paper thin and I heard our neighbors all night.
2. Put up a do not disturb sign on your door before going to bed. Housekeeping came by at 9am. Checkout is 11am so that's weird.

Great hotel, but the parking was soo expensive!

The rooms were nice, outside pool was also a plus. Parking space cost more than in Las Vegas.

Nice hotel with above average amenities, right in the heart of San Diego alongside the bay. Walking distance to all sorts of activities, transportation, food, and shopping. Immediately adjacent to a breakfast restaurant and Ruth's Criss, as well as Claim Jumper within the hotel itself. On site parking (self or valet). Call ahead about overnight parking rates.

This night shift auditor is RACIST. He was rude to my family after I explained to him the previous shift said it was fine for us to stay in the lobby. Mind you EVERYTIME I try to book this hotel it's always booked. The location is by the ocean but there are homeless encampment nearby which is sad. The security guard wasn't bright at all either and threatened to call police on a Wyndham Member. For the record Fatboy I am a PLATINUM MEMBER. I had a meeting there earlier that ended late and was waiting for the FLIX BUS. Overall this was a horrible experience. Don't book here!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location, value for money. They don't have breakfast option or 24-hour coffee options.

I was in town last week for a large conference and had trouble even from booking at this hotel. I had trouble getting through to the front desk to answer questions prior to my stay, after I arrived in the airport hoping to ask for directions to the airport shuttle, and even when I was experiencing issues with my rooms (yes, rooms multiple). From check-in, the staff member's attitude made me feel like I was wasting her time. She first assigned me to a room that was already occupied (imagine my horror when the current occupants were awoken from their nap by me attempting to enter their room). When I returned to the front desk, the staff member did not even apologize but assigned me to a different room. I entered that room to find the AC broken and it's drain pipe in the ceiling of the bathroom leaking all over the bathroom counter. I called the operator to discuss the issue and they transferred me to the front desk- surprise, I did not get through to them). I called the operator again who said they would call maintenance immediately. It took over 30 minutes for maintenance to arrive but the gentleman was efficient and kind. He seemed to have fixed the AC and cleaned the mess in the bathroom. That night the AC broke again so I requested a new room the next morning. Once again, the front desk staff member (different from my check-in) did not even apologize for the inconvenience. This final room was adequate, though the whole building is dated and not very clean. I was not offered servicing of my room despite staying 5 nights. The only upside to this hotel is its location.

Overall, I had a poor experience and would not recommend this hotel to family or friends.

WiFi limited to only 3 devices in a room booked for 4. The 2 ‘queen’ room was actually 2 beds that were probably a little smaller than full size. Will not recommend!

Despite good positives, this hotel has some negatives. From our room, we had a beautiful view but we must give priority to the view of the bay. The room is fine and the maid service comes once every two days. The hotel pool is cold. There are good facilities for bodybuilding. The sound from the windows is not very good and therefore in the morning you can hear a lot of traffic, I recommend having earplugs.
I still recommend this hotel.

Older hotel but it's been remodeled. Multiple towers so getting around is interesting. Priceline said the rooms were queen beds but ended up being full. It was tight with us and our kids but we enjoyed our time. Pool was good just dirty around the edge.

We also enjoyed the balcony and ocean breeze. We had our sliding door open when temperatures were mild throughout the day.

Booking rooms is very confusing because it seems like there may be a king room with a connected room with a pull out couch, but the room descriptions are so difficult to figure out it's hard to know. We probably would stay again but I would need to reach out to someone there about appropriate accommodations.

Hotel would have a great Balcony but the door is screwed shut. Not ideal if you’re looking to hang out and relax.

Fantastic staff esp Athena, Eric and Natalie! Even the coffee cart lady was super kind! Gorgeous view from upper tower rooms; spent time on balcony smelling the sea air and hearing music drift up from Embarcadero. Perfect for my ‘staycation’ escape!

Excellent location, comfortable beds, the receptionist who speaks Spanish is very attentive, but the one who speaks English did not make an effort to speak Spanish. The good thing is that they stored luggage at no additional cost when checking out.

I asked to pay for an upgraded room and was told I already had the best room. 2 other family members had different rooms that were definitely an upgrade from the room I stayed in.
