XINJIANG BBQ reviews
17Great spot to buy skewers with fair prices and delicious flavors. The quality of the beef skewers, along with the tasty seasonings and spices will leave you satisfied! I prefer to order for pickup over dine-in due to the service and wait times, but this BBQ spot is an excellent late night choice for bigger groups.
It tastes terrible, it's all baked. If this store opened in China, it would close down
Amazing, love the vibe, foods sometime take a little to serve and are a bit expensive though.
Edit: extra star for the prompt reply. Here's to hoping they can get that checked out!
I liked the flavor but all the skewers taste the exact same. Crispy chicken skin was good. Cucumber salad was also quite good. Atmosphere was cute. 4/5 on food, 4.5/5 service quite attentive, fast, and polite. But where they drop to 3 stars for me is the shockingly bad smelling bathrooms. The straight up sewage stank coming out of the drains in both bathrooms was nearly enough to make me violently return all the food I just ate. Imagine standing inside a sewage treatment plant. Now confine that to a single stall bathroom and replace all the pleasant aromas in your recent memory with one clear, rancid note of human excrement but somehow worse. Truly remarkable. Seriously, cover those vents or something. It's enough to make me try every single skewer place in the city before coming back, despite the decent food and fairly reasonable prices. A shame.
Something completely different. Never seen something like this but was a nice experience. Unfortunately all Tables and also the Floor were dirty. Could be a bit more clean.
The skewers all use the same seasoning which is not even that good. Most importantly, the skewers didn’t even come out hot. Would not recommend this place for skewers.
Anybody who doesn’t love this place is tripping. Been 4 times. Favorite late night spot. Authentic Chinese bbq, like I used to eat late night in yunnan when I lived there. Staff is always super helpful. Cool music. Tip- tell them NO SUGAR on the potatoes. That is not a yunnan thing hahaha. Please never close!
Amazing hidden gem! A must place to try delicious lamb skewers with variety of spice options. They used to have seatings outside on the parking lot during Covid but now we can enjoy the food comfortably indoor. Lamb skewers are perfectly cooked in the kitchen and arrives perfectly juicy inside and crispy outside. We usually start with cucumber with garlic as an appetizer, and sweet and sour fries for the kids. Eggplant is also a great dish for vegetarian friends. Today we tried Spicy crawfish and it was tasty - crawfish was fresh and even the soup was delicious. Last but not the least, their lamb dough drop soup is very hearty and fulfilling, definitely a good choice for a chilly day
Cool, place kinda of expensive kinda not. Just saying I've been to better tasting places that are cheaper.
There is no aroma at all. The mutton skewers have no sheep flavor, the beef skewers have no beef flavor, and ingredients such as quail eggs, which are easy to handle, have no texture or taste.
The food was served slowly. The grilled steamed bun slices and meat skewers I ordered were not served even after I finished eating them. When I asked, they were told they would be ready soon. Although the squid is very big, it is very fishy and still cold. Overall experience is very poor
This is a rubbish shop. Don’t go there. The service is terrible. The attitude is arrogant and low-quality. You don’t know basic etiquette. The food is all fried and tastes terrible.
Always excellent Chinese BBQ. If you haven't had Chinese barbecue before this would be a great place to start. The lamb is probably the big surprise it's amazing. Just about everything on the menu is good including some surprises like the oysters.
Tried this place with my husband when we were visiting LA, not too bad, but just not like the one we had in other places, the food was average but the atmosphere was good,
First time here. Typhoon weekend, come to eat. No need to wait in line. The taste is very good, especially the zero-sparkling sake, which is delicious. I ordered garlic vermicelli scallops and fried clams, a bunch of skewers. Another thing to say is, I don’t know if my brother likes to listen to folk songs today or plays folk songs every day, but I really don’t like folk songs. I’m young, so play some happy music. Thanks.
The roasted ones are all old and tasteless.
I would rather eat instant noodles at night
If I could give it a million stars I would.
A lot of skewers place tend to be pricey as the portions are small and the bill adds up but I feel like the prices here were more reasonable.
I tried many things like their beef and lamb skewers, fried tofu, fish cake, potato slices and chicken skin but what stood out to me the most was their bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms. Everything I had was flavorful yet so tender. There’s additional spices on the side if you feel like there isn’t enough.
I think there were about 2-3 people working yet everything came out fast and they were so nice.
Side note: They tell you this- if you pay in cash, you can get a free can of soda! If you want to order you scan the QR code and when you want to pay you can come to the counter or flag down a staff member to help you. Each table has a mini TV screen for you to do karaoke and each table gets one song to pick.
