Happenstance? Fate? Luck? Probably a combination of all three. A planned stay at the Lake Austin Spa Resort came with a bonus in that celebrity hair stylist Billy Yamaguchi was a guest speaker. He shared how he incorporates Feng Shui principles to provide a hairstyle that matches your lifestyle, and then offered to apply those principles to style my hair. Game-changer! Not only does my hair have a new energy and bounce, I have a new energy and bounce. Billy is a master of his craft, but his warmth, personality, and genuine care will impact you even more than the new hairstyle. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

My daughter and I had a shared private session with Billy while staying at the Lake Austin Spa and Resort. Our time with Billy was wonderful! He knows how to make one feel good about themselves. We both came out looking and feeling great! It was a great opportunity for me to share something with my daughter (age16). I highly recommend this experience to anyone needing an uplift to their look.

Billy was truly amazing. His feng shui approach is something a lot of people would initially write off, but if you really listen to all the advice and knowledge Billy has you start to gain an understanding of how wonderful his approach really is. I really enjoyed getting my hair cut at Yamaguchi Salons! Billy has such a positive energy and passion for hair styling as well as life and wellness. It was definitely a celebrity experience. It does come at a celebrity price, but Billy mentioned that he creates styles to last, so when you consider having a great cut for several months, it makes it worth it. On top of that, everyone at the salon was super nice, and overall it was a great experience!

My appendix ruptured and I was hospitalized for 12 days. I didn’t eat for nearly a month. I lost 20 pounds. Two months later, from the stress of the illness, half of my hair fell out. I struggled with feeling good about myself.

At the Lake Austin Spa, Billy cut, styled and feng shui my thick, wavy and frizzy hair into a fresh, chic look with lots of movement. My friends and family thought my hair looked great! He suggested ideas for color that would enhance my features, my skin tone and even my personality. While I did not color my hair this time (because I just had it colored) he gave me a new way to think about my color and enough instruction to create with my home town colorist. Billy is kind, interesting and down to earth and I would highly recommend

Bobby was wonderful and accommodating. I called last-minute to have my 11 year-old-daughter’s hair cut. She has very long hair and wanted it cut and styled a specific way. Of course my daughter wanted it cut for a birthday party later that day. My wife called her personal hair stylist, but she wasn’t available on such a short notice. I called Yamaguchi and Patricia told me she would check with Bobby and get back to me. Patricia called me back within 5 minutes and said he could cut my daughter’s hair if she could get there in 15 minutes. We live in Thousand Oaks, so with traffic, it took us 30 minutes. The staff was so kind to us even when we arrived late. Bobby cut her hair just the way she wanted. He was very gentle with my daughter and explained everything thoroughly to her. Bobby was very engaging and easy to talk to. My daughter enjoyed her experience and will be definitely coming back for her next hair cut. Thank you Bobby!

It was such a pleasure to meet Billy Yamaguchi, he has such a positive energy. I was looking for an experience hair stylist and I’m glad the universe helped me to find Billy, I am super happy with my hair, he helped me understand my hair and knew right away what I was looking for and in addition, I learned a lot about my skin tone. I live in Ventura and super happy to find a high end quality salon, no need to go all the way to LA.

I had an amazing experience getting my highlights done by Billy. He blends Fengshui with his work and through the questions he asked me was able to read who I was and perfectly understood how I wanted my hair done! I loved how my hair turned out and would definitely come back again. I think I've found my new hair stylist:)
