The drinks were good original hibiscus mixed was solid recommended by outsidebartender. Pineapple fried rice with shrimp, steak and chicken was unnecessary it was served room temp in a Pineapple that was cut in half and kinda cut here and there in a weak attempt to wow and it's basically Panda express rice for $40. Sea bass was perfectly seared and had a nice flavor. Never got the sushi that was ordered. Take those Pineapples and make margaritas with them.

Food and service 2nd to none! Honestly enjoyed every second bartenders are knowledgeable and took a take or two from the movie cocktails an added service well noted and BJ our server was absolutely 1st class the food took a lil bit longer then I would expect but worth the wait the tomahawk with lobster tail was great till the last bite and a side of baby broccoli, fingerling potatoes were cooked to perfection resturant was clean and tidy over all rating this one a 10 out of 10 and highly suggested for fine dining and dates you can't go wrong!

I called them to make a reservation nobody picks up the phone and their mailbox is all full so I went to the restaurant and was told that it's by reservation only. Just waste of time.

I visited Yamashiros recently for a sushi date. It was gorgeous and the ambience was magical. However, the server was not attentive so I left and gave some feedback on the way out. The restaurant director graciously invited me back and took care of my entire meal, which was unexpected and most generous. For my return visit, we were seated at an outside view table, with excellent service from Zack. The sushi and sashimi were delicious, the Wagyu beef was a real treat with the hot stone and vegetables. Daniel, the new manager was fabulous and checked on us twice. Definitely coming back, look forward to another evening with the spectacular view of Hollywood, its like being in a movie!

I would have given a zero star. Worst fine dining experience ever. The food is just some bright hood corner sushi shop food. Does not worth the price. The view I can go to Griffith park and get it for free. Worst service ever. Waited 30 minutes to order entree nobody came. So I asked for the check, waited another 30 minutes for the check. And the guy told us it’s because the waiter has a whole section. I’m not paying for someone that doesn’t know how to arrange and do their job. Not my problem. Never coming back again.

The food and atmosphere was incredible. The sea bass, lobster roll and yellowtail were the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter was just okay but otherwise I would definitely recommend this spot.

Yamashiro's what's not to love and enjoy? Good atmosphere, good food, helluva service staff from the inception at the host / hostess to the server, the runner and the head honcho GM. Fine dining experience at it's finest above in the hills of Hollywood. This place is amazing, I have enjoyed it here ever since I became an official adult and have been coming ever since when I am able too. Bring back the Kabuki girls that were part of the host / hostess experience back then that was cool and gave it authenticity. Regardless if you don't visit at least once in your lifetime, I'd say you're missing out on an LA / Hollywood landmark. Thanks to the brothers that built this place and for the city to be able to allow it to open as a restaurant back in the days of way back. The other cool things about here are the open air experience inside where the biggest Koi pond I've ever seen exists.

We came with a small group for my friends birthday and it was worth it one of the best birthdays we have so far. One of the best things about this place is the customer service staff is very friendly and attentive everything that they recommended was great as far as food it was up there. Of course it’s a little bit pricey but the good thing is it has great views and a better location. I liked everything about it the inside is beautiful the outside is great too definitely recommend you go try it out for yourself.

We came in a company of three people.the appetizer was brought along with the main order and all the dishes were served at different times, I already ate mine, while my friends had not yet brought the rolls.no soy sauce served, service is terrible although polite. And expensive place.

100 years building at the peak of los Angeles. And it is in the cty center. You could see LA from above. They have enough parking space. Or you could walk up to the hill.

The ambiance, the service and the food were excellent. We also ordered king salmon and the lamb chop dinner to go. I highly recommend both of them.

I witnessed with my own eyes a roach run across the bar while waiting for my drink.the griddle is trash.service is a 1 and food is -100.the waiters never revisit the table for refills.i gave them 10 for the view, which is how they got a 2. Will never visit again.
