Absolutely recommend Yannay! Great trainer and coach, highly recommend his program for horses and riders in the reining industry and a great colt starter.

My horse is finishing up 3 months of training with Yannay. I've had this gelding since he was born, but kids, work, and a couple of surgeries got in the way, and his formal training was put off way too long. With him being 7 years old, with a lot of groundwork and love but no time under saddle, I was very picky about who would start him. I'm a lifelong, experienced rider, but have not had much time in the saddle the last few years, and my main goal was to have my gelding safe, well-started, and well-rounded for me to work with. Yannay has exceeded my expectations. My horse tends to "turn off" if he's pushed too hard; Yannay has worked him gently and consistently, without pushing him past his comfort zone. As a result, in a few weeks I will be bringing home a horse I am now very comfortable working with under saddle. He is working at all gaits in the arena, and softening into contact. Yannay has also had him on trail and has exposed him to as many different situations as possible. I've been able to trailer my older gelding out and ride twice on the trails with them; and my younger one has been an absolute gentleman on trail. I am so appreciative of the work Yannay has put in to make my gelding into a partner that I'm looking forward to a long future with!

Yannay has helped me with my Reined Cow Horse and he did an awesome job. He truly loves what he does and wants to help horses and riders to achieve greatness. Would highly recommend him.

Two years ago I took my daughters new horse to him because the previous owner said “she kicks out at the canter & just needs an attitude adjustment. ” Yannay worked with the mare and helped my daughter learn to ride her. Shortly after he discovered the horse was sore and suggested we have a vet evaluate her. Long story short, she was diagnosed with DSLD & we had to make the most difficult decision ever. Instead of continuing what could have been a very painful existence for the horse, we were able to put her at rest. The vet told us “ it’s the most unselfish thing we could do for her. ”
Fast forward to now, my daughter found her heart horse, and with Yannay’s expertise, teaching and training along the way she reached a goal & became a local Rodeo Queen! He has become a mentor and friend to us both. We have gained an immeasurable amount of knowledge of horses than we could have ever imagined. Yannay’s training of our horse, along with teaching my daughter, has allowed her to participate in all the equestrian events she ever wanted to do & more. He helped them become a team!
I wouldn’t recommend anyone else for your horse needs! I could write even more…. But if you’ve made it this far, I hope it helps you with a most important decision of choosing the right Trainer!

I highly recommend Sliders Performance Horses. Yannay has helped me with my gelding and building my confidence with him.

My gelding is almost 4 years old and has already gone through about 4 months of training about 6 months ago with a different trainer. When I got him back from the first trainer he just wasn’t to a point where I was comfortable riding him. He was extremely reactive, cinchy, bucked at the hitching post and spooked at what felt like every little thing.

I decided to put him back into training as I just wasn’t knowledgeable enough to fix these issues. I reached out to Yannay and explained my situation and what I needed.
I also told him I wanted to be actively involved with his training as I had not been at the previous trainers due to time and distance. Yannay was completely understanding, has explained everything he has been doing and why. There has been a huge difference in my gelding already. Many of the issues I had before have been resolved and Yannay is teaching me how to be a more calm and balanced rider.

You can tell Yannay is passionate about training horses and getting them to be willing partners. His goal is to make you and your horse form that partnership so that you both can enjoy the rides together.

He keeps open communication with you on where your horse is at. He is very direct in his communication but in a good way. He doesn’t sugar coat things which I appreciate. He will tell you the truth not what you want to hear and again I appreciate that. I know some may not but I do.

I highly recommend him as a trainer, his horses are well taken care of, he works with you on your goals for riding and how to achieve them. It’s been an overall great experience!

Side Note: I rode my gelding for the first time today, I was like riding a completely different horse. No issue at cross ties, no issue saddling and when riding he felt balanced and collected. It was an overall great ride and I am excited to see how much more my horse will continue to progress!

Yannay said he knew how to keep my 2 year old reining mare sound.and if I told him once, I told him hundreds of times to take it easy on my horse because she is NOT a futurity prospect, I just want to have fun on her at local reining shows.but he overrode her and made her lame (with the help of his farrier, which he insisted I use) and now she is useless to me as a reiner and just about everything else. This trainer DOES NOT have the KNOWLEDGE to keep them sound! Don't let him ruin your expensive reiner! I see on these reviews that he got several people to give him 5 star reviews about how he started their young horses and fixed their problem horses.he may be decent at that, but in my experience, and watching him with other people's reining horses, he does not know what he is doing AND DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO KEEP THEM SOUND.if you want to use your expensive reiner as a learning tool for this green reining trainer.go for it! And good luck keeping your horse sound. He also did not show up (after being pre-paid to do so) at a reining show.he was the "trainer" for one of my friends and she pre-paid him and he failed to show up the morning of the show because he went out partying the night before, so she took her horse into the practice ring on her own and unfortunately got badly injured. He never gave my friend her money back (AND the money she pre-paid him to exercise her horse while she was out of town for two weeks he never paid back to her!). Yannay is too immature and unknowledgeable to be called a reining trainer. He made my horse irreparably lame riding her too hard, too young and failed to be responsible enough to be on time to a show.what else is there for a trainer to do.you decide if you want to spend money on this type of trainer. UPDATE: I see that Yannay responded to my review with the comment that he does not know who I am.this is more proof that this guy does NOT take responsibility for ANYTHING and is too immature to do so. He knows exactly who I am, I was his only reining client at the time and he would not have called my husband to ask him to remove my review if he didn't know who the heck I am! Sorry Yannay, the truth hurts sometimes and because you totally ruined my horse, you get a bad review.

Yannay is amazing! He is a great trainer and very knowledgeable. I can’t recommend Yannay enough!
