This is a YMCA experience open to boy and girl scout. Big cafeteria with camp style food, then campfire at night and maybe a sketch show. Has a nautical pirate theme to the place. Been going for5 years.

Great! One of the girls favorite spots to camp. Hard to beat surfing and camping on the sand when meals are taken care of in a chow hall which has open air seating on the beach! Best of both worlds

Great campground, it's one of our favorite destinations in the YMCA Adventure Guides program. Beach camping or brand new cabins, and a full lineup of activities for kids by the ocean

This is our 2nd year. Counselors are fun and caring. I have felt like the kids are safe because of their protocols.
My son has SO MUCH FUN and comes home cheering himself on for standing up and riding waves all the way in.
Other activities include climbing wall, field games, obstacle course, crafts and more

We always have fun here. This year was different because of covid but we still enjoyed our selves. My daughter was stung by a sting ray, which is very common here, so do the shuffle when coming to shore.

15 years ago my daughter surfed the green on her last day in surf camp for me (Mom) I was super stoked and very proud of her bravery

So much fun! The last time I was here was at least 25 years ago and it was way better than I remember. Our cabin was super cute and perfect for our Girl Scout troop of 11 girls and 3 adults. So many fun activities and opportunity for down time as well. Highly recommend!

The name defines it, the experience makes it more. One of the best, grounded, and finite times any kid could ask for. Ty camp surf! Your legacy will last for many generations.

Ah, I remember going here when I was in 6th grade with my classmates and teachers. It was a nice experience, you slept near the ocean, the counselors were very nice, you can swim in the sea, but I think the best part of my trip was just going around the area, learning cool stuff. The food was actually pretty good, including the tea/coffee they had over there. I wish I could go back here and have that experience again: (

This is actually IB beach. Surf camp is very close by.this beach, my loves the water I go everytime I get the opportunity. It's literally like 20 mins away from Chula vista.
They keep it very clean, and there are life guards on duty. Plus there are sand dollars every where. Never seen so many before on the beach. Its awesome!

Love this beach. Dogs are welcome. They keep it pretty clean. U can find massive amounts of sand dollars here, really cool! Not too many ppl where its overcrowded, and there are lifeguards on duty.u can fish as well right off the rocks.

I may have reviewed this place before but it’s well worth repeating. The Y camp is fabulous, we brought about 23 students and 5 staff. The lodging consists of cabins and bunk beds inside the cabins. They recently built the newest cabins, the floors are pine, the walls are pine, the bunk beds made from pine wood.
But the old cabins out back on the other side of the marsh are still available.
The only drawback is the vicinity of the bathrooms. It’s a fair hike to the facilities. They have put portable toilets around the area and the toilets are generally very clean (except after being used by a plethora 11 year old boys). But it’s camping!
The staff members are awesome! The food is awesome! Fresh and tasty.
There is plenty of parking for the big charter buses as well as school buses.
