It’s taken me several years to write a review. It wasn’t because I couldn’t think of anything to write but I was afraid that I’d have too much to say. Yoga Sukham changed the way I practiced and felt about yoga. From the ropes wall, to the inversion trainer along with my daily practice has given me a strength that I’d never experienced before. I highly recommend Yoga Sukham but not just for the practice but mainly for the people. The teachers are exceptional. You will NOT regret it.

Very good studio, highly recommended! Instructors are very well trained and give clear instructions. They offer both in person and online options and both are very effective.

When I was looking for a yoga studio one year ago, this was the only place to return my call. Right from the start, I felt good energy. Yoga Sukham is a calm, relaxing & inviting place. Although the class is a group setting the teachers are attentive to the students. I feel I get special attention! I feel lucky to have found this place. It is a wonderful way to start the morning.

If you are looking for an authentic Iyengar yoga asana practice place which is both fulfilling and enriches your experience and understanding of yoga, then Yogasukham studio is the place for you. I had some prior experience with Vinyasa yoga and when I started my search for a yoga place, I was looking for something that would make me feel comfortable and motivate me to practice regularly. Yogasukham has a 2-week trial period to make up your mind, but truth be told, I was sold with the very first session. I was amazed with Satya and Varsha's love and passion for imparting knowledge and their abundance of patience to guide in the correct way of practicing poses. Best of all, the studio has option of online practice where you will get the same experience, same attention to detail as in-person session.
At Yogasukham, I have found a community that is so welcoming to the new members and so dedicated in learning. Here we get to learn the right way to enter and exit a pose, different ways of doing the same poses using different props, variations of the poses, how to have an in-body experience to improve the poses and stay in them longer and to top it all no pressure to get the things right then and there.
Varsha and Satya constantly remind the practitioners that it's alright to not get the full extent of the pose right away and that a modification of the pose is not a bad thing as long as the basic intent of the pose is not lost. This is such a big encouragement to continuously work on your body and improve in one's practice.
I have recently moved 40 miles from the studio but am still able to practice through online sessions and occasional drop-in to the studio for in-person practice.
I am improving my knowledge of Asanas as well as other limbs of Yoga through the Advanced Study Program offered by Yogasukham. In this program I am learning about the minute details of the various poses, modifications, proper use of props, meditation, pranayam, yogasutras, the list goes on.
I am glad I found and joined Yogasukham and become part of this amazing community.

I've had the privilege of being a student at this fantastic yoga studio for a while. This place undeniably merits a solid five-star rating!

First and foremost, the theme-based daily asana sessions have been a game-changer for me. Each day, we explore a different aspect of asanas, from deepening our practice to mindfulness state. It keeps things fresh and exciting.

Flexibility in scheduling is another standout feature. With a busy work schedule, I greatly appreciate the range of class timings. I can always find a session that fits my day, no matter how hectic it may be.

The ambiance is simply superb. The studio is nestled in a peaceful corner. The serene environment is perfect for centering yourself and focusing on your practice.

What sets this place apart is the homely atmosphere. It's like a big family. The founders, Mr. Satya and Mrs. Varsha, have created an incredibly warm and welcoming environment.
Their guidance and teachings have been transformative for me. Their passion for yoga is contagious, and they truly lead by example.

Through my practice here, I've learned to connect my body and mind on a deeper level. The emphasis on mindfulness has made me more aware and present, not just on the mat but in every aspect of my life.

One of the things I cherish most is the diversity of the student community. We come from various backgrounds and age groups, and we all learn from each other. It's incredibly enriching to share experiences and insights with such an open-minded group.

In summary, this yoga studio is a gem. The versatile team, the welcoming environment, and the daily theme-based sessions have made my yoga journey truly fulfilling. I can't recommend it enough to anyone seeking a holistic yoga experience.

Namaste.

You are here to read about this studio, and my review may or may not resonate with you. But if you value any of these, then your search ends here!

1. The teaching is rooted in the solid legit Iyengar yoga principles, (the real deal) which was key to me. By the end of the practice I feel like I have done a good workout but also feel calm and grounded. The class pace seems just right.

2. They have so many batches to choose from - which helps with my unpredictable schedule. I absolutely loved that going in. If you cant make it to the studio, there's the option to attend class online. And if you missed both, you get a recording of the days practice to follow along at your own time. Besides, the regular workshops they keep holding like Rope Wall and Yoga Inversion helps in continuous learning.

3. The incredible community I got is priceless. Especially with the Yoga Advanced Studies Program I am doing with them. It is true when they say that having a community increases the chances of keeping one's exercise regimen. Besides, this place feels very secular, liberal and modern; I see participants from all backgrounds, age groups and walks of life meeting on common 'inspired' ground.

I have been practicing yoga at this amazing studio (YogaSukham), and cannot say enough good things. The teachers are not enough skilled but also friendly and compassionate. It feels like warm and homely environment what makes this studio even better is their well structured curriculum.
The teachers, Satya and Varsha are exceptionally helpful, guiding us not just in physical practice but also understanding the deeper dimensions of yoga. All the teachers are great here and I have gained so much from their guidance.
Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an awesome place to learn and practice Yoga, then you should enroll for classes at YogaSukham. I and my spouse had been going to YogaSukham for the past 4+ months and I enjoy every class and always look forward for the next.

We learn something new in every class and our Gurus like Satya and Varsha help us improve by suggesting micro adjustments which help us tremendously.

Our Gurus make the classes fun and interesting wanting us to not miss the next.

A BIG THANK YOU to YogaSukham and looking forward to continuing my Yoga journey. Onward and Upward!

I've been practicing yoga on and off for 20 years. This is hands down the best yoga studio I have ever encountered! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly and the staff is focused on helping you with your practice -with individualized teaching. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you will find that you belong here. The teaching methodology focuses on the "how" of poses - the muscles you activate, the process of entering and exiting poses - very carefully explained and very individualized. If you are one of those people who say, "I can't do yoga" or "I'm not flexible", I encourage you to give this studio a try. The supportive environment and excellent teaching will cause you to change that self-talk. Anyone can "do" yoga - you need the right guide to help you. You will find that guide at Yoga Sukham.

Yoga practice at the YS studio has helped me rediscover the little things I almost take for granted-like taking deep breath’s for starters. I am an absolute novice with 10 months into the practice. Yoga did not make it to the list until 2022 although everything else made it to that list. Come New Year’s resolution-30 minutes of ‘intense’ research that included skimming through the reviews of studios in & around the vicinity of home that offered in person instruction is how I came upon YS studio. I signed up & then called the studio-ready to go! This was those NY’s full proof ‘commit to it -no back out-I swear’ kinda plans. Satya was gracious & patient enough to answer ALL my questions AFTER I had registered! My first few weeks were all about gauging the vibe I felt in the studio, testing my abilities, telling my right hand/leg from my left hand/ leg, doubting if yoga was indeed for me, being introduced to terms like bolsters, blocks, teardrop cushion, sacrum, lumbar, lesser trochanter, sternum, sitz bones! Although the only constant was showing up! Varsha & Satya ease you into it all. I have to admit that sometimes there is that little voice in your head that tells you to aim for perfection right away and end up like a pretzel. But you learn slowly but surely to ENJOY THE PROCESS! Well. Satya & Varsha only say it out aloud every day! I’ve come to understand that the yoga practice at YS follows along the lines of Iyengar yoga -developed & named after BKS Iyengar. It emphasizes on precision & alignment hence the use of a wide range of yoga tools like blankets, bolsters, straps, ropes, chairs, blocks & such to help practitioners to find the correct alignment in their poses. It is the little things with the practice at YS that work for me. The deep breathing instead of taking short quick breaths, the patience & the grace to accept where I am in the practice are my key take aways in the last ten months. Again, Satya & Varsha only reinforce it out aloud every day! I have gone from experiencing days of self doubt to moments of awe, from being impatient to keeping my self- confidence in check, from sticking to what I think indigenously works for me to trying to explore. On some days it works & on some it doesn’t and that is exactly what the practice at YS hopes to share. IT is OKAY. (Again, Varsha & Satya only mention it in passing pretty much every day!)
I understand that practice at YS is easy to follow along even if you were to simply watch both Varsha & Satya get into the poses (the words by one of our parent’s visiting us & chose to join YS albeit for a few months)
Both Varsha & Satya are very patient, mindful, giving & unique in their offerings of the practice. The sessions are anything but mundane. I want to think they might have switched things up a bit after a visit from a certain MASTER. Besides Varsha & Satya, I have had the opportunity & have enjoyed my evening sessions taught by Denay, Carol & Manisha (they just happened to teach at a time more suitable to my schedule). Denay’s teaching style IMO seems a lot like Satya’s. I have loved practicing at the studio primarily. It is quite organized, well stocked & always neatly kept. YS offers many workshops (never heard of any such in the past) like the Rope-wall workshop which seems to be a crowd favorite. You use the ropes and straps on the wall & do some of the poses like the forward or backward folds. I have been to a few of them & it has always been a different experience each time! Then, there is the Sound Bath workshop that I’ve liked simply because it seems like a moment of escape from all the clutter & chaos around. But the best one so far & the most intense & challenging one has been the sessions with the Master Shri HS Arun ji whenever he visits from India. YS hosts these workshops at the studio. This one is a true revelation! Arun Ji breaks down the minutest aspects of the practice-like how you close your eyes or how how you breathe or even your basic sitting poses. An Inversion’ workshop using an inversion chair is coming up soon at the studio. An update later.
