Yorba Linda Public Library reviews
15All 3 employees I dealt with on this 1st visit to their new location were wonderfully helpful and pleasant.
Went there for the first time this week and it was very clean, quiet, and the staff was very kind. It looks like it's a new building. The only bummer is that there is no cafe inside the library. On the other hand, that is a good thing because it forces you to go out and eat instead of studying endlessly. I usually put my head phones to cut out the noise but I didn't need to do that at this library. It was that quiet with an occasional cough/sneeze, or talk here and there.
I found some great books here that I have being looking for for 10 years. Nice environment Favorite place to write my new book here. Field guide of Encountering fierce animals in Africa.
Fantastic new building. Very open and lots of natural light. Great selection, checkout kiosks everywhere. Seed Bank, instruments printers! It goes on and on with offerings.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been in the library. I love this place! It’s organized, roomy, easy to check out books on the kiosk! The people who work there are friendly! With so many negative and sad things going on in the last 2 years, I need the inspiration to read and get my mind off of things. This place is huge and I will go back to explore with my kids too! Besides the beautiful structure, it’s a calm and wonderful place to just hang out and read!
Great brand new library, lots of selections including movies and video games. Lots of study space you can reserve.
Awesome building! Went for a passport appointment, 6/5 stars! Friendly, well-prepared staff made it super quick and easy. Wish my whole life was this easy. Well done passport people!
Love the building structure, looks so elegant. Plenty of seating indoirs as well as outdoors. Reminds me of my 4 yr college library, Alma Mater. Most books from teens to adults is on the 2nd floor. Children's books is on the 1st floor best decision ever. They have an ample elevator and elegant stairs. Bathrooms near center of library and study private enclosed rooms, all glass. Largersitting areas. Many seating chairs near shelving areas. In teen room there are outlets next to each chair to charge cell phones & other devices. Check out is amazing, after scanning your library card you place 3-4 books on the weigh scale under what resembles a giant cell phone screen and it automatically scans your books for check out then press print receipt. Absolutely cool! Outdoor seating is great, there's even a grass area. Lots of parking all in area, which makes it easier to park and a drive-thru drop boxes (about 5 in a row). Love the new look. Thumbs up.
Really nice. Too bad they went only 2 stories high bc now the PAC blocks the beautiful mountain view
Love the new library. My kids enjoy the summer reading program to earn prizes. We also enjoy donating and buying from the book store!
Facility is super nice but none of the workers seem to understand that they work at a library. Literally ALL of them use their outside voices when working which is super distracting to everyone trying to study. Being quiet must not be in the job description.
Really spacious library. Their children's area is huge with plenty of books and places to sit while still socially distanced. I like that many books are on display throughout the library to be taken and read. I found myself taking one of them rather than searching for one in the many aisles and reading with my child. The abundance of natural lighting adds to an uplifting mood. There is great area to learn more about the history of Yorba Linda complete with artifacts and images. Aside from the multitude of books and DVDs you can also borrow board games, vinyl records and even ready to go "book club" in a bag. " These "book club in a bag" includes a set of books complete with a printed summary and several discussion questions. Searching for resources is easy and accessible using the many available digital search stations. Even neater, you can also take away various vegetable and fruit seeds from their catalogue. The library also has a small store that sells various used books and DVDs. There are plenty of study rooms tucked away and scattered throughout the library. Self checkout stands are available.
Excellent! Beautiful library-newly renovated. Cannot wait until all their programs are reinstated. Must visit. Audio Books, and many other things available.
What an amazing upgrade from the previous library and not to say the other library had any issues however this is much more and as the letters state it is a true cultural center!
