Yoso Wellness Spa, Santa Cruz CA

I feel that I was conned into buying two candles from the store at Yolo, located on Front Street in Santa Cruz, this past Friday, December 15th. First of all they are not marked with prices. And when I found two that I thought my Mother-in-law would like, the salesgirl, Hannah, said "oh and those happen to be on sale! " Well, to my surprise they were $56.84 in sale! And by that time she had already wrung me up and I felt an obligation to purchase them. Not once, mind you.did she ever tell me this was a final sale, or they could not be returned, or exchanged or anything of the like. Nor does it say anything to the extent on my receipt.
However, when I finally get the balls to reenter the store and tell the same salesgirl, Hannah, that I had made a horrible mistake and cannot afford such a purchase on my extremely limited fixed income. She is understanding, and tries to help me. And leaves a message for her manager. When not able to get a hold of her manager, is just about to give me the refund.when all of a sudden her manager gets back to her and shuts her down immediately! Tells her that sale items are not refundable and that their policies are written on their website! Who in their right mind makes a purchase and then checks the website for the return policy? If it is not clearly stated in word or in writing on the receipt, I believe that my refund should have been honored. However, poor Hannah, would have probably lost job, should she have honored our refund because her manager (s) were too busy with outside, personal issues to handle the task at hand, and left her with an extremely irritated customer who is now writing this! On the management side, extremely POORLY handled and the WORST customer service I have ever ENCOUNTERED! I would NOT purchase anything from this establishment again as they are greedy, and do not care for their customers. I'm sure they can handle the return of two measly candles, but it was beyond them to take the time to deal with me. So thank you for allowing us to see how you really work with the public.

Jennalee did my facial and let me tell you this aged me back 10 years. My skin was treated so wonderfully and the massage was great. I loved how calming and peaceful it was the whole time. When you enter- you’re already treated amazing and the music and ambience is set to calm you. Then you get your skin plucked and primed and massaged for like an hour. It took me like another hour to process that it was over - because I loved the experience so much.

Atmosphere is 1000/10. Massage is 10/10, nails are 5/10. Jenny did my massage and it was so good. Dani gave me a Delux mani pedi regular polish and despite me really liking her as a person my nails were not up to my standards especially given how pricey the service was. Dani was lovely, attentive, and accommodating. My appointment got canceled and she made it her priority to fit me in before my trip despite her busy schedule. She was very meticulous and gentle and did a fabulous job cleaning up my toes. The nail polish job however especially on my nails was not great. To her credit I chose the worst color to work with (lightest color and thus very streaky) and the bottle was almost empty AND it’s an organic product which means it’s less durable then the toxic chemical nail polish typical salons use. Will be going back for toes but I think I will start doing my nails myself because I can’t bare to return to a regular salon where they use toxic products. Thank you YOSO

Yoso is newly renovated and bavk in the first floor. It's such a beautiful and safe space to get rid of the bad juju and bring in everything good. They offer many services, but I've only ever had a massage and have been color matched for tinted hydropure serum. My massages are scheduled with Jenny and will continue to be. Jenny is hands down, the best! She's as gentle as you would like her to be on sensitive areas but can also work her hands for the deep tissue massage. She communicates so you get the massage you want. I highly recommend Yoso Wellness Spa to anyone!

Had a fantastic facial here! Lauren was also so knowledgeable in skincare and was helpful in suggesting future care. Would go again easily!
