Our daughter has been going to YC since last year and has loved it! The teachers are very attentive and our daughter has thrived. Highly recommend YC.

We have been sending our child to Young Champions since last year and are very happy with the school facilities and all the teachers. The owner Ratna is fully involved in the growth and well-being of each and every child at the centre.

Their learning process is well rounded where your child not only learns academics but also enjoys all the fun activities that they have planned through the year. I like the way where the teachers at young champions have made learning fun through numerous fun activities and experiments. My kid never has a dull moment at school and is always excited to go to school.

Their summer camp activities have been the best where they have weekly themes and children enjoy different experiences each week. The vegetarian food that they offer the kids is the best part of all. The variety of food options gives kids a chance to enjoy nutritious and well cooked meals at school. Overall we have a great experience of enrolling our child at Young Champions Newark centre and would recommend parents to consider the school for their kids.

Young Champions preschool is the best!
We have our son enrolled since 10 months and we have seen him enjoying. He likes going to school and having a good time learning and playing same time.
Ratna the owner has been greeting children in the morning and evening and have been giving us the updates every day. Thank you for providing a nurturing and safe environment for our kid.

Young Champions, run by Ms. Ratna, has been such a positive experience for out two daughters. My daughters have been going for past 5 years. Ms. Ratna’s knowledge and the friendly, caring nature of the teachers clearly make it a great environment for kids. The combination of fun and learning activities, along with healthy food, is certainly a plus. It’s wonderful that our daughters love the school, which is a testament to its quality and nurturing atmosphere.

It's our daughter's 2nd year attending the summer camp at Young champions and she loves it! She attended the 4yr class last year at Fremont site and is attending the 5yr class this year at the Newark site. Both are pretty great! The teachers are really nice, and the kids are very friendly. Amelia made a few friends very quickly and started sharing her fun experiences at summer camp with us every evening. Every week there was a different theme. It's so cool when Amelia told us about Spain, magic shows, space, Olympics, etc. They even became a petting zoo once, so much fun!

Can’t thank enough to Miss Ratna and staff for giving my kids so much knowledge, love and care. Kids are growing and will move to bigger school but learning they received from Young Champions will always stay. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for nice education and care, 5 starts are not enough

My daughter went their for two months before pandemic hit and we liked the hot Indian food served to the kids and teachers taking care of kids. My daughter liked craft activities she was doing there.

My little one had extreme social anxiety so I was very scared, skeptical and stressed about moving her to a preschool from her daycare even after she turned 3.5.

***The First Impression***
I scheduled a tour (PURELY based on great Yelp reviews) after which we left with a strong intuition that this was the right place and got on their waiting list immediately.
Main reasons-
1. Amazing Director: Ms. Ratna was extremely reassuring, honest (no spot open immediately, place being a little far from our home), accommodating (my kid is a picky eater, was not potty trained but she offered to do it at no extra cost) & did not try to "oversell" - it was obvious she was passionate about this and loved being amongst kids.
2. Passed the "kid-test": The kids looked happy, teachers seemed friendly and cheerful (though very much in-control). They even coerced my daughter to go inside and dance with them!
3. Good environment and program:
a. Program looked well-designed for kids' overall development
b. Colorful, clean rooms with low furniture (encourages easy accessibility and communication between kids).
c. Great lunch menu: Fresh & healthy vegetarian Indian food made on special order (paratha, rice, lentils, sandwiches, noodles, etc.) ; no item repeated for the next couple weeks;food allergies taken very seriously.d. Safe location, security cameras: front door is always locked, secure drop-off/pick-up controlled via smartphone app.
***FEB 2019 till now***
Our anxieties were through the roof at drop off on Day 1 but there were absolutely NO tears (Ms. Ratna immediately sent us pictures which was very comforting). The staff worked on building trust over the next few days and made the difficult transition look so easy-peasy!
Best positives:
1. Open & Welcoming: My kid is excited to go to school everyday. Ms. Ratna knows the daily detailed routine of every kid and is honest in communicating the truth at pick-up. She often offers useful suggestions/tactics to deal with nitty-gritties and willingly accommodates any special requests.
2. Comprehensive curriculum + interactive teaching: Every day is a good balance of work and play. The teachers are patient & caring and share a good rapport with the kids (e.g. Getting down to eye-level to communicate).
a. Educational: Kids work on worksheets (alphabet/numbers tracing, coloring, craft, etc.) regularly and these are promptly shared with parents.b. Social: Group activities ("Show and Tell", class presentations, circle time) are routine so kids are compelled to interact and work as a team taking turns and respecting each others time/space.c. Physical: Enough time for outdoor activities & exercise (like Zumba), naps are scheduled.d. Discipline: Teachers reinforce positive behavior without bringing in any negativity and encourage children to be independent. My kid is getting better at using the potty, eating by herself and behaving right (using right words like please/thank you, sharing)
e. Misc: Special occasions (Birthdays, Valentine's Day, Diwali, Halloween etc.) are celebrated with great gusto and activities like game-playing, gift-exchanges, photo sessions, etc. A newsletter outlining syllabus and lunch menu is shared at the beginning of every month.
**********
What REALLY sets them apart from other preschools is that Ms. Ratna and team are always planning something new to bring out the best in kids.
Annual Day 2019 was beyond fantastic - a 2 hour performance on stage with well co-ordinated and choreographed Bollywood Dance sequences, skits, shows, etc.
Also, for Summer they have painstakingly arranged activities for all 12 Fridays (camping, face-painting, puppet-show, balloon-animal making by professionals, etc.)

The last 4 months have been wonderful and as parents we could have asked for nothing more. My little one has started showing significant advancement in all aspects of her personality and is growing in confidence slowly but steadily.
To all parents shortlisting preschools, I highly recommend considering Young Champions, I am confident you will not regret it!

Our then 2.5 yr son started going to Young Champions since last Dec and I had to transition him from a home based Day care in a short notice and was lucky to find a spot during that time and my son adjusted to this place right on the first day. And till date my son enjoys going to the school every morning. That in itself speaks a lot about the school and its teachers.

The school Director, Ms Ratna is the reason I instantly chose this place when I first went to see the facility. She is a warm person and had a positive vibe in her, she is soo fond of her kids at the school, and is passionate about what she does and I could figure that she puts in a lot of effort to have the best of the activities and things at her school. She is absolutely fabulous and very approachable and most importantly she knows what’s the best for kids.

Secondly, they provide fresh cooked healthy meals (Vegetarian) and snacks and follow the allergies policies strictly and there was my instant Yes, as we were very particular about what our kid will eat at the school. Young Champions is like second home for kids I like the way the kids are welcomed into school every day and how enthusiastic they are at the end of day. My son loves spending time there sometimes he doesn’t want to leave the school even though I pick him up soo late from there.:)

We love love love this school for many more reasons, all the teachers are soo nice, friendly and always with a smile and they all will give you the correct feedback of your child and that helps you understand how your kid is doing. The activities they do for kids at this age is mind blowing, they have music class that helps introduce kids to the various musical instruments, dance class where kids perform at the end of 3-4 months period. It was amazing to see all these around 3 yr old kids perform at the annual function the school had put together. Many other daily arts and crafts and academic activities where kids learn a lot of things daily.

That’s the other aspect, Ms Ratna had booked a theatre just for her kids to perform at the Annual program and we really appreciate that. Loved the annual Program that the teachers and herself had put together. Also the summer program for the kids is very exciting and well planned.

We definitely recommend Young Champions.
