Your Inner Health, Costa Mesa CA

I'd been having lower back pain for three years, on the left side. It felt like a mild pinch, but constantly reminded me it was there, to the point where I had to start sitting with a pillow behind my back when driving. It started to get worse a few months ago, where I was constantly waking up with such strong pain that it was causing spasms and causing me to have to use my graceful yoga moves to maneuver out of bed. I got some massages, did self-massages, had my husband use an electric massager on it, used a roller, tried to stretch it out, fasted, avoided inflammatory foods. And some of it helped to keep the pain from being too much, but nothing took it away.

At 8 AM this morning, on an empty stomach, I had my first colonic. The office was painted light green, was dimly lit and relaxing, and seemed newish, clean and in good repair. There were figurines and paintings of angels all over. I was greeted by the owner, Melissa, a sweet, warm, and positive person. We talked about why I was there, and then my appointment began with one of the hydrotherapy specialists, Kristina.

Kristina offered a safe and comfortable space and gave me plenty of information to get me prepared. For those who get grossed out, you can stop here. As I lay on my back, with a plastic tube inserted into my rectum, Kristina gave me an hour of cycles where she pumped warm, filtered water into my colon, and then emptied it out. Every time she pumped the warm water in, and it would reach the max, I'd start to feel like I had to go poop. Luckily, each time I'd begin to feel that way, she would empty me and that sensation would be relieved. It felt a little confusing, and several times I wanted to ask her if I could go to the bathroom, but I tried to just go with it. She brought my attention to where I could see what was being pulled out of my colon. Oh my grossness, but she was not grossed out. She was particularly enthusiastic about hard chunks, as if to congratulate me that we were removing this from my body.

In the end, Kristina gently removed the device and gave me instructions. She waited for me in the waiting room. My husband was there and drove me home. It's been 8 hours past the appointment. I aced an exam in my college class, went for a four mile run, and the back pain is gone!

Was experiencing alot of ab pain; after just one sesh most of the pain went away& i learned alot about my colon health! So grateful for adrianna

It was so great. Melissa is GREAT. I was nervous, but she is very friendly and she explain kindly and clearly. Even I'm not native English speaker, I understand. I was very comfortable. Also, I feel good after that.

I recently had my first ever colonic with Melissa after my friend convinced me to try it out. I wasn't really sure what to expect but Melissa was very informative and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole session. It's amazing how gut health can affect the rest of your body and I already feel better- I will definitely keep coming back and I highly recommended everyone give this a try!

I have been coming to "Your Inner Health" for almost 2 months now on a weekly basis and my experiences have all been positive. I have had sessions with every Colon Hydrotherapist: Melissa, Adrianna, Kristen, and Adrienne and they are all Wonderful! I am always so impressed with how they are so organized, they are never running late/behind schedule, you are always greeted right away as soon as you walk in the door to check in, they all have the most positive attitudes, they're friendly, they all do such a great job making you feel comfortable, they take so much time answering all your questions that you have every session, they are all very encouraging and supportive, and they do such a good job catching up with you after you are finished asking you how you feel, making sure you stay hydrated, and making recommendations on what type of routine they feel would work best with your current health needs.
I love the support that I have received while coming to Your Inner Health each week and am so glad I was referred to look into doing colon cleanses to help me on my current health journey! I highly recommend this center to anyone who is interested in trying/learning more about the benefits of doing a colon cleanse, and the benefits it can have on your health!

They make an uncomfortable situation very comfortable. The office is clean. The staff are friendly and they take the time to answer all your questions. I also really appreciate how accommodating they are with their scheduling.

This was my first colonic ever so I was pretty nervous on what I was going to experience. Melissa was so gentle and calming. She made me feel extremely comfortable and was so awesome at educating me on everything that was happening.

This review is from 10/23/2022 but I never posted it. The experience still bothers me, so thought I'd warn others. The positive is that they are open on Sundays, but the negative is that sessions are only 45 mins (not 60 mins), but if the tech has a nail appointment, it will be less than 45 minutes. First and last time here. I felt rushed. I felt uncomfortable. The tech told me she had a nail appointment at the end of the hour. When I said that I feel like I'm being rushed (as a tube was inside of me - literally, talk about awkward) she said that I am "welcome to go to another place, since there are plenty around, " [she was being rude and the comment was uncalled for. My experience with her felt contentious]. Plus, to get the first time special, it's $80 in cash (no Zelle, no Venmo) or $90 w CC. Hello year 2000. Never again. Horrible treatment, horrible customer service. I will be taking Adrienne's suggestion (that's the name of the rude and creepy colonic tech) of going to one of the other places around, if I'm ever in the area. I am a frequenter of colonics from Silicon Valley, to Palm Springs, to now the OC. Horrible treatment, horrible customer service. The only positive is they fit me in on a Sunday. Never again.

UPDATE: 4/13/2023:
The owner personally called me after I posted my initial bad review and said Adrienne, the CREEPY colonic tech that I saw last time, never said that she had a nail appointment to get to. So, basically, the owner sided with her employee and implied that I am a liar. Adrienne said to me THREE TIMES that she had to end my appointment after 30 minutes and even held up her hand to show me her broken nail (4 fingers had long nails and she wiggled the one that was broken) resulting in her rushing my appointment (while I was still hooked up! Mind you) to get to her 3 pm nail appointment. Also, on the amount of time they give per session (40-45 minutes), the owner said that "they only allow for 40 minute sessions so as to not 'tax' the body. " I went to 2 different colonics places after and asked if 40 minutes was enough time for a colonic and both colonic specialists said with conviction "absolutely not! " and the other said "no way, 50-55 minutes is standard. Sometimes things don't start to move until 40 minutes. " This place is a joke, these people are a JOKE, unprofessional, and AGAIN, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS PLACE unless you want to be rushed and ripped off. I want my $80 dollars back because I had to go to another colonic person to do the job this joke of a place wouldn't.

Adrienne is AMAZING! I’m so happy I found her and Your Inner Health! I didn’t know what to expect my first time in, but believe me, they will take great care of you and you gut will be so happy!

I've had about half a dozen colonics here so far, and they've all been fantastic thanks to Adrienne. She is always friendly, helpful, and super enjoyable to chat with. She answered all of my questions during my first appointment and is very supportive and discreet, so you can be sure that you'll feel comfortable during what can seem like a scary or awkward situation. Adrienne WINT is an Angel and has the most compassionate energy I came to Your Inner Health after suffering a horrible gut issue and she gave me so much Hope, Faith, Love & Positivity I am so blessed that I met her because she made my first colonic experience truly “smooth sailing”! I'm so happy I came to You Inner Health for my first colonic hydro. I did my session with Melissa, the owner, who is fantastic! She made the whole experience easy and comfortable. She thoroughly explained everything to me and answered all my questions, it was great! I also like the holistic natural vibe they have going on. For any first timers: the process is not as bad as you think if you're nervous about getting it! This is a great way to supplement your digestive/gut health!:)

I’m so thankful to Adriene she has helped me so much, she has given me my life back. I’m 60 years old & during a surgery I developed a life threatening infection. Adrienne Wint is amazing. I've gone to other places but did not like how I was treated. But Adrienne always makes me feel comfortable and tells cool stories to help you relax. 1000% recommend.
