I go to Yubalance 4x/week and love it! The instructors are great and the classes are challenging. It's all strength/HiiT but still good variety. Definitely recommend!

I love YuBalance! Such a great neighborhood studio. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and encouraging and the classes are a great workout. It's so convenient to have a studio in the neighborhood and I feel like I'm in the best shape I've been in for a long time!

This is a great neighborhood studio and the instructors are so helpful! The classes are no more than 10 people so you really get some great personal instruction and feedback. They have a variety of classes at different times and the music is fun! Everyone is very kind and welcoming- this is not a pretentious studio!

I used to love attending classes at Yubalance, but unfortunately the gym has responded to the pandemic In a way that’s alienated myself and other exercisers who need to prioritize avoiding covid. It was disappointing when they stopped offering remote classes as soon as they were permitted to resume offering in person classes. But their latest ad campaign is more than alienating — its downright disrespectful. “Unmask your potential —don’t let fear weigh you down” is a not so subtle dog whistle of covid denial and a frankly nasty jab at those who choose a lower risk lifestyle. The all too common rhetorical move of conflating the problem of “fear” with the problem of *the ongoing pandemic to which caution is a logical response* is a manipulative fallacy. And why shame exercisers for choosing to wear masks during workouts? That’s just childish bullying. What a disappointment.

I don't have to be a customer to dislike this place. The way the owner engages with people on social media is a major red flag. I would not want to support this business based on what I've seen on social media. YuBalance does not represent the neighbors or neighborhod of the Sunset. They are on the wrong side of everything, from Covid policy to climate change. Owner uses the company twitter handle to rant and rave against all sorts of things.

The owner is a reactionary anti-masker who is rude to grocery store employees. I recommend taking your business elsewhere.

This place is THE BEST. Friendly neighborhood fitness studio that makes it fun to work out. Great trainers, relaxed, no-judgements environment but effective sessions that keep me mentally and physically strong, even now. YuBalance has been there for clients this whole time, which is amazing. So grateful to have found this enduring gem.

This place is 100% awesome. Super clean, non-intimidating atmosphere, and extremely knowledgeable staff. They have adapted well for COVID and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for personal training.the place is extremely CLEAN! Rory and Shala are dedicated professionals and have succeeded in providing top notch service. Highly recommended!

I've had the pleasure to go to 4 different class types thus far, and am big fans of all of them. I met Rory at two of the classes, and he's a great guy & trainer. One of the unique things about YuBalance is that they usually make time for stretching / foam rolling in class. This is huge for me as I usually don't end up doing enough maintenance after classes.

Here are my thoughts on the classes I've tried so far:
1) YuSweat - This one is non-stop four-minute intervals of two exercises each. It lives up to its name, giving you a good amount of strength training while making you sweat & leaving time for foam rolling at the end.
2) YuStretch - Never been to a class like this, but loved going through 45 minutes of taking care of my body with the foam roller & lacrosse ball.
3) Body Sculpt - This is one of the better ones for beginners. There are 4 stations, and we do each one four times before switching to a new set of four exercises.
4) YuPower - Similar to YuSweat, this one was pretty fast-paced, and definitely got a great leg & ab workout.

Overall, I'm thrilled that YuBalance opened up so close to me. I can't wait as they extend their class schedule, and add in things like a bootcamp for runners.
