Yuk Dae Jang Irvine reviews
20Wow. This place absolutely touched my heart—my entire being was in tears, moved by the delicious food. 10/10 would recommend. AMAZING.
Great cold noodles and Pork Belly. Friendly service and great kimchi. I am always happy to come here. I am also glad they are open where other places are closed. Please try the cold noodles with some vinegar.so amazing.
Undoubtedly one of the best Korean restaurants in Irvine that I adore. While the prices may have increased, the quality remains top-notch. I've found my go-to dish, and I haven't explored much else on the menu, as this particular choice keeps me coming back for more.
We ordered a kid’s SulLungTang, a (S) premium bossam, beef bulgogi with glass noodles, and the Braised Spicy Premium Beef Rib with Flat Glass Noodle. Everything was delicious! I wish we were told that the Small bossam would be “appetizer style” because we found out after that the medium and large come on the skillet with the tofu. But it was delicious! All the accompaniments were so good, everything paired so well together. Would absolutely eat this again. The bulgogi glass noodles was good but a smidge too sweet. I didn’t understand why this came on a burner because every was cooked and the heat just made it more soggy. The server said to turn off the fire once it boils but it was all cooked already so I didn’t get it. The spicy braised beef ribs was soooooo good. Definitely spicy even when we got the “less spicy” level. The chewy rice cakes and noodles cooked on the burner and it just made everything combine so well and tasty! Love the squash and veggies in it and the flat glass noodles were great. Chewy and delicious. Oh! And they have purple rice!
Service - fantastic! Every single person/server was so extremely helpful and nice from being greeted at the door to our dining experience up to leaving. Explained everything very well. It was our first time here. Made our dining very enjoyable.
Parking - strip mall area, free parking lot! It’s a small restaurant so it can get busy. Plus it a near an HMart. So I can see parking can get busy too.
Best YukGae Jang in Irvine and surrounding local area. Everything else is good as well! Kimchi is always fresh and flavorful. The parents ask to go there often which says alot. Customer Service is always courteous and available!
I think it tastes better than the mainland taste. Yukgaejang or meat-based noodles are delicious, and dumplings and seolleongtang are also good.
Pretty good. We got the Bosam and the Yukejang. Soup was ok and the Bosam was pretty good.
Wonderful taste cold noodle (called "Naeng-Myun" in Korean), must be best in town, and I always bring friends from out of town visiting Irvine, and everybody is happy here. Hopefully, service people are more warm welcoming.
Had family dinner. Very rude servers. You barely feel you get service. Sullung tang was not like Korean sullung tang. More like Green onion soup which has chunk of big green onions as on the picture. Hard to chew even. Meat inside was for yukkejang not for sullung tang. Looks like cool person does not know how to cook Korean food. Bibim naeng myun does not come with hot Yuk su. Manager said we need to order separate for cup of Yuksu.
If you want typical Korean style food, definitely this is not the place. Skip from your list. Seems like manager don’t care about service either. Food and service all worst.
First time here because of a recommendation from a friend. Was not disappointed at all. Service was nice and you have an option to sit outside as well. Very rarely do I see any Korean restaurants offer bossam and was very happy that they not only offer it but it was good. I also ordered the ordinal spicy beef soup with their mixed grain rice which was super yummy. A must try for sure.
Pro tip: Ask for a small bowl to transfer your dumplings out so they don’t get overcooked inside the hot soup
I ordered bo saam. There was a hair in my 겉절이. I didn't complain because that kinda thing happens when you're making fresh food, whatever. We ordered the dumplings. They were ok, but really needed something. As I was leaving, the server gave a different table a dipping sauce, which was exactly what I needed and what we were not offered. Additionally, we were given the short cups for water, not the tall ones. Overall not the best service, but the food was otherwise acceptable, and came out pretty quick. My nang myun curiously had a lot of shredded beef, much more than expected.
5 star Bulgogi with glass noodle + Yukkjan soup. Good vive and we will definitely come back here when we are in Irvine. Only 3 side dishes, but tasty main dishes surely make up for that!
I was very surprised that this is the average Korean school food. It was amazing. Good job!
Went to eat with friends, we ordered large portions of pork belly barbecue and army hotpot. The portion of pork belly barbecue is enough for four people, and it goes well with a sauce similar to fermented bean curd; the army pot contains mushrooms, luncheon meat, sausage slices, instant noodles, etc, and the soup is quite spicy. Overall, it's very good, especially for the pork belly barbecue. I will eat it again
We ordered the Premium Pork Belly Boiled in Various Herbs (Large) and Army Style Hot Pot with Ramyun for four people. I highly recommend trying the pork belly with the special sauce The Army Pot included mushrooms, luncheon meat, sausage slices, instant noodles, and more. The soup was a little bit spicy, but overall our meal was delicious. I would definitely come back for their Pork Belly. "
Pricey for a Budae Jjigae but it was well presented and filling for two people. This place can get crowded and a wait time of 15 mins or more can happen. The mandu was also pretty good. This place is a must try on a cold and rainy day.
Fast service here. The kindness of the employees.
Food taste. Especially the young lady? Of
Kindness makes guests happy
The kimchi was so delicious that I bought 3 cans.
0! I recommend this restaurant for everyone. This item of the food his some fishy smell… the food is very saggy, smelly … with some colors.no taste.no favors. I don’t know why I ordered from them. I still smell a fishy smell from this experience! The food here is not for humans or animals… This is only for Asians …
Ordered dae jang bulgogi beef.spent $45 for this dish ahd two bowls of rice.this dish doesnt come with any salad or ssam vegetables.after we finished dining we went straight to h mart and bought extra food because we were still hangry!
The soup was so good, it's just what I needed on a chilly cold night. The wait staff is very attentive. Awesome
