Zaika Indian Cuisine reviews
16I really liked this place. Had the dal tadka and garlic naan. The dal was incredible. The naan was good, but they add the garlic before cooking so it gets a little overcooked and bitter. Still good, just not how I prefer it.
The traditional curry lamb and butter chicken are yummy. The portion is big and price is reasonable.
My husband and I came in at 10: 00pm looking for some late night dinner take out after a Warriors game. They were so friendly and welcoming. It was quick to get our food and it was so delicious! If you're thinking about eating here, do it!
Home cooked style Indian food, vegetarian options above average chicken/meat dishes not cooked to perfection & need confirmation on 100% halal. Owners & staff friendly folks. However, overall experience was average.
Placed my order online said it would be ready at 12: 47. I get there on time and ask for my order. Staff looks at me and says there are no orders. I show them the order and they tell me no order. I wasted half of my lunch hour waiting for a new order without rice because apparently you cant buy anything without the manager there.
Food was really quick I had to catch train they made it so good food in just 15 mins and it was so quick.
It's quite a lovely feeling to be here. Literally it gives me nostalgia from back home.
Great food and quite hospitable
Waste of $40.
They charge for a credit card fee regardless of payment amount ($1.5). I payed extra to get boneless chicken on my vindaloo and got bone- it also was flavorless? The samosa chaat was SALTY and didn’t come with the typical sauces. The naan and mango lassi were just ok. Will not be coming back.
Highly unsanitary environment. Don’t come here by looking at the rating. I got fooled by high rating. Below par food. Below par service. Extreme disappointment.
The worst attention ever. There were free tables, at the moment were eating two groups of person from India. I told the guy that my order was for dine-in. He ask me and I repeated like 10 times (literally). I was at the table, and he putted in front of me a bag with all my food trying to make me grab it and go?
Expensive for the quantity and the service.
Never, ever, nunca and jamas!
We live a block from Zaika Indian Cuisine and we've gotten takeout dinner from here many times. The food is great! There's not a single dish that we have not enjoyed. Prices are very reasonable with large portions, especially for San Francisco. Our South Beach neighborhood has seen many restaurants close, even before the pandemic. My wife and I sure hope Zaika Indian Cuisine sticks around for many years!
Pros:
Open till late
Super delicious kheer
Well cooked breads
Cons:
Small portion sizes
Not much flavor
Seating area is meh and no presentation
High prices given the above
I've eaten here several times now and I'd like to say I have tried a lot of different stuff, but the truth is I keep getting the bhindi masala and palak curry with paneer. It's great every time and someday I'm sure I'll try something else.
The food was fairly good but not quite great. FYI: Curry does not come with a side of rice like a lot of places I've been to so make sure you order some.
Service was subpar! The waiter/owner was disinterested. The food was okay but not worth the price you pay!
A nice, low key late night comfort food restaurant. The food is freshly prepared and tastes fine. Also it's not super expensive.
