Our family has been part of the Zak Barnett Studios (ZBS) family for approximately three months now, and the experience has been nothing short of amazing, particularly for our daughter. My daughter has been taking classes the craft classes as well as the immersive program and has truly been a remarkable experience. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly nurturing, fostering her growth as an actress. Cooperating with the teachers is not an issue at all, they listen and give you time to express your own thoughts. The teachers were incredibly talented and knowledgeable, showcasing their exceptional skills, it has been a pleasure working with Zak Barnett Studios, they’re just such a wonderful team!

First off I would like to say the community and environment here at ZBS is extremely welcoming, from the teachers to your fellow classmates, everyone has been so kind and supportive, truly a place where you are free to be vulnerable, and share your emotions and experiences at a deep level. I haven’t had personal experiences with every teacher but from the handful I’ve had the pleasure of conversing and working with they are substantial, professional, and they really give solid non biased criticism from a positive perspective. From my experience here no doubt do they pin point your strengths and weakness and inevitably guide you to hit your goals. I highly recommend for many different levels of actors/ artists!

I cannot imagine stepping into the wild world of Hollywood without the buoying community and comprehensive education at Zak Barnett Studios. My skills, confidence, and sense of belonging have grown exponentially since joining ZBS and it is a joy to be constantly learning from such a gifted, supportive, and varied faculty. Try all they have to offer and be challenged in the best ways - the genre-based Core class, deep dives and mock producer sessions in Immersive, hilarious explorations in Whole-Self Improv, honing audition technique in Actor's Process, and elevating technique in Advanced On-Camera. I have been attending Zak’s class online for the past 2 years and it is the best class I have ever taken. When I first started taking his class I knew that this is where I belong. Zak uses techniques that allow you to dive into your inner being and become the character. He makes the class enjoyable and engaging for everyone and has shaped me to become a better actor. I highly recommend ZBS!

After about a year of wanting to submerge myself back into the acting class world, but being hesitant due to how most classes are run in LA, I feel beyond grateful to have found a home at ZBS. I wanted to be in class (es) that taught technique with a deeper exploration of self, text, and application. To say the least, those are exactly what you’ll find at ZBS. As I’m nearing the end of my first set of class, I have nothing but great things to say about how fantastic the faculty has been - especially my teacher, Michael. I feel like not only a better artist, but also a better person.

This studio has brought me a supportive community that has pushed me and helped me to grow! I’m so grateful to say that I study here!

Its been really great working with John. I was nervous at first that an online class wouldn't have the same punch as an in person one, but its been really fun and productive getting to work with students from all over the country and all walks of life. John always challenges us to grow and every class focuses on something a little different. You can tell he really cares about his students and has great rapport with everyone. I'm eager to look into some of the other courses offered by the studio when my schedule permits.

They are such experts at guiding talent through resources and coaching that is best suited for each individual talent’s needs to improve their craft, challenge themselves and grow as artists. The teachers are amazing and very personable! I’ve learned so much and have made so many new friends as well!

What I love about this place is the community! You can tell that everyone here loves the craft and cares deeply about helping each other out. I’ve never once had a bad interaction and everyone is welcoming with open arms. It’s a safe place to really explore the depths of what it means to be human and more importantly on what it means to be you. Which has helped me in my acting journey tremendously and helped in my everyday life as well. Big thanks to my teacher Michael, who brings so much excitement and care into every class. One complaint is that I wish the classes were longer! I’d spend all day there if I could.

In Los Angeles, there are so many acting schools, but there is one Zak Barnett Studio. I have to say, I have not been in a more caring, nurturing, inspiring and educational acting school throughout my time acting. The great thing about ZBS is that they really take time to nurture the artist in you, helping you to use all of the unique aspects of who you are as a person to help you become the best actor, artist and person that you can be. I am grateful to Zak, my teacher J. C. Brandy, and the staff at ZBS for inspiring me and guiding me on this path. Our son, Paxton, has been attending ZBS for a year and we all love the experience. Paxton loves attending classes and is continually challenged to develop more authentic, nuanced characters. They also teach life skills that are helpful beyond acting. We love that they can incorporate whatever challenge he is currently facing, including simulating director/producer callbacks and giving tips on how to do his best in them, how to an create authentic performance when the character does things that are very uncomfortable, etc. We highly recommend ZBS!

I alway enjoy my classes at Zak Barnett's! The teachers are all friendly, supportive, and knowledgable. They are open to any questions which is not always the case at some places. I appreciate the care for each student as an individual because acting is such an involved art form it truly is necessary to develop an understanding of yourself and how to use that insight safely in your craft.

I joined Zak Barnett Studios mid March and have been working in the Advanced Teen On-Camera Class with my amazing teachers/mentors Gabrielle and Ben. ZBS is a welcoming community that allows you to work on your craft as an actor, as well as work on yourself as a person- all in a very safe space. Since joining the ZBS family I have felt very confident and supported in my acting career and I always look forward to my weekly classes!
