Zen Asian Diner, Visalia CA

This place is very bland and just not good. There are better places in town. I do not recommend this place. How we the staff here is very friendly.

1st time here. We have been looking for a GOOD oriental restaurant. Most BLAH! NOT THIS ONE! THIS ONE WAS A REAL SURPRISE. We ordered several dishes and each was as good as the last. FINALLY, areal fantastic place. Prices are on part for the times. Generous portions. Fresh, fresh, fresh everything. No canned veggies. All fresh! Sauces perfect. Will definitely be going again.

A nice size dining room with booths and tables. The place sort of lacks in decor & and aesthetic was kind of lacking, but food was yummy. It was a better deal to order the meal for two with lots of options. The wonton soup was so delicious! Our favorite. The pot stickers were good, but the chili oil sauce made it better! Fried rice was tasty, but no veggies included. Lemon chicken was not exactly what we envisioned and most likely won't order again. Everyone who served us was friendly.

We went to 3 other Asian dinners that were either closed or no longer taking orders. We gave this place a shot expecting more of the same disappointment. But boy was I mistaken. This place not only served us but the food was outstanding. Had the pas thai and a soup. They were both jam pack with deliciousness. Great food great service and even with time not in our favor they still served us. A must place to dine.

Great customer service! Delicious Peking Spareribs. I thought I sent my hubby with enough money, oops! They waived the dollar difference!

They don't close at the proper time they say they are closed. Wouldn't seat me at 8: 25pm when they apparently close at 9pm.

Blandest Chinese food I've ever eaten. The steamed rice was the most flavorful dish on the menu.

This has been our go-to restaurant for Chinese food in Visalia for years. Great people and great food. Highly recommend!

Apparently they close at 8 for dine in but you can go in to order to go. Just don’t expect to be seated.

The service was VERY nice. I felt welcomed. The food portion was big and everything tasted good. I would go back to Asian Zen when I’m back in Visalia.

Absolutely delightful. It serves great American Chinese food that is full of flavour. We ordered Oyster Sauce Beef, Chow Mein, Pot Stickers, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Kung Pao chicken from their value Dinner Special. The food is well made and authentic as American Chinese food comes. The service is friendly and the food came out very fast. Would recommend to anyone.

Zen Chow Mein was bland and the king pao chicken was salty. The pork snow peas veggies were good, but the pork was thick and not very good

I really enjoyed the Chicken Noodle Soup, it was delicious! The Thai Tea was also great! Service was really good.
