Ziggy's, San Luis Obispo CA

Tasty vegan fast food place, but overpriced and short in quantity. Not rating less than 3* because I want to support vegan restaurants. A hamburger each and a shared side left us both hungry, which is not great for a $23 per person counter service meal. Perhaps some fries included with the burgers to make it more filling would have been nice.

We recently visited this place. NOTE - Its a take out only place.something we didn’t realize until we got there. Luckily they had a couple of small tables and as a party of two we managed to grab a spot to enjoy our meal onsite. The food came in takeaway boxes which added to the casual on the go vibe of the place.

Our order included Phoenix burger, Baja and avocado tacos and Dirty fries. Each dish brought its own unique flair to the table but burger really stood out for me. It was bursting with amazing flavors and had just the right amount of spice.no need for extra hot sauces which is unusual for me.

My wife was a big fan of both tacos. They were packed with flavor and although I added some habanero sauce for an extra kick, they were delicious on their own. Note - their habanero sauce was a fiery treat!

Riding on the high of our initial choices we decided to try the Korean cauliflower for the road swayed by the Yelp reviews which said how great they are. Unfortunately they didn’t quite match our taste buds.a bit too sweet for our liking. We tried them with ranch and habanero sauce but we wouldn’t go for them again.definitely planning a return trip for that fantastic burger the next time we’re in SLO.

I was so, so happy with my carnitas fries as well as the KCB (korean cauliflower bites), and the service was great!

Probably the best sandwich Ive ever had. I have the crunchy sandwich, amazing!
Also ordered the avocado egg rolls

This little small hole in the wall is a Prime destination for any vegan. Specializing in burgers, fries, tacos and more. It’s more of a takeout spot that only really has seating for 8-10. We luckily squeezed in 6 of us as there was nobody else there at the moment. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions. They have T shirts and hats for sale with the piggy logo. We ordered the fried avo tacos and the Crunchwrap supreme (a vegan version of the Taco Bell classic). Both were awesome with lots of flavor. I especially liked the chipotle sauce on the tacos. Others in our group got the cauliflower bowl, the loaded fries, and the apple pie. All seemed to enjoy what they got. My wife was interested in the milkshakes and soft serve but will save that for our next visit.

Really one of my favorite places to eat when I go to the coast! They guy was super nice and gave my man and I a free pumpkin dessert that was absolutely amazing while we waited for our food for no reason just a friendly gesture we always buy food passing through SLO! I recommend to try most definitely

Best vegan food around. EVERYTHING is delicious and the staff are so friendly, especially Alex and Kai!

This place is a bit small but worth a visit.

I love plant based places and I will always come here, but. Is this a $9 salad?

I can't fault Ziggy for the atmosphere but it's sad we don't have many spots where the outdoor seating is not a parking lot.

Everything vegan, and everything was incredibly good. The Ziggy patties are great and we still dream about the chocolate and oreo milkshakes. You have to stop here when going through SLO!

I thought this joint was perfect when I first tried it but they keep getting better over time. They keep the staples and have added a Crunchwrap, a rice bowl, milkshakes, chicken sandwich, burritos, breakfast sandwiches etc.but yet they keep them simple! My wife gets ice cream here at least 3 times a week! Some people make comments about the irony that its vegan but not super health focused. The real irony is that you're at a burger joint complaining about health options! We come to ziggys to get our foodie on! Burger, fries, Crunchwrap, and dessert!

My lettuce wrap mushroom burger was fantastic! Yummy, juicy and super messy. Service is fast and friendly. Limited seating so consider take-out. Prices are fair, and a cash discount. I will be back!

While up in SLO I had to try Ziggy's again. My partner and I got a few different items to share.
Their Cauli Bowl was delicious and we loved the carnitas fries. I got the crunch wrap and that was much nicer than anything the sonorous fast food place ever served.
The service was really quick and the workers were very nice. They made sure to ask about utensils and napkins.

Great food. Friendly people. Wish they had gluten free bun option as the lettuce wrap was more like a lettuce bowl.

We ate here while in the area. My wife got the mushroom burger and I got the phoenix burger (both with ziggy patties). We shared, and they were both amazing. I only wish the tots we ordered were salted better. Overall, I would highly recommend ziggy’s!

Great person at register made great recommendations. I’ll be back. It was some of the best food ever! Ordered the special burrito.

As a vegan, I wish this place was better. Food ordered was just mediocre. Nothing special about it. The milkshakes were a total rip off at $10 each and were disgusting. Tasted like pure chemicals. They were so bad, only was able to have a few sips. Left them on the counter and by morning the next day, the liquid had separated and the bottom fifth of the cups were filled with a yellowish substance. Gross. Glad they weren't finished.

Stopped here on a road trip down the coast from Oregon. Lots of amazing vegan options, the chocolate milkshake is a must, breakfast burrito, avocado rolls, and loaded fries were all fantastic! We’ll definitely be back!

Shoutout to this restaurant. I was out here for a week and came to Ziggy’s 3 times. My favorite items I tried were:

- Soft serve (this is a must, it tastes like a wendys frosty)
- Apple square
- 58 Burger (if you like BBQ, added jalapeños for spice)
- Crunchrwrap
- Phoenix burger
- Carnitas Fries
- Ratchet Fries

Give Mason a raise. This dude is a hard and/or efficient worker. He was there at all 3 of my visits and he was ahead of the game and proactive. Great customer service, cleaning things up immediately. He remind me of a good surgical tech (the job I currently do).
