Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center Emergency Room

After receiving funding from Zuckerberg to allegedly clean up the city’s worst hospital, I wanted to give SF general a shot when I needed ER treatment. Let me just say: don’t make the same mistake I did. I would write a novel about everything that’s wrong over there, but suffice it to say it was a legitimately traumatizing experience from every possible angle and the facility resembled something out of a third world war zone - absolutely filthy and falling apart, gnarly bathrooms with no toilet paper or soap, the ER was over-filled with lines of beds in the hallways nearly out the front door. The place is an absolute horror show, avoid at all costs.

Very Rude crew. I was feeling very sick, paid Uber to take me there, they made me wait for over 2 hours in these very uncomfortable metal chairs with no arm support. I decided to leave this awful place!
It was such a bad experience!
I wasted all this time when I was feeling Very sick and vulnerable.
Shame on them!
I'm only referring to the Emergency Room.

ER doctor Yeh. MD gave my son acetaminophen when he told us he was concerned about liver failure as my son was turning more yellow by the minute! Insisted the CT was better then MRI for organ imaging when both John hopkins and the mayo clinic clearly document MRI for soft tissue is superior. Refused to transfer my son to UC davis as repeatedly requested. Since they didnt have the technoligy for scepsis testing my sons stomach was swelling to the size of a 9 mo pregnant women. We have insurance that pays for the transfer. Yet they repeatedly refused

A good population receives care here. Security is half of the time rude and don’t want to deal with patients. Quite sad as many of them don’t have a choice but to come here. Ivy parents have never been treated with care and kindness here in their 15 years of care in general hospital. Going to the ER? Good luck on getting someone who actually cares to help after waiting 4+ hours. After that long they’re just wondering why you’re still there. If you can afford anywhere else, do your research with insurance and all that and go there instead. Save yourself time and pain.

March 18, thu 5: 30 pm. The worst of the worst. We had an emergency and came here to see my wife's kid that was in ER in critical condition. The nurses at the receiving area had an extreme criminal attitude. Did not let my wife come in a see her son. We are outside on the streets trying to call the Hospital. It's insane. These incompetent nurses should be fired immediately. No way to treat someone in crisis like that. Shame om them.

One of the worst hospital i ever had. I have gone for emergency department, i have waited for more than an hour but nobody comes to see me. Such a irresponsible staff. What will happen if there is a serious condition?

The worst experience I've ever had in my life. We waited in the emergency room at 3 pm and haven't even checked after midnight. Such a horrible service. It blows my mind how is an emergency can take forever to help people who need urgent care.

Worst experience ever. It too a nurse 3 tries until he could puncture my vein for a blood test. After 3 hours of waiting I finally was able to see a doctor. It was rude lady. I explained my symptoms and the reason of coming. After saying that recently I lost my weight she said that I do probably have a cancer (with no grounds for that). I left a premise at the same minute.
P. S. Next day I went to another emergency room, where I was properly treated. All blood results was normal, no infections. It was just a stomach disorder. And yes, no cancer.

I waited for over 2 and a half hours in a dirty waiting room infested with ants and I still was not seen by a doctor. After almost 3 hours, I was finally seen for about 3 minutes until they told me that they couldn't help me.
