17I needed a wheel alignment, I was scheduled promptly, great friendly service and with a detailed report on how my car was doing. Thanks pep boys!
Left my car there Thursday night after hours. Received a text from them that it would be ready at 5pm on Monday (today.) Called to check if we were still on schedule and they told me they decided on Saturday not to do the work. No call or text. I told them I was annoyed that they just left me hanging for 3 days and that I was going to pick up the car. When I got there, the logo was ripped off the car and sitting on the ground next to it. Someone there has a passive aggressive streak.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience with them. It’s the last, and the first time I’ve felt the need to say anything while waiting for a tow truck to take me to another shop.
Addition: Interesting "response from the owner" below. There were already opportunities to make it right. Your shop did not take them. That is a shame. It would have been easy. You know who I am, and you could actually call me directly using the phone number you have on file. But you didn't. Why not? Because it's not about actually handling it with me. It's about looking like you are trying on social media. It's about damage control with people who have not yet had bad experiences with you.
Very friendly staff, extremely thorough of explaining what free services were included, took me in 15 minutes before my appointment time, and answered all questions I had, charged me nothing for matinence, tire rotation, and wheel alignment check. Thank you Barry and Jed!
This shop is honest and only performs necessary work. I went in for a service that they identified was unnecessary and did full diagnostics free of charge. You can trust the Arvada location!
I wish there was no star at all to rate the service they have done at this pep boys. My big question is i wanted my car to be smooth and running and i told them to bring the car back like it was and they said they will do anything to make it safe on road before i start the service.
After they did the service and right after i start driving on road there is nothing changed at all. Now i ask them that it is same as before and they say that we did the half work and the half you have to take it to dealership to get it done.
I wouldn’t bring the car and let you start the work if i had known that at the end i have to take it to the dealership. I would rather take it to dealership from the beginning.
YOU have to TELL customers at the beginning that IF YOU can’t do all the work. And now i paid the money they say we have done our work and changed the parts but you have to take it to dealership for next step.
Why didn’t you tell me at the beginning that i had to take it to dealership?
The front of the staff is Scammers and telling wrong info to customers. They are not saying you what mechanic are saying they just want you to spend money.
Be careful with this location.
I was able to stop by as a walk-in customer and get an oil change. The service was done within the hour. It didn't seem like I was there long. I am rating a five for great customer service. Although I didn't have to wait long, the lounge area was a little awkward. There are four chairs and one table. They do have coffee, tea and hot chocolate available while you wait. In case your service should be more than an hour or so, there is a Target across the parking lot.
The shop was busy, but the work was done quickly. Everyone was working together like a well oiled machine.
From the time I made my appointment, until I picked up my vehicle. I was extremely pleased with the service & expertise of the customer service I received. My vehicle is driving smoothly now! Thank you all, at Pep Boys!
My fiance went into this place needing a tire rotation and an oil change. They did they oil change, but they did not do the tire rotation. We knew this was the case because the front left tire is missing the plastic wheel hub cover, and it was in the same location. Front left.
I call in and inform them of this, and take the car back to Pep boys the next day. They waited till the last minute to do the tire rotation, and the still did not do it! Front left tire was still in the same place. The Haynes manual for the vehical has a diagram for how a tire rotation is supposed to be done. The front tires go to the back and back tires go to the front, in a crossing pattern. I wanted to enjoy my weekend. I trusted these people to do a simple task, but the mechanic refused to do it, is too busy to be bothered by it, or is incompitant. There is zero accountability at this location, so I had to do it myself. I wouldn't trust these people to change my washer fluid after this expierence.
Love the team at this Arvada, CO Pep Boys. Great team, great service, and a fun atmosphere. It's hard to trust car service shops, but I have total confidence in this one! I don't even like the other 2 Pep Boys I've been to in the past- one was when I was visiting my sister in the Baker neighborhood- had some car issues and went to a PepBoys in her area- the guy was completely RUDE. I left and made the drive out to the Arvada PepBoys and they took great care of me. My trust was solidified at that time. Thank you, as always!
Placed an appt.online, arrived and my tires were ready and mounted and ready to go within the time stated. Sevice was very good. I will be back
Great staff, took an hour and a half to get my tires changed, tpms replaced, and tires mounted and balanced. I've used Big O, Les Schwab, and Costco and Pep Boys are the cheapest and fastest I've used so far!
I was a walk in. Great service and they were wonderful in explaining the problem and what needed to be done.
Refused to honor an appointment I made online, was incredibly rude about it. I'd avoid at all costs
Barry, Ali and the team took care of me. I was in town on vacation and needed a headlight replaced. Got me right in and fixed up in no time. The best service I’ve had for car repair in a long time.
Really appreciate the staff at this location going out of their way to help me locate some lost service records on my vehicle. Saved me about $200.
It's refreshing when you come across staff who actually care about the customer experience.

Had an appointment for this location and they didn't even look at my car within an hour of the time. Went in to get my keys and the whole staff was in the back talking. Second poor experience here this year. Location uses to be great, I would look somewhere else now.
