The Red Cross- They are first on the scene with national and natural disasters and crisis! They don't ask your salary, they don't judge.they show up with emergency supplies to help those in crisis and need! As a social worker, I have had clients access these services in times of need. The services are meant to be short term, and sometimes I feel people get frustrated with this organization due to that. I appreciate all they do regarding helping bring awareness to what is needed in our communities.

They solicit donations and get millions yet when anyone calls for help all they literally do is provide names and numbers of other organizations that may actually help you. Why fundraise on the premise of providing assistance when you are nothing but a search engine? It's really distasteful like saying the poor or disabled can't use Google well enough to find the same exact organizations? Yet your using the hundreds of millions fundraised to line your pockets well enough to even consider telling them the first results on Google when you search help near me instead of letting the organizations actually helping have it.

More people should make an appointment to donate on a regular basis.
They have an excellent staff at this location.

I am writing to let review readers know about the despicable treatment I have received by very highly paid employees at the national headquarters of the American Red Cross. There are many Americans like me who have served our country with honor and dignity. In my case, I served in some very, very dangerous parts of the world to keep Americans safe. This includes highly paid Red Cross headquarters employees. In keeping with my continuous service to my country, I am a blood donor. A bonus for donating is receiving gift cards that I give to my local food pantry. As of this writing, I have been cheated out of two $10 gift cards by these highly paid employees. To resolve this cheating, I have written FIVE emails to headquarters employees McElveen-Hunter, McGovern, Hawkins, Darcy, McGillan, and Lee. All FIVE have been ignored by these highly paid employees. Keep in mind that this group of ELITISTS are NOT Red Cross volunteers who do the real work. These are employees who sit in posh office suites and think that ignoring messages from the “little people” is their given right. Anyone like me who has served his country would likely agree that these elitist employees have zero respect for us. What else would we think? Shame on them is what I say.

Went through the extensive volunteer application process of setting up an account, doing background checks, submitting resume and application for a HQ remote position here in MA. After a couple months no response. Then got an email saying they have enough applications and won't be sending mine to the appropriate division. I am highly qualified for the particular role and they never offered to consider me for another. My local app went completely ignored for weeks. I won't bother with this agency again they are a complete waste of time and dismissive of well qualified people who reach out to serve. Just another bloated bureaucracy.

Gorgeous, but it's difficult to get in to see the Tiffany windows. A lot of interesting history about a fascinating organization.

Have been over five times to donate- WITH appointments. Been turned away- when national shortages going on. Brought my fiancé with appointments for his first time donating blood- and turned away! A complete joke for Red Cross and an embarrassment for a national location.

I applied for a job based on my extensive experience for the position of senior disaster recovery manager Philadelphia. I went through five interviews, and it was narrowed down to four persons. My last interview was with the CEO and another American Red Cross Philadelphia executive. They said they would make a decision the following week and let me know. Well, it went six weeks before I finally reached out to them with an email asking about the job. I sent an email as a follow up. Again I heard nothing back. Crickets. I do understand why the volunteers numbers are low. It’s lack of feed back and making people feel valued. The organization was great at one time but they can’t even get back to you regarding a job. The CEO Guy Triano should know better. Makes people wonder how he got his job. But he’s quick to be on television or spending all his time in Bucks County coaching his kids little league touting how amazing it is instead of being where he should be. Where the people are that need help. It’s sad. It was always an amazing organization. I have moved on to better and brighter horizons and I feel sorry for anybody that has done the same and has yet to hear back. Shame on them. It’s a simple e mail. So sad.
