Andre Chreky, the salon spa, Washington DC

My bridal party got our hair and makeup done at the salon. Serena was so helpful and accommodating. She was able to coordinate our large group efficiently and make sure everyone was finished on time. Everyone's service was excellent. My bridal hair and makeup were outstanding. The rooms that they have upstairs for groups are very nice and convenient. They truly care about customer service!

I will definitely will be returning to Andre Chreky. They did my hair and make-up for a black-tie wedding for which I was a guest. They were so kind, professional, and quick! I actually missed my early morning appointment (GUHH!), but after reaching out they said that I could still get my makeup done there if I came right away. I did and let me tell you I came out feeling like a model! THEN they actually told me the could squeeze me in to get my hair done too! It was a wonderful experience and I cannot thank them enough for their kindness, help, and speed!

I went to the salon once, and they did an ok job. A little pricey for the quality of work. I wish I had known before hand that the owner Andre Chreky had settled an assault case. I feel sick to my stomach knowing I paid money to support someone like that.

I have been going to Andre Chreky since since 2006, they are the best! The entire staff is customer focused and professional. I’ve referred friends who have also become loyal patrons as well.

Maria did an amazing transformation (cut, highlights, lowlights) on my damaged hair! I highly recommend her. The salon was great.

MARIA WAS AMAZING! Was on vacation and Decided I needed a quick makeover! Maria was able to directly quote me and give me everything I wanted. She gave me the best balayage with rose gold tints! Her cut was always top tier! Will recommend her to everyone and anyone!

Unprofessional, lie about prices. Called and was quoted $110 over the phone and then as the card was being swiped they said the price was $230. Don’t trust a word they say over the phone. The results in the hair were yellow and I requested platinum blonde. Don’t pay for this overpriced shoddy work.

This is the worst salon I've ever been to. Not only will they lie and tell you a service worth ~$100 is $230, they'll mess it up. I have never been to a salon so unprofessional and rude. I went in to get my roots done. It was about an inch of regrowth, and it's a process I've been getting done for a few years. It was not a lot of hair, but they charged me $170 for the bleaching, and another $60 for toning. I didn't dye my hair. It's platinum blonde, but they charged me for toner. Toner. An important part of the bleaching process. I've gone to various salons, and every single one, toning has been a part of bleaching. Obviously, Andre Chreky is too good for that. I called and said they made a mistake in pricing, they had the nerve to tell me I was in the wrong. They had the nerve to say I should've known, because their prices haven't changed in 25 years. If their prices haven't changed, then why did they tell me the wrong price when I called to ask. They have had the gall to reply and say I should’ve looked on their website. I called. If they told me over the phone, then why would I bother to look at their website?
If you bother to glance at their reply, you can see that everything they mentioned to try and save face, I’ve already said here.
Do not go to this salon. Not only do they not care about the services they provide, but they will outright lie to you. I walked in wanting my hair to be platinum. I walked out with it the color of pee, and although they did offer to fix it, the amount of damage they did for it to be the color it is now and what they would have to do to get what I wanted would irreparably damage my hair. The last time someone did this bad of a job on my hair was a high schooler when I first starting getting my hair done. Don't go here. They don't care about their customers, just about how much they can charge them.

Aaaah, hair done professionally. You know the feeling. Got my hair cut by Andre, he’s mindful of jaw line and cheek bones and skin tone.everything that goes into a good cut and color. I got highlights and lowlights (I’m so done with “let’s just go witch-grey” fad) and it looks perfect. It’s not frumpy and it’s not like you’re selling vacuum cleaners in Germany circa 1980, which is what many salons downtown offer for the power brokers of the world (sorry, think Hillary and power suits). Andre kept up with current styles and he understands hair texture. I love it. One last thought, just remember Andre is the steward of a big shop full of talented women who had to make do through Covid, if you can get your hair done here (prices are on par with any other salon in that class and location), be as generous as you can afford.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else for my highlights and color. Andre and his team are the best in town!

I love Andre Chreky The Salon Spa. My husband and I have been going there for over 15 years and the team there always treat us with love and make us feel like family. André is an excellent stylist - I’ve received compliments for my cut all over the world - and Brigitte is one of the best makeup artists I’ve been to if not the best. Carla, Nancy and Linda are amazing colorists and they always do a great job with my hair - also get tons of compliments on my color. Rina does a great blow dry. Serena and Winnie are excellent with customer service and the team that takes care of hair treatments is also great. They have a real passion for their work and they care about their clients. During this pandemic I’ve missed them and my hair has DEFINITELY missed them.

It was a good experience, I would say be aware on some of the upselling. Lovely pedicure and manicure though.
