I love going here with friends and family! The food is great and the service is very kind and attentive! Great tapas and drinks as well

Pretty authentic food with a wide selection to please all tastes. Extensive good-value wine list. I would perhaps suggest that the team keep the cooling up inside (it was too hot, maybe keep doors shut, air curtain?) and the music down a bit. Still very enjoyable overall!

Nice dinner tonight! A few tapas & grilled meats. Parrillada. Not a big fan of their Spanish chorizo on their parrillada. But, everything else is great. Definitely give it a try. It’s really good.

The first thing I noticed was the music. A perfect vibe-maker. Lizzo, Lady Gaga, Ava Max. Ya know, the icons. The next thing I noticed was just how busy the place was. And I mean it was crazy. Had to wait over an hour for our table but it was worth it (especially since they treated us with snacks as we waited). The plates that I got were delicious and perfectly balanced and great washed down with the leaf gin and tonic. You can have a new eating experience each time with their extensive menu (which there is definitely more that I want to try. I have my eyes on the grilled pork belly). One downside (if you can call it that) is the service is very European in the sense that they take their time. 4 tapas dishes over a period of an hour and then took another 30 minutes for the cheesecake finale. It was well worth spacing it out so we could enjoy each dish individually.

I would definitely come here again, just with a reservation!

My experience during our visit was fantastic. The food was delicious and the service and staff were excellent. If you’re unfamiliar with tapas it’s the ideal place to go if you’re literally feeling like eating anything. Had some delicious cheese from the charcuterie. The spicy beef empanadas were delicious, especially with the patatas bravas. Drinks are mixed well, and are great.

We had an absolutely amazing experience. It was my daughter’s birthday and the original restaurant we went to that took our reservation was closed. Hoping for a prayer here and it worked. The staff was incredible. Jackie gave Ny daughter a cake. So special! The manager Katie was so sweet, we will be back!

Great food (get the croquetas!), great service, great cocktails, great wines, great ambiance inside and large, welcoming outdoor space. It's the perfect space for small and large gatherings.

We have been a long time customer of Barcelona Cathedral Heights and still love the food for the most part. However, the beveridge prices have really soured our experience. I ordered a cocktail while I was waiting for our table and I got a 5 oz highball with a 3 oz square ice cube and I swear only a half an oz of bourbon. $13 for that cocktail… plus a tip. Then to sit down to the menu and see they have dialed the wine servings from 6 and 9 oz to 3 and 6, respectively for the same price as before. Really… 3 oz of wine? Measure that and see how long that lasts with or without food. It almost impossible to enjoy a quality meal that they offer without wine… and then to face the shinkflation to that degree is just off-putting. There is a difference between paying a higher price for the same amount as previously and cutting back for the same price… the customer looses because they have to but more to get the same amount as they would have or spend even more to get the amount as previously. It looks like they have succumbed to taking the DC expense account reputation on their pricing to volume to quality ratios.

In response to the restaurant's comments, it is noted there was not retort to the very paltry but costly cocktail.

Empirically, the 3oz and 6oz being the standard can be refuted over time. I will be posting pictures of wine prices and serving oz.from other restaurants in the DC area when we dine out in the future.

My friend and I eat at this location or order take out at least once a week. For an establishment we constantly spend money at, you’d expect to be treated better. On my most recent (and probably last) visit, we made a reservation for dinner only to get there and be offered a seat at the bar. After insisting we made a reservation for a table, they proceeded to create a small cubicle of a table, and sandwiched us between where the waiters/waitresses work/keep their equipment and a large group whose table we were 1 inch shy of being part of. So imagine trying to enjoy your dinner and a waiter is reaching over you over and over again to take group pictures of the group beside us, or the constant pushing of our bags and chairs to get around to the other table.when we asked to be moved to a different table setting for two, the manager or whatever Adam answered us in a very rude tone stating that wouldn’t be possible because they are reserved, which makes me wonder if specific tables are reserved for specific customer…maybe those with less melanin. Granted, it was graduation weekend but you don’t accept over 500 reservations for such a tiny space then squeeze your customers close to the bathroom/service area!

I used to frequent and enjoy Barcelona years ago but after this weekend I won't likely be back. For outdoor seating, they place the dishes and glasses face down on grungy tables, very unhygienic. Regardless of that, they attempted to serve me water in a visibly used dirty glass. The restaurant was not overbooked and the wait for my food was so long that lost my appetite. For those high prices, I was expecting more than a divey experience.

The food was very good and our waitress was great but their reservation process leaves a lot to be desired. We had a reservation for 6: 45 and weren’t seated for almost 25 minutes. Other parties came in and were seated immediately while we stood there. The hostess was very dismissive when we asked about when we would be seated as well.
