Barmy Wines & Liquors - Beer, Wine, Spirits, Washington DC

Wanted to like this place more but unfortunately the customer experience is lacking. Prices are highly marked up, 20-30%, especially for the basic liquors they know people want. "Due to covid" they no longer allow browsing even on July 2021 and don't know the prices of bottles when you start asking for specifics. Also don't try to ask for a "discount" [to get closer to normal prices] as you'll be mocked out of the store. If you have another option, I would take that instead.

As a side note, they pay for advertising and we've had issues leaving reviews so take what you see online with a huge grain of salt.

Went here on a Friday night and they bring you the alcohol while you wait at cash counter. Good service and the cashier know about their alcohol and stocks

They have the best prices on wine, they beat the grocery’s stores. They have a wide variety and organized very well

Barmy Liquors was a wonderful experience. Helped immediately through the door. The clerks were very knowledgeable and even helped get a few bottles special ordered in no time at all.

Nice people... They held the last 2 bottles of what we wanted until we got to them it was a 3 hour drive

Played the Lottery there.
My Dad wanted to come there he has Dementia, and he remembered he played his Lottery there.
He was looking for one worker he must have been out delivering orders.

The workers always willing to assist you.

I came in for a hard to find tequila that was sold out in 8 other stores (including Total Wine and More). I called ahead and received really pleasant service by phone and when I arrived at the store, the on-site friendliness and accommodating service was more than I could ask for.

Most liquor stores don’t exactly strive to be leaders in customer service so you definitely notice the difference between stepping foot in one that could care less that you’re there and one that has an interest in you leaving as a happy customer. I’ll definitely be back.

Easy to order online.and there's even an app.super easy. Also, picking up is fairly easy. I followed GPS and just tried on that.it was hard to see any signs until you're very close. Amazing selection, curbside service available which I did, and helpful staff.awesome place!

Barmy’s is one of the best stores to treasure hunt for whiskies in. The staff is friendly and really knowledgeable. I look forward to my next visit!

Prices WAY too high. The guy tried to sell me a bottle of Remy Martin Tercet for $200.00.

After looking around at other stores I found it for $99.99. I was about to buy it but my inner voice was telling me to look around first and I'm glad I did.

Can't believe that this guy would try to sell me a bottle for double what it's really worth, SMH.
I won't be buying anything from them again.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had inside of a wine store. All of the resources on the internet stated specifically that the store was welcoming walk-in customers. Not only was I handled rudely by the management staff while there, butwbut I tried to call shortly after to place an order I was also spoken to rudely. The person I spoke with was raising their voice, speaking aggressively and cut me off on multiple occasions. This was anean awful and I do not plan to frequent this business again. For any woman hoping to purchase wine or any other beverage I would not recommend this establishment. It will not be a safe experience.

No prices on anything in the store so it’s a little difficult to shop here but they seem to have a good selection

In this joint you can find rare liquors. Japanese wisky, Columbian rums and a large variety of French champagnes. The only think you need to bring is the wallet.

The Owner's Responsiveness in a sea of "IDC" was enough to earn my patronage. Extremely convenient hours by the way. Go out of your way to visit. Large selection, great prices
