Blackfinn DC reviews
14Walking distance from our hotel. The food was very good everything came out hot. Our server was amazing very attentive and also gave really good recommendations. When we come back to DC we will be visiting again.
Went here for lunch. The food was amazing. The waitress was brand new but she did great. Super close to the White House. We will for sure be back.
Honestly this was not our first option but we kind of rebounded into this place after our first choice was packed. Lucky us! Jessa was hustling in what seemed like an understaffed establishment (which is the norm now). We left super happy, very full and with nothing but great things to say about this place and the service. We will be back. Jessa was the star of the show and the food was excellent.
We ate here around lunch, it wasn’t super busy but it took a long time for the food to come out. We enjoyed a mixed drink and a beer for about 15 mins, prior to the appetizer making its way to the table. The shrimp & crab dip was hot, creamy and delicious. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger on lettuce, added pickle. It was good. The bacon was a bit soggy, but some people love it like that. We also ordered the “heater” burger which, was enjoyable. The burger was well seasoned, had a soft bun, and came with jalapeños/pepper jack cheese which is a delicious combination. The fries were delicious. They were crispy, hot and salty. Like, the kinda fries you can’t wait to have more off. Their sides are a bit pricey $5.50 a piece. Overall the waiter was good, had a trainee, who kept saying “ I’m gonna go act like I’m learning something” - yikes.
The food is pretty great here and the service is always A1. They have reasonable prices and will to work with ever one.
I could barely breathe in this bar. I don't believe they have central air. The food was decent except for the grilled wings.
Good food. Good service. Black pepper gravy was more like hollandaise sauce though. That's the only negative.
Came here because it was literally the only restaurant open on a Saturday night at 8pm for a normal price range. Pleasantly surprised by good food and vibe! We had the balboa dip sandwich, queso, and lemon chicken.
The crab dip is the best I've had in a long time sometimes I just get the crab dip Togo if I can't stay
Ive eaten here 4 times and I think Im done. Food is overpriced for the quantity/quality. Mixed Greens house salad was $12.99 with actually 95% iceberg lettuce verses mixed greens. Fish and chips was $18.99 and was 90% breading on the fish, with a tiny "2 bites" of cold slaw. Ive also had the crab cakes which were just okay. I would say the best of 4 meals would be the chicken alfredo. It was 18.99, with a few chicken pieces, but, at least I wasnt still hungry.
The haddock fish and chips was excellent the service was fine nice indoor and outdoor seating a good selection of beers
One of the absolute best happy hours in D. C. I’ve came here a few times when on travel over the years and every time I’ve had great beer, delicious appetizers and world class service at the Bar. Until next time Blackfinn…
I hate giving 5 stars, there's almost always room for improvement, but this place was great. The staff was pleasant, food was delicious and came out quick. All I can ask for. Definitely recommend, oh and get the fries!
Came here for dinner and drinks Tuesday night—not a lot of people there so plenty of available tables and high tops near the bar to watch sport games/the Olympics!
Food wise—the Shrimp & Crab Dip and the BLT Chicken Tacos were good! Drink wise—my cocktails were relatively weak, more soda than liquor, small and with lots of ice. Service was okay. But prices are pretty reasonable here!
