Busboys and Poets reviews
15Comically bad. We came in around 8pm on a Friday. It took 15 minutes and two check-ins with the host before we saw a server. They were out of the first two items my partner attempted to order for dinner. The veggie burger was bland. My partner ended up getting the salmon, and the sauce was so salty that she couldn’t eat it.
The food was great, our server was super friendly, and there wasn't much of a wait. Plus the menu had a good variety plus vegan options. No complaints.
Best lunch on a cold day. Got the Cubano and cup of soup, it was fantastic. Service was friendly and great, too.
I had a great time at this album release party for my friends brother. Food was enjoyable as well.
I love their cobb salad! The waitress was nice and allowed us to stay and visit so that my friend and I could catch up.
If ordering through a dining app, this location will forget to include SEVERAL items in your order. So ridiculous.
The messed up my blackened Salmon twice! The first time it was not done and then the second time is was overcooked. I did not complain the second time. I was the only one that had not eaten and decided to shut up and eat my food. I someone with me.
I’m usually a big fan and frequent flyer of bus boys at every location. Today was the first time at the Brookland location and boy was it disappointing. At first, the lamb burger came out tasting like the Dead Sea, full of salt, but then the fries that came with it were bland af. Then the salmon came out salty and the wild rice hard to chew. The kids burger? - spicy with red flakes all over, my kid couldn’t swallow it. The only reason I gave it a 3 star today is out of loyalty to busboys. But wow, Brookland standards are awful.
I ordered the Cuban sandwich with regular fries. The sandwich was great. The fries however were just terrible, definitely pass on the fries! But the three stars is for the less than great service. My girlfriend and I had to ask for the bill after waiting 10 minutes, then had to wait another 10 to get it. While we were waiting another guest was seated at a table next to us that wasn't bussed. After he wasn't greeted by a server he got up and left with us. We also ordered coffee which came in little cups that were never refilled, which didn't seem in line with the co$t. My girlfriend ordered some panini, and I'm a bad boyfriend so I don't remember which, but she enjoyed her meal.
Girlfriends and I visited from Florida and had an Awesome time. Everything on the menu is delicious. Must try the Crab grits. Our wonderful server was Trinity.
My church, Kingdom Fellowship Church, worshipped at this location and had brunch today. The waitstaff was superb and thanks to Marquita (sp) for being an amazing general manager for our event. The entire service was amazing and so was the food.
They no longer sell crabcakes, although was still listed on the menu. In the past their crabcakes were really good.
Excellent. But my black beans container wasn't full. I paid 6bucks and didn't get all money worth. Black beans was good tho.
Nina was absolutely a GREAT waitstaff! The food was delicious & it came out quickly and hot. If you have not tried the Matcha Latte with Almond Milk its a must.
Review of the event we held there last weekend.
We rented the back room for a reunion event, and had a wonderful time! They made changes when we requested them, and helped ensure everything was prepared in advance. Our guests loved the food, and the private waiter working for us. They even made a specialty cocktail for us (and sent us home with all the leftovers afterward!).
It was a little over $2400 for all inclusive for 2 hours (and they let us hang out a little past 10p as well). Not bad for a party of up to 60 people.
