Byblos Deli reviews
16This place is the best! If you want a REAL GYRO this will satisfy your taste buds. I received a special order from here. GYRO meat with grilled onions & peppers. When I say it was fantastic there is no other reason to anywhere else.
Friendly staff, good food, good prices-this place is great! They have Middle Eastern sandwiches and food.
Was a delicious lunch after a morning at the Zoo! Got the Gyro and stuffed grape leaves and was not disappointed.
So glad we visited! The first authentic Lebanese deli we have found in the States so far, that brings u the real taste of Lebanese food and ambiance. The taouk sandwiches were super filling and delicious, the service was great, friendly and extremely generous. Highly recommended.
If you are a garlic lover and want to try good baklava, you won’t regret visiting this deli!
*COVID REVIEW*
Byblos is no frills and all flavor. I called to place a pickup order that was ready in 15 minutes and followed safety protocols. The chicken shawarma and falafel pita sandwiches were very good, but the baba ghanouj was PERFECTION. Everything is inexpensive and the food hits the spot.
I hadn't eaten their food in a long time, but it always smells good when passing by on Connecticut Ave, so I decided to stop in today. My take out bag felt heavy in that way that tells you right away you got a good deal. The Greek salad w/ grilled chicken was almost too big to finish and delicious with their house dressing and tzatziki on top. They've been here for as long as I can remember, so now I'm wishing I'd visited more often when I lived nearby. Great little spot.
I was expecting something better according to high reviews. However, The Gyro was very ordinary, nothing special at all. Prices are different than what you see online.
When I usually enter such places, I don't ever get enough meat on my gyro. So I ordered double meat.
And ended up with a DELICIOUS MEAT MOUNTAIN.
Excellent.
Bread is perfect.
Delicious! My husband got the chef salad and I got the special which was sausage over rice and a side salad. Really good food.
This place never fails! Small menu but everything on the menu is delicious! I am not Greek nor I know much about Mediterranean food but this place must be among the best in the area!
This is the best place to eat in DC. I don't say that lightly. So rarely can you find fresh food, served at low prices, with a genuine family feel. Everything on the menu will impress you. Ask Marc what the daily homemade special is. It will blow you away!
Our stop at this restaurant was one of the best things of our trip, the food was excellent, all vegetables were fresh and the meat was well cooked. The prices are good as well. Totally worth it.
Also the staff working were super nice and polite.
Love this place! Great customer relating skills — friendly, professional and warm. I had the spinach pie platter with salad and my date had the chicken over rice platter with salad. Both delicious and filling. Highly recommend.
Chef Mark is amazing and his food is super tasty. We've been coming here for years, both for takeout/eat-in meals and for catering small dinner parties. Fantastic!
I really wish I could rate the food, especially after seeing all the rave reviews on how great it is. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the food, as I was the only customer in there waiting to order, but was never acknowledged for almost 10 minutes, as the guy behind the counter just sat on his phone. At one point he stood up looked at me staring at him, looked past me to look out the window behind me, then went back to his phone. Maybe I should have said something at this point, but I didn't and got ignored. So I left, hopefully it was a one off thing. Maybe I will try again another day and get to make a better review, but for now I can't give it more than 1 star for literally non-existent customer service.
