Call Your Mother Deli - West End reviews
15Love this place. I tried their pizza bagel & it was yum. I really loved the vibe as well so I can’t wait to be back!
I love this place, it's so cute, perfect study spot with wifi and plugs for your PC. The Bagels are super good and on the cheap side for a meal in DC.
Thunderbird with the Maple Salt & Pepper bagel was amazing. The maple melted a bit and gave it an amazing glaze
Always enjoy getting bagels at call your mother's! This location was just as nice as others?
Great customer service and good space to be in. They have great, comfortable indoor seating and has an outdoor area for when the sun is shining
Every fiber of my being wants to rave about Call Your Mother. That said, it just doesn’t stick the landing. Almost there, and ten outta ten on a couple categories for sure (and you’ll never be made fun of for liking it!), but…
Bagels are more dry than you want them to be, even the za’atar flavor profile which I’m extremely biased towards after a few years in the middle east. Worse, after my fifth attempt I have yet to have a sandwich that really lived up to expectations given the ingredients + menu descriptions (the most appealing can be too soggy/sticky).
The coffee’s really good.
Love the environment and service here. Folks are nice and there’s not a better seating arrangement in another bagel shop in the district.
The bagels are good. The sandwiches are good. I come here on occasion but think the bagel itself is fine and the cream cheeses are also okay. The sandwiches are fun and the best way to get a bagel here.
Some of the staff here are really lovely and kind, but several are really unnecessarily rude (not in one instance to just me, but in a few instances to me and a few friends). The food and coffee are fine. Truly the main draw is the Mercy Me setting.
Very nice that there is Wi-Fi on weekdays, but bring a hotspot or a book on weekends.
I don’t really know what a good bagel and cream cheese should cost anymore, but I do know what it should taste like. And it’s like the gorgeous crispy on the outside chewy on the inside sesame and cream cheese I had there. Plus the lobby of Yours Truly is the place to be!
Came here for a late breakfast. Bagels, babka and latkes were all 10/10. Can’t wait for breakfast tomorrow.
From New York. The bagels here definitely live up to the hype and are on par with NY bagels. The latkes and babka muffin were delicious as well. Definitely going back next time I’m in DC!
I recommend you come every day, try a different combination of bagel sandwiches and coffees/teas. You won’t be disappointed.
A testy bagel with egg sandwich plus a perfect cappuccino with a nice comfy seating area. Am not sure am okay with spending $12 on a breakfast bagel and small sized cappuccino. But overall It was good!
Somehow the bagels just don't seem the same as when I used to get them a couple years ago (at the other location) with zaatar and now when I get them, the texture just isn't that great bagel texture that you normally get. It's more like eating a dense roll. That's a shame.
I ordered catering (the dolph and a box of 12 chocolate babka muffins). I first reached out to CYM with an initial question prior to ordering, and they responded within 3 hours. Ordering online was straight forward and took me just minutes once I knew what I wanted. CYM reached out to me immediately as I forgot to add a pick up location. I went early pick-up day and had a delicious vanilla latte while I waited for my order. The food was ready at pick-up time, and the employees offered to help me carry the boxes. Food was delicious and fresh, and the customer service was above and beyond. Would come back again!
