Not good value for money! The only really nice things about this hotel is the great location and the historical feel that you get in the nice looking lobby. Other than that this hotel:
- is definitely understaffed - only one person at front desk and one person "serving breakfast";
- lacks communication - between its staff and the hotel guests - we got completely opposite info from two hotel employees. +Our room had breakfast included in its price, but the receptionist didn't give us the breakfast vouchers, so at the breakfast we got charged.got a refund after noticing on bill;
- has mostly junk food breakfast packed in a little box (so you don't get much choice) + no fresh water available anywhere;
- needs some renovation as the rooms are definitely getting old and air conditioning smells like dust;
- has small and dark rooms (some light bulbs weren't working) with noisy air conditioning and no fridge.
All in all, if you're staying in a room with a rate of 260$ a night you definitely expect a bit more than that. If it was 50-100$ I wouldn't complain.

First Class Hotel in walking distance to the
The White House and Capitol and many other attractions and monuments in the downtown area of Washington on the National Mall. Only drawback is so many homeless citizens in the area. Makes for a scary walk back to the hotel at night.
Otherwise the hotel has very good security guards who do a fantastic job in dealing with any problems that may arise around the Hilton property.

This hotel was a bit dated in the sleeping rooms. However, their meeting space was absolutely top of the line. The meeting space is located on the 2nd floor. It has a butlers kitchen. Separate entrance on 2nd floor for attendees. Beautiful "waiting rooms" for surprise guests, brides, grooms and self contained bath. A lot of history. Amazing CVD19 protocol. There were two front desk staff. Theresa is the day shift she was amazing. The night shift gentleman was super attentive. If you are planning ANY type of corporate, celebratory, small or large speak with Evan. He is amazing and knowledgeable. I'm hoping to bring an event to the Capitol Hilton in the near future.

Staff was wonderful. Had an issue with a loud room to one side of us. Called at 3: 45 in the morning and the desk had somebody knocking on there door 3 minutes later. They immediately gave us an extended checkout the next morning. The front desk and bell services staff were great too.

We have been trying to call this hotel for 3 hours with no answer. We are traveling with a terminally ill child to Washington D. C.and we tried to call to see if we are able to have a refrigerator brought to the room for his medication. After 3 hours of not answering. We will be spending our $650 elsewhere.

Theresa Thomas is the best Guest Service Agent ever. Being away from home and sleeping in another bed and using another shower is stressful. I’ve never felt more welcome at any other Hilton Hotel. She is friendly, polite, and assures that you will have a pleasant stay. Next time I’m in DC, definitely coming back to this Hilton Hotel.

They said online they had a restaurant and room service online, and when I called for room service they said it wasn't open. I was depending on that, due to needing a double knee replacement. So I took my walker, my oxygen tank and went to the lobby to find out where the restaurant was, and was told it was closed. No person to help with the luggage. The carpets looked like they needed shampooing,

I expect from Hilton more, my room pillows were kind of dirty and bath tub water wasn’t draining. Other than front desk receptionist (Theresa) was so kind and help full. Thank you

The AC was not working, staff was reluctant to move me to another room, rooms had a musty smell. For the price we paid, my stay was not worth the price.

This was a slightly better than average stay, it’s location is the saving grace of this hotel. If you’re looking for reasonably priced accommodations and looking to make the best of your DC visit (not spend all day in the hotel), this hotel is pretty centrally located and walkable distance to a lot of the touristy spots. The continental breakfast was pretty gross, you cannot convince me that the vegetarian breakfast sandwich wasn’t made by someone who hates vegetarians. The cleaning lady cop-knocked on my door at like 9 am and asked me when I was going to check out, when I told her closer to noon than 9 am, she rolled her eyes at me and turned and walked away. That ended up leaving a bad taste in my mouth but I tried not to let it ruin the rest of our day. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and nice to my dog, which I always appreciate!

Room was dirty (bug on pillow), A/C spit out dust, was supposed to have a view, but view was of a wall of a building it was right next to, not nearly as big as picture on website, no netflix or any other channel besides pay-per-view on tv ($20 to rent a movie), not a single USB charger in the whole room! Paid for parking, but was only valid if I parked there once and left car the whole trip, even then I was told "nothing is actually set up for this, so we'll give you a room credit, and you pay the parking. "

Would say much lower, but was excellent location and staff was pleasant.

I visited to provide beauty services for a client. I noticed that plenty of people had their pets (pet friendly hotel). The rooms are a bit small and from what I understand, the food was not that great, but those staying there can be the judge of that.

Staff was wonderful and so accommodating. However, the beds were like sleeping on rocks and the rooms look a little outdated compared to other comparable hotels. Overall the stay was great.
