Chifa DC reviews
15Great authentic food and selections! Staff is super nice and prices that won't break the bank especially for the amount of food. I wish I would have taken pictures but the chicken Ti Pa Kay was delicious so I started eating instead. Leave room for dessert (Alfajores!)
Highest quality food and service. Everything is delicious. My friends agree. Best dining option in DC!
The pictures and descriptions LIE. Didnt include any of the veggies. It was just onions and chicken. Oily and dry at the same time somehow. I really only ordered because they had chica morada. Wont ever order from here again.
Edit: the donuts were really tasty!
I thought it was an authentic Chifa restaurant, it was just imitation served in airplane size containers.
Food was divine! Perfect portion size actually ended up over ordering. Meet the manager, believe his name was Walter, wonderful interaction and blatantly obvious the care they put into their place!
Food was terrible. First of all the wantans were stale, the fries were really stale. The fried rice was super oily. The sweet and sour sauce was lacking, and when I asked for an extra side of the sauce that comes with the wantans they acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about and refused to give me one. This place is bad representation of authentic chifa food and you’re better off saving your money. They definitely should not be 4 stars.
The food is fantastic. I enjoyed the fried wonton. All the stir-fries are very tasty. The Peruvian Donuts are delicious with coffee. Restaurant is clean and inviting, service is excellent as well. I highly recommend it.
Great food and great service! Highly recommend to others and looking forward to my next meal!
Fantastic food. I have traveled to Peru many times and love Peruvian food. This is very authentic Peruvian food. Well worth the visit. We had Lloma Saltado. So good. The empanadas were very good too. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back. Worth the drive.
Amazing cuisine! Authentic and delicious. The ceviches are the best I've had here in the states. The picarones are so warm and sweet. I really loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place.
Can't comment on the authenticity of the food but my Peruvian coworker says it's "not bad. " The portion size is pretty good, but the ratio of pork to vegetables in the sweet and sour pork is off. Hardly any pork for a $13 entree. Need more rice too to balance out all the sauce. In the end it's not bad but pricy for what you get.
I passed this place a couple of times. I finally came in today and got wonton soup and chicken fried rice. It was really good! ️ The staff was friendly and the pictures on the walls was a nice touch to explain the infused cultures.
Great and delicious Peruvian food, nice place. The plates are authentic Peruvian food, high quality ingredients and good customer service.
Had kamlu wantan with fried rice. Rice is not included with the entree like it normally would (not even white rice). Just the entree is $13 - $14, plus $3 if you want rice. Too pricey for the food quality. Doesn't taste like peruvian chifa (cantonese style) at all! Panda express is better.
Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Walked by a few times on a lunch time walk and decided to stop in and check it out. Options for traditional Peruvian or Chinese Peruvian. I asked if the noodles were rice or wheat and the woman at the counter didn't know. I asked if she could check because it mattered to me. Ultimately I ordered the chicken fried rice and was asked if I wanted hot sauce, sure I said. I didn't realize that it was a $1 extra for a 2 ounce cup of sauce.
The chicken fried rice was pretty good, but for a fried rice dish, the portion was pretty small. With tax, tip and no drink it was $16.25.
