Clyde's of Georgetown, Washington DC

We asked the check and waited 5 min to arrive. After another waiting 10 minutes for just giving the tip, I gave up and decided to give the tip as bill. But they charged the tip on credit card as well even though I lined through the tip. So I paid the tip twice for a 15 minute of waiting! Be aware!

The discrimination we’ve faced at this restaurant for being we are black is just more than words.
I don’t want to go to in detail but I recommend no one to come here.

Quite a nice surprise. Our server was attentive, not annoying. We had an apps and dessert meal that was killer. Highly recommend the crab artichoke dip - it's ootw (out of this world), the sliders are good as is the chili and the espresso martini was awesome! A perfect cap off for a girl's trip to Georgetown!

I don't even know where to begin with this restaurant. On Wednesday, 10/18/2023, the host seated our group, but a few minutes later, the manager told us we had to leave because the table was reserved for another group. We're all professionals meeting for dinner after work. What struck me was that we were the only African Americans there, and even the manager, who was African American himself, treated us very rudely. This kind of behavior is terrible for business. I won't be returning, and I'll be sure to share this experience with everyone I know in the DMV area. This manager needs to be fired ASAP. "

Visited Clyde’s twice over the weekend, first for lunch and then for a drink at the end of the evening. The eggs Benedict was great and the burger was very good. I would be happy to return and would recommend.

The food was good but if your a big eater the portions of some items aren't worth it. Also the water cup smelled like dog.

Clyde's is a chain and has fed me on many occasions. It holds up to the other branches as a place I would happily take friends from out of town. The serve an excellent crab cake and a collection of yummy seafood dishes.

I enjoyed the Maryland crab soup and had the shrimp salad. My friend from out of town had the crab cake and was going to tell his wife about it when he got back to LA.

Clyde's is an institution in G-town. Great drink selections, iconic atmosphere, a bit pricey though.

Everything was really good but it is expensive. One glass of sangria was $15! And it wasn't even a large glass LOL

It took over a hour for our meal to arrive. The table behind us sat, ate and paid and we still didn't have our food. The server came over a few times claiming our food was coming out. Not once did the manager stop by to apologize. The server should of told the manager how long we waited. Just to acknowledge us would of been nice.

It was a turkey sandwich, steak salad, pork dish and and a steak dish. Next visit to DC won't be going to Clyde's.

A great go-to to bring your Midwestern relatives who love a high-end mall restaurant - it's like an indi fancy Brio/Macaroni Grill situation with a really cool DC vibe with cushy booth in parliament green! Locals may think it is a tad basic

I was very impressed with Clyde's of Georgetown. My dinner was not only filling, but delicious. I had the Chesapeake Bay Blue Catfish and it was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. It will NOT dissapoint. Service was great and attentive, even while busy. Check this place out.

We had a wonderful experience here! The waiter was so kind and thoughtful. He went above and beyond to check on my mom’s food allergies. There was lovely live music, nice tunes but not too loud, which meant we could still talk and enjoy the conversation. The food was soooo yummy. We had the trout parm and one of the big salads. Great vibes, great service, great food

Excellent clam chowder and crab cake, but the dip is a bit too salty. Fries worth everything.

A classic in DC, a classic menu, with good Sandwich and Burger. There are oysters and preserves for those who may have that craving.
