Great spot for anything and everything, including a compelling patio and bar. A comfortable old favorite.

My family & I arrived at this restaurant around 10am on Sunday, November 14th. We were seated at approximately 11am for outdoor seating. The seating area had heaters that didn’t not work, there was no heat or present fire from the heater. The guy Jack at the checkin counter was notified, Jack was very rude, unprofessional & did care about guest experience. He had an obvious demeanor of not caring! All his responses to my questions were replied to in a poor manner. We noticed other guest were seated at heaters with obvious working heaters. (Fire present) I would NOT recommend this place! Jack is no asset to the Commissary.

Alex was our server on Sunday. He was the best - had fun joking with us but also giving us space as we enjoyed our brunch. I would completely recommend this place. We asked for recommendations and had the eggs Benedict, fried chicken sandwich, and eggs/bacon brunch. All was great!

It was OK for breakfast. They made a nice brew of tea. Staff were friendly. But I wouldn't rush back.

The food here is very poorly prepared, taking an example of their grilled burger, you can taste nothing but the ash covered on the meat, and the meat inside are not fully cooked and very dangerous. Would not recommend anybody to take meals from them, and their chef should not work anywhere but garbage station.

This was the best breakfast I have had in 5 years. This place is well worth a visit for breakfast!

Came for a quick bite before an event during happy hour. Ordered the seasonal infused apple pie old fashioned. Absolutely delicious, not too sweet, but a perfect fall cocktail. Also ordered the cauliflower and chicken tacos and truffle fries. Very well done. I was happy, that’s the point of happy hour, right?

Hit or miss. Great prices for the area and generally good food. And attentive service. But they will absolutely serve cold food. Or pour you lukewarm coffee. You take your chances

Eaten here several times and use to be good. Now they always get the drink order wrong, over cook the burgers, forget the cheese, have soggy fries, and very poor service. If you want to leave within an hour of eating, ask for the bill when food is served!

Well, I was supposed to be eating right now, but I’m not, so I have time to write a review.

It was my first time here, my partner and I ordered for pick up. His ended up being really good. Mine, not so great. I happen to be vegan and had seen they have a vegan burrito on the menu. I opted for this. I saw on their order online site that they had an allergen menu to select. I selected egg and dairy because I want to be sure that it’s not cooked with food that contains either. So far so good! I actually appreciate this feature.

We got the food. My first impression of the burrito was.not great.it was sitting in a pool of burrito juice or something (I will add photos)

I took a bite. Not too bad, besides extremely soggy. I took another bite and realized- oh no- EGG. I inspected it and saw that it did, in fact, have egg in the burrito, rather than the spiced tofu I was promised. Disgusted (because I haven’t eaten eggs in years), I put it down and washed the taste of eggy chicken torture down with some grapes from the fruit cup that came with it.

The fruit cup was, admittedly, pretty good.

I can only assume that when whoever in there saw the word “egg” in the order, without noticing it was an allergen warning, thought it meant to add egg. A disappointing mistake if you’re hungry. I’ll persevere with some good vegan food in a little bit, but I won’t be back here.

Waited over 20 minutes to be seated for a dinner reservation. Waitress was extremely friendly, but food was meh. Decent experience, but nothing to write home about.

From the start, we thought the service would have been great because the hostess was amazing. But we were wrong.

After waiting 15 mins after being seated, we finally was offered water.
Our waitress immediately told us that the kitchen was short staffed and it may take a while for our food.
1. When the food came out, it was cold. That didn’t seem like a kitchen problem but a waitress problem with delivering our food while still hot.
2. One of our entrees had HAIR in it.
3. The manager, I guess, came out and told us that the kitchen had a bunch of new people and that’s why the delay in our food.
4. They couldn’t make a specific drink that we ordered so asked for another one instead but our waitress still had the charged on our ticket.
It’s unfortunate that this place was not what we wanted as far as a date night out especially since the hostess was amazing.

Great food at a fair price, and the farm-to-table freshness comes through in the dishes! A touch slow for service and the building was a bit stuffy, but otherwise a very pleasant dining experience.

Just went to have a quiet late breakfast. I asked to sit outside as it’s nice, though a tad bit warm but manageable with covering. Of the 13 tables in their outdoor seating, I was sat at the only one uncovered and in direct sunlight. Oh, was it busy one might ask? No, there were 3 tables seated. Rather than make a fuss, I politely told the staff that sat me that it’s too hot and that I’d just sit at the bar. The response, “I hear you! ” Just slightly annoying for something that didn’t seem to make sense, based on the open shaded tables.lol

I really liked my fish and mashed potatoes. My friend ate the porkchop and did not like it. I also ate a piece and I did not like it either. I think the pork chop was really big but not cooked through enough for our liking. The server was cool, drinks were good (bloody mary & peach old fashion) and the atmosphere was nice. I would come back for happy hour.

Restaurant was very chill. There are 2 parking garages within 3 minutes (walking distance) of the restaurant. There is a lot of outside seating. There was hardly anyone inside when we arrived, everyone was sitting outside. The servers were very friendly and helpful with menu items. The food cane out quickly and was quite delicious. They do breakfast until 4pm which is a bonus for me. I can eat breakfast all day. Great spot.

Excellent place to get a quick bite while in DC. We had the chicken wings, fish, and chicken tacos, and the brownie banana sundae that were all delicious! Server was excellent. Definitely a place to try while in the Capital area!

Came here for breakfast close by my hotel. American style restaurant with friendly waiter Miley. Had the Shakhuka a tasty eggs with tomato sauce. Before start of the day!

Went to breakfast here before going over to Awesome Con a few weeks ago. Great service and in an area that is known for some truly absurd breakfast/brunch pricing it was fairly reasonably priced.
