Gorgeous hotel, spacious and clean room, kind staff, excellent location, but the cost of parking was absolutely outrageous and I'm disappointed I was caught off-guard by that unexpected expense. They should at least have complimentary continental breakfast to make up for that for their guests.

This hotel has two elevators, of which only one works. It has been like this for over a week. Always long wait times for the one elevator that works. The floor buttons don't work properly. You have to continuously push the button so you can select your floor. For the price of the hotel room along with parking, you would think they would put a microwave in the room.nope, that won't happen. Their bistro is way overpriced. The staff are very courteous and friendly. So overall, fix the elevator and put microwaves in the rooms. So, since I wrote this, the elevators are back to one again as of the 16th, unreal. It is a busy hotel repair the elevator.

I used a hotel on the Capitol side six years ago, and this time I took it toward the Lincoln Memorial. So I went to the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial, and the White House, which are closer than the Capitol. If you're going to go around, be sure to ride a motorized bike like a bicycle. My legs hurt because it's so wide.

Perfect hotel for Passport Agency appointments. It's the perfect walking distance to everything. Hotel also let us pay to stay parked there after checkout. Hotel parking is valet only and very convenient. The restaurant food was great. Staff was AMAZING! Will book here again.

Poor service, inadequate check in, no compensation
Review: I stated many reasons why I will never stay with Marriott again. 1. Rooms not ready by check in time or reasonable time afterwards 2. Mosquitos in lobby 3. Rooms not located on same floor as requested. 4. When we requested water bottles while we waited we were given child sized bottles 5. Only one elevator was working. 6 Only 4 breakfasts were provided although we had 5 people in our party. Then they called to say we could indeed have a 5th free breakfast but when we arrived at the cafeteria we were charged for the additional breakfast. Coffee refills were not free

Had such a great experience and stay here! Great location and easy to get around to a lot of great spots. Rooms were clean and spacious. But even better was the awesome service! We were in town for a wedding and accidentally left our expensive formal attire in the closet. The staff was so helpful and friendly when helping us get them back. They shipped everything to us promptly with a kind note enclosed. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff. Great location, it is close to the national mall and several monuments. I would stay again and would recommend.

Mediocre in all ways. Really offensive to pay over $250 a night and not get breakfast or anything.

Jada was the most pleasant front desk staff member. She was able to help me with explaining where things were and even paid attention to members of my party to help direct me to where they were. She was highly attentive and provided much needed support on a rainy day.

Good location that's nearby the National Mall to see all the major sites and museums. Plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance but can take an uber for convenience. Although it's best to put in reservations ahead of time as the food choices tend to get busy. We opted to uber from place to place as parking is almost non existent where ever we went within the city. But the convenience of this hotels location was great. Rooms are clean and updated which I can appreciate from the Marriott brand. But you will need to valet park your vehicle at the hotel if you bring one though. As expected, it is expensive per night for your room stay and for parking but was worth it for me and the family.

Terrible Service! Desk staff was rude. Especially when I complained that after leaving the room for the whole day I returned at 8: 00 at night to a still dirty room.

I asked for an extra blanket and they said there were no blankets. U heard the same complaints from other hotel guests as well.

Also the rooms are stained and the rug is so dirty.

Also do not get the breakfast that is included, for an extra fee, for breakfast. The service is really slow and the selections are limited. You can easily buy a nicer breakfast for less money at the Starbucks on the corner. Or at an amazing food court that is a 5 minute walk.

All in it was a very sad and disappointing stay with rude staff. The only good part is that it is a few minute walk to GW. I plan to be in that area very frequently over the next few years. I will definitely go to any other hotel in the area instead.

A wonderfully quiet hotel to take temporary residence in on a trip to the nation's capital friendly staff and only 5 minutes away walk from the White House highly recommended

Clean location, walking distance from national mall. Highly recommend reserving a table at Farmers & Distillers for brunch as it’s in walking distance from here! Parking garage on premises & nice small balcony from our room

If you are a PERSON OF COLOR please do not stay here. We stood out and it was obvious in the way we were treated. Another family of color who were also given a hard time. It was hard not to notice. This stay was completely horrible. From the moment I arrived at 3am from a 8hr roadtrip the front desk staff was not pleasant to talk to. Almost aggravated with my arrival. She told me that parking was 56 dollars per night which said information was not disclosed during booking time. She was very short when telling me certain things I needed to know. So short that I, my self, the customer had to ask this hotel employee the check out time. She also did not inform me that she was placing a hold on my credit card (which would have been nice to know). When she was taking down my license plate I asked her "ok and when I get down there? " wondering if there was a specific door I needed to look for she said "well you find a parking spot" in an extremely annoyed tone. The next morning I spoke to another employee hoping to speak to someone the person told me that she would have a manager talk to me. I left as she told me no one was available for me now. On Sunday, when checking out I asked another staff member for the Manager -she then came out to talk to me. She was dismissing everything I had to say and said "We will take action on this". What does this even mean? This two night stay cost me 600 dollar. This isn't how I am supposed to feel specially paying so much money. When I told her that parking was another fee that I wasn't informed until I arrived and I didn't want them to charge the card on file she said "well how were you planning on paying" like my horrible experience didn't mean a thing. Not to one staff. I then took out cash and gave it to her. She gave me back my change and I told her she would hear about this on my reviews. This place made me feel extremely not welcome from the moment I walked in.
No wonder Airbnb is stealing the show- People are not pleasant and appreciative of your business anymore.

Staff was great, indoor pool was regrettably closed. Parking is pricey, but on par for area and convenient. The valet was very friendly! Breakfast and dinner options are quite limited. Our room was quite small for 3 people and felt old style. Very Little soundproofing, we could hear our neighbours all the time. With minor modifications, given the convenient location and the amazing staff, rates could improve quickly!
