Creative Grounds DC reviews
12Consistently amazing coffee, pastries and service. I've regularly going since last year
Creative Grounds is a community safe space and a haven for anyone who wants to step into the embrace of art, literature, and creativity broadly defined.
The indoor and outdoor seating options make it spacious and weather proof! It is an ideal spot for a cup of tea paired with a slice of cake, a morning stop for a quick coffee before work, or a place to lounge and work in the company of others.
The general vibe is a cafe-meets-gallery that is also a community space and venue for the creative minded.
Definitely one of our favourite spots in Bloomingdale
Lovely location to work and study. Great couch seating options. The Ayurveda Mocha was delicious. I would love to go on a day the patio was open (it was raining).
I like this spot- a very unique coffee shop! Nice place to work/study and not over crowded! Came to support Black Cake on Hulu!
Always a pleasure to stop by Creative Grounds - you never know what they're going to have going on and the coffee and atmosphere is just right. Really lucky to have them in the neighborhood!
Such a cool place with the friendliest service. My latte was perfect. I can't wait to come back
I often visit local coffee shops when I visit new places, usually sitting down for a bit and enjoying the atmosphere. This place made me want to leave as soon as I got my order. With bright white walls and fluorescent lighting, the smell of heavy cleaning product, and a rather uninviting barista, I just felt uncomfortable.
While the food menu is very limited, the pastries looked good, and the bagel and latte that I ordered were enjoyable. One of the women behind the counter, I believe the owner, was friendly and wished us to have a good day on the way out, so I will give a couple of stars.
I’m so excited to have finally tried to Creative Grounds. What put this place on my radar is how community oriented it is. They have events, sell books, and source from local vendors where possible. I enjoyed my latte, and was glad they had a vegan banana bread. There is ample seating indoors and out, with a very relaxing ambiance.
I love this place! I recently moved to the neighborhood and am delighted to have found it. The environment is cozy but also light and airy, coffee is excellent, and the owners and everyone who works there are really friendly. A true local, community minded cafe.
My favorite coffee shop in DC! The iced chai is delicious (the chai is homemade and not from concentrate!), and the ambiance is perfect and the seating is comfortable for getting work done.
Popped in here randomly when my toddler son and I really needed a quick break from a long walk in the hot weather - we could have stayed for the rest of the day. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, nice clean bathroom and great (not overpriced!) iced mochas. Even had a fun little toy area that was keeping my son entertained while we waited. Nice shaded patio area with picnic tables, water bowls for pups and small benches for young kiddos. Will return!
By far the best coffee shop in Bloomingdale. Great coffee and fantastic atmosphere. Super easy to relax and study - lots of natural sunlight and friendly staff.
