Stopped by a couple months ago, just a decaying facility with nothing to offer but a place to burn your cash. It had such promise, based on the photos. Not anymore.

DO NOT GO HERE
It is derelict. The say the steam room is not working, but the sauna is off and most of seating out of action. They are not heating the venue or cleaning it.

Please do not go. It is not a heathy place to be. They are just rinsing for cash before closing.

My review is based on 4 visits mostly in the weekends. The facilities are below average. The sauna is tiny and the steamroom is not kept in acceptable hygienical conditions. There is no other shared space other than these 2 environments and a large room with armchairs to watch old movies. No pool of any kind. Just little rooms. After a while, it becomes boring due to the lack of options.

No steam room? !? Most showers don’t work. Sauna needs repairs. Bench is broken.

Run down and shabby. Lacking amenities.

This place is clean, nice staff and centrally located. Their room rates are very high for the space you get. You can barely get in and close the door. No Cumunion fun, the dark room is closed, the steam room often smells like urine and dry sauna is tiny and very hot but doable. With limited options in DC its ok but, they no it and make you pay dearly for it. I still go but no where near as often as I did before. At this rate it will soon be just a gym and may become a Planet Fitness.joking.but it could happen.

The front desk staff is extremely rude and unfriendly. Especially to out of town guests. Don’t expect any kind of help or special consideration if you’ve never been to this club before. We were visiting from out of town and we’re given bad advice and checked out thinking that we would be able to step out get something to eat and come back and enjoy the club.

We were not told that there was a rule saying that you could not return to the club within six hours of checking out. We clearly were told that there wouldn’t be a problem if we just went out to get some food and come back. But when we were turned we were turned away by the extremely rude front desk staff. In fact They shut the little people door on our faces when they did not want to hear our concerns.

The staff is very friendly, and the facility is clean, but those are the only positives of the place. I've been patronizing Crew Club for over 10 years, and things have gone downhill lately. In the past, repairs were made promptly, but lately that's not the case. The shower nozzles and on/off levers have been is disrepair for quite some time. The bench seating in the dry sauna have been is disrepair as well. The steam room no longer works, and according to one of the staff, there are no plans to fix it. There were four video channels for the adult videos. Now there are only two channels. One of the video screens is broken and hasn't been replaced. Not too long ago they did a good job of re-branding that included repainting, but lately it seems the management has given up on the place. Add to that they've closed the darkroom, and they no longer have Cumunion Parties. The only reason people still patronize Crew Club is it's the only game in town, so to speak. I wouldn't be surprised to show up one day and see the place closed down. At this point the prices they charge aren't worth it.

The five star is for TRYING.a one star is what i can afford for a) cleanliness and b) manners.gee’zuz! I travel the world (for work) and even in cities with way less recognition i have found clean floors, walls and door knobs.ew! Appearance and attitude at reception has got to improve.the size of your tip jar is much much larger than a simple ”welcome! ” sad!

*is smoking permitted while indoors? Only at CC.: (

The worst sauna I have experienced. The facilities and the men are run away and at a price that is adjacent to theft.

I was in town for a conference, so it was my first time visiting the club, which was clean and nice. Even better, I had an incredible experience Saturday afternoon, where I met an amazing man - I could not believe my luck. We connected on many levels and discussed Rocketman, Breaking Bad, upstairs-downstairs, Henry James and more. Hoping you see this and reach out - I would love to stay in touch and continue the discussions.

Great staff. Surprisingly small. Relatively clean. Absurd rule on the rooms: technically you are only supposed to have one person per room. Only bathhouse to ever have that rule. Thank goodness the silly rule was never enforced while I was there. Makes zero sense as I would obviously pay extra for a room only if I wanted privacy for a hookup. I certainly wouldn't pay that much money so I could take a nap. Speaking of which, pricey but understandable as it's DC, where a parking spot can be rented for $10000 a year.

My review is strictly based on the venue and the price. This is the absolute most expensive bathhouse I’ve been to in the world and there is no justification for this price. The (extremely limited) amenities are often not working and they don’t offer a price adjustment with this in mind. Additionally, you can only stay 6 hours after paying $40 (depending on the day).

There is a lot of action on 1st & 3rd Saturdays, and it’s half off rooms/lockers on Tuesday (still overpriced, but more crowded). Honest opinion, you can have just as much “fun” at Spa Riverside in Annandale for a lot cheaper.

Went to crew club for the first time on a Tuesday night and really enjoyed myself. Entrance was clean and set the tone. Check-in was quick, staff was very nice, and the crowd was much bigger than I expected.

It was very diverse and more importantly very inclusive of everyone. Obviously we all wanted to take advantage of the discounted prices and I recommend doing the same. Once you’re inside don’t be afraid to speak to people. 9/10 they’re just as interested and trying to gauge your interest. There’s a steam room, sauna, dark room/sling, smoking balcony, lobby, and of course there are showers. Dark room is usually the best place to meet and gauge interest. Sauna isn’t the biggest but big enough. The steam room is a steam room. Lobby is chill and a nice place to recharge if you don’t have a room. There are vending machines there where you can purchase snacks and drinks. They also have plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers, which I loved.

If you go during a rush period, I recommend getting a room, if one is available, so you don’t find yourself missing opportunities. If none are available there a waitlist.

Things to bring: lube, flip-flops, and mouthwash.

Improvements: Gauging customers a little more to figure out if it’s their first time or if they may have questions. Dim the lighting in the hallways. Turn up the music. Play consistent music that adds to the scene. While I enjoy the classic films much better than the new stuff, it would be cool to see some newer stuff. Maybe one section could be classic and the other newer. Possible to hear the films? Bathroom flooring could be fixed. If you don’t already maybe sell flip-flops and mouthwash?
