Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Washington DC

Went to a corporate mixer. Food was delicious & plentiful. Margaritas are not usually my drink of choice, but I tried this one. It was strong but tasty. Would definitely go back!

The atmosphere here was great nothing less than a full vibe. From the music to the people, if you are looking for Cuban themed music and ambience this is your place.

I had the rum flight and it was very strong and good.

The real downfall of this place, is the service. My waiter was very impatient and didn’t do a good job of explaining anything on the menu. She was so in a rush and pretty rude, and that totally killed the whole experience of this place for me. On that note I really would not come back here just for that reason alone personally.

Beautiful atmosphere, good service, mediocre food. It’s just not Cuban food. I had the Ropa Vieja and it was more of a pot roast than the real thing. The coconut shrimp are pitiful and the vegetarian paella was elementary. Desserts were also just bad. Highlight of the meal was the free bread and mango butter — but what a bad sign that it was straight downhill from there. And for what I spent? No way I’d go back there.

The food was great, the service? Impeccable. The environment? Very colonial-caribbean. It made me feel like i was on vacation. Will come back as many times as i can

We had the RPA BoD 2024 dinner here and the private room and set menu for appetizers and dessert with the four entree option was well done. Enjoyed the skirt steak which was medium rare and delicious with an amazing sauce. The bar drink choices were prepared well and the service was outstanding all evening. It was a fun relaxed evening for board members to mingle and share a wonderful dining experience.

Very good Cuban restaurant. Just to highlight that if it is a Cuban restaurant it must have roast pork and boiled yucca, that cannot be missing. Everything else is excellent.

Not cuban at all. The food is way overpriced for what it is. The place is very pretty, and the ambiance is super nice, but what a shame with the food. Very small portion of non-cuban food and extremely expensive. Look at the pictures I posted so you'll see how beautiful the place is. My recommendation to the owner is to improve the food.

Very nice place that I wish I'd have discovered sooner during our weekend trip to Washington. As a Cuban born, I cherish every experience that transports me back to my homeland. And this place definitely has that magic through its food, music, drinks and decoration. On Fridays and Saturdays you can dance too! What else can you ask? !

Great atmosphere inside! You feel like your dining outdoors in Cuba. The Food was delicious, The Borracho was so tender and flavorful, And the Empanadas were a wonderful appetizer. Also our waiter was pleasant which is always a plus. Great dining experience.

Last night I was there, the first time since we arrived in this country, we eat in a restaurant when, a place that I recommend 100%, since I am Cuban but not because of that, but because the atmosphere is cozy and the food delicious, super friendly staff. Don't stop going. Thank you so much

As you walk in youre transported to a festive little tropical town, the atmosphere is so welcoming you wish you could stay for hours. The food is amazing, everything is tasty, the bread with the spread is a must. The best mojitos ever. I just love this place.

Had a few drinks before the place closed down for a private party. Good Mojito. Good tequila old fashioned.

At night this restaurant turns into a club which is cool. They had an excellent range of cocktails of which I enjoyed all of them.

In the midst of Chinatown there is this restaurant. I imagined I was in Cuba. The food is great, I had the paellella de Mariscos.

They literally told us to stand up from our seats and took it away at the bar. For context, they took the seats from almost everyone who's not eating. Have never felt so embarrassed at a bar.
