I came here after not finding what I was looking for at ace hardware and home depot. I walked in and Ella's immediately helped me. She found exactly what I was looking for in less than 5 minutes and I was on my way. Ella was very professional and knowledgeable. Will come back.

The installation for which we contracted was delayed by a few days - we were given very late notice and only after I reached out. Once it began the crew were professional and efficient. We were also given a slight discount due to the delay. On the whole I’m very satisfied with the final product.

District Floor Depot recently sanded and refinished the white oak floors in my 1920's home. The work only took 2 days and the outcome is very good. The site foreman, known as Ever, explained the process and asked my preference on how to shape the ends of the shoe moulding. Through the years paint from the door frames had puddled on the floor - the crew removed all of that. Ever explained that they could replace planks that still showed stains after sanding, but accepted without pressure my decision to not do that. All in all, a good experience.

I hired District Floor Depot to resurface my oak wood floors and to build a landing zone at the bottom of my steps to match the oak floors. They did an EXCELLENT job to replenish my old floors. Attached are a couple of before and afterwards pictures. MARIO was the Project Lead and was very helpful and suggestive in helping me plan my project. The job was performed by Jose and Ever's Crew. VERY Professional and workman like. I highly recommend this company for your wood floor needs. They do more than just wood floors so I will keep them in mind for other future projects.

We chose DFD based on recommendations from other condo owners in our building. They performed carpet removal and installed hardwood (engineered wood) at a reasonable price, without delay, and as promised, and I'd be hard pressed to ask for anything more. They gave due warning that things may not go according to plan with the staircase, but everything ended up going smoothly and the stairs look even better than we thought they would. We'll definitely go to them again for other projects.

Had a great experience working with District Floor Depot for my second time. Their professionals refinished our old basement floors quickly and without issue.

The District Floor Depot showroom is clean and well laid out with its products. Seth Roberts was responsive to my questions and concerns. He went above and beyond to assist me find the perfect product. The team installing the floors moved fast. The work was completed in two days. I will recommend District Floor Depot.

Working with District floor depot was a great experience from start to finish. Prices were reasonable and the installation was flawless. I am very happy the customer service and the products I purchased. Highly recommended!

Pros: In the end the floors look great & the prices were decent. We’ve had them for 3 years now and they’re holding up well (obviously this is a testament to both the type of flooring, but also how it was installed).

Cons:
The experience was a hassle to say the least.

There was no on site project manager to coordinate with - the workers showed up too early and on days we clearly told them not to work (per HOA rules in our condo). Our neighbors were very unhappy.

They were a bit careless. They put holes in the wall in a few locations and did not attempt to fix them. They got stain on the trim of the stairs and did not fix that either.

Maybe a con, maybe truly unexpected:
They told us we could keep our banisters after doing a site visit. We spent an entire weekend sanding and staining them to match the new floor color. Once they began the install, they called us and told us they had to rip them out. They couldn’t explain why this wasn’t caught during our site visit and included in our original estimate. I get that things come up, but the issue that arose would have been obvious in the site visit.

Overall, in hindsight, the experience was fine.

Quality work for a reasonable price. District Floor Depot was easy to work with from the initial consultation all the way through the process. They installed new hardwood floors to replace ugly old carpet, and vinyl tile to update my bathroom.

I had an EXCEPTIONAL experience with District Floor Depot. We worked closely with Seth and Mario to select a beautiful engineered hardwood floor that really fit our style, and I appreciated how thorough and accommodating they were throughout the process. They were the best!

From taking measurements to materials selection to installation, the DFD team was responsive, professional, and precise. When they were done, I had a beautiful floor at a reasonable price. I'd wholeheartedly recommend DFD, and will certainly be using them the next time I need new floors installed.

DFD is amazing! They helped us secure the materials needed for our fixer upper and we couldn’t be happier. Ella especially helped us with all our needs and was very patient and caring. We love our new floors and will continue shopping with them.

It's pretty clear why this DFD location has earned 4.8 stars; Customer service, quality installation, reasonable pricing, and customer service. Did I mention the customer service. It was an absolutely wonderful no hassle experience from beginning to end. I couldn't recommend them more!

With the goal of brightening and refreshing our basement flooring, our contractor recommended replacing the carpet squares with vinyl flooring from District Floor Depot. My husband and I visited the Rhode Island Avenue showroom and with the help of Ekka, who answered all of our questions, we were able to quickly choose the style we wanted after taking home samples and seeing photos of full installations. The results are tremendous! The new floors brighten our basement and add beauty and value to our home. Highly recommend!

District Floor Depot did an amazing job on my new hardwood floor kitchen install, from start to finish. Mario came to my home to assess the floor and provide an estimate. He stayed with the project and communicated with me on every aspect of the project. He worked with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted, from the choice of wood (Bruce/Dundee red oak), through floor delivery, the entire install, and follow-up. The install team, lead by Geronimo, was extraordinary. They respected my home by providing floor coverings, installed the floors beautifully, did exceptional finishing work with floor molding and cleaned up every spec of dust. Their craftsmanship was topnotch. My kitchen is not small-medium size. They started promptly at 8am and finished at 2: 30. In less than a week, Mario provided an estimate, had my wood delivered, and ensured that the install occurred in less than a day-all at a great price. I enjoyed working with District Floor Depot and highly recommend them for their quality work and superior customer support from start to finish. 4/2/23. DFD provided excellent customer service and consultation from start to finish. Their process is user friendly, their entire staff knowledgeable and helpful, and their rates very competitive. I will absolutely be going back for all future flooring needs and recommending them!
