Dolcezza Gelato and Coffee reviews
21Some of the best gelato I've ever had! Love that they have the farms they source from listed. And such a fun area to sit outside and enjoy the city!
Absolutely delicious! I had the coconut dulce de leche and mascarpone w berries gelato and it was superb!
Excellent gelato, but very expensive. Their large is the size of a small cup in most other ice cream and gelato places.
I had a delicious decaf affogato with some chocolate Gelato. Very tasty. The little seating area just down the lane from this shoppe is also quite lovely.
EDITED —- jesus. I went back there last night. They don’t even wear gloves when they are scooping the gelato. Is this a joke? Still, they did not change the cup size.
️️️The gelato is amazing but they don’t know how to scoop ice cream properly. Seriously? Why is it always all over the tiny cup? Change the size of the cup or have your employees get a better training
They have some unique flavors but man is it overpriced. It's good but not great. I've had ice cream just as good at random hole-in-the-walls for half the price and twice the portion.
If you stop by, try the black sesame if you've never had it.
Tastes great and the staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is great. It's a bit overpriced for the portions.
The gelato flavors are so delicious and the texture is velvety smooth. The temperature the gelato is served is perfect, right at the point of almost melting but not quite. Definitely will be coming back!
An excellent choice for coffee and gelato. A good mix of classic and unique gelato flavors. Great service with plenty of help on hand. If you want just a small, they force two flavors on you, so you're committed to over $6. Very nice interior makes a great spot to hang out and chat, so you can get your money's worth.
They've mixed too many flavors instead of standard flavors you have to choose lemon with a string taste of basil; salted caramel was the only flavor I liked and they hadn't mixed in other odd flavorings, but even that was sweeter than normal.
Nice space, delicious gelato, superior looking staff, great choice of music - highly recommend it!
Shrinking portions, mediocre service
Maybe it's the tourist volume, but this is the worst Dolcezza location. The place was dirty, water tap out of order, and the potions were smaller than I've had anywhere else. I say this as a Dolcezza fan. I won't be back here. Better off ordering the mediocre desert in your restaurant. You'll have a better time.
Stopped by to try out the ice cream. The location is amazing and I loved that they have a unique selection of ice cream.
It was delicious, but it didn't really taste like an actual gelato you could get in Italy. Still a nice place though and I'd definitely go back!
Lavender gelato is a must and the dulce de leche latte is perfectly sweet. Can't wait to return, although the gelato is a little expensive.
I got the dark chocolate gelato and the peaches and cream gelato. Even though the portion size is small, it's filling with a lovely deep flavor. The black sesame gelato and the bananas foster gelato are also very good. On the pricey side, but this is a great place for an elegant treat.
Great ambiance, space and I love a place that has both coffee and sweets. Bonuses: sitting in the windows and people watching, high top seating (my preference) and plenty of electrical outlets.
Great coffee; nice place to sit for a while and write, work, enjoy gelato, coffee or pastries. Yummy well done Gibraltar!
Truly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Great service and the food was prepared quickly. Inside the store was beautiful- very modern and aesthetic. Good atmosphere, and the price was decent for being in D. C. I didn't get a chance to try the gelato, but I look forward to in the future. Overall, a very good place to go.
Slightly overpriced for a small amount of gelato if you're indulging in middle class luxaries. Otherwise delicious and innovative flavors. They also sell their gelato/sorbettos in pints which is a better value. I consider it a twice year treat based on the price alone, but if I was able to I'd love to go there more often.
