Dominican Star Hair Salon, Washington DC

I love this salon. Literally a hidden gem. I stumbled across this salon, as I needed an emergency hair appointment. They didn’t turn me away! I’m a beauty girl, so I’m VERY particular about my grooming. These ladies DO NOT disappoint. On top of that you’re in and out. No long waits, no harsh heat. Professionalism and perfection. I love it here.

They didn’t listen when i told them to stop putting extra heat in my hair and they damaged it.my hair still smells horrible too

The customer service was awesome. I needed to get my hair done at the last minute for a trip. They did an amazing job and the price was very reasonable because I have long hair. I will go back and I would also recommend this salon.

Rosanna is kind and extremely gentle with my very curly hair! She also gave me an excellent trim.

I've been going here for 8yrs now. My hair was severely damaged before going there, and now my hair is healthier than ever. I've never got heat damaged and my hair is treated with so much care. I LOVE THEM

Three months after having my hair done here, I have severe heat damage. In addition, I am positive that relaxer was added to their shampoo (a sometimes common occurrence at certain Dominican salons when they don't want to deal with thick and curly hair, I later learned) and now may lovely curls are gone.ruined. Please all curly, natural ladies. DO NOT GO HERE.

Great service, love the thorough wash, blow dried and flat iron in very small sections so hair is supper straight and long! I live in Columbia and it's worth the drive.

I just took out braids and was in desperate need of a good conditioner and blowout. They were so patient and gentle detangling my hair. She reassured me on the fact that I do NOT need a relaxer. She gave me a great blowout, and all in under 2 hours! Awesome!

The ladies at Dominican Star are the only ones allowed to touch my hair other than me. I love them.
