DuPont Italian Kitchen reviews
7Excellent, attentive & friendly service from a friendly lady with blond hair. Excellent, and tasty food which all our party thoroughly enjoyed. 12/10 recommend the Frosé drink (frozen rosé, vodka, strawberry purée)
The manager of the restaurant was very nice. I came alone but his friendliness and conversation made for a great experience.
Traveling alone for work so I ordered based on what would be good in a to go box in a hotel: chicken parmigiana and mozzarella sticks. Tasty choices, hit just the right pasta spot, but understandably not mind blowing. I’d still rate my meal a 5 star though because it was exactly what I needed it to be and satisfied my craving.
Visited DC for a short trip and this restaurant was just round the corner from my hotel. The location was great and not to busy on a Wednesday around 6pm. Great pizzas and the price was fine for DC. Recommend
An old favorite. Food excellent although the portions not generous. Service excellent from the manager to the server. A bit run down in terms of ambiance but still a delightful choice!
I would NOT go there again.
Food tastes pretty empty/didn't taste good, hardly seasoned. We ordered the lasagna and the pasta with shrimp and cream sauce. With lots of salt and pepper, the lasagne was ok but unfortunately not good. There were four shrimp in the pasta. These were not completely peeled, the cream sauce was very heavy and also too weakly seasoned.
The service was also unsatisfactory. We got the card and were supposed to order food right away, but haven't read the whole card yet. Food came quickly, but unfortunately didn't taste good. We were asked if we would like to order more, which we said no. Then the bill came right away, although we thought about ordering another beer (we didn't do that). When paying, the waitress deducted a 18% tip/TIP from the card. We then asked how it works here, since we have always received the receipt in the USA and then been able to enter the tip ourselves, whereupon the waitress reacted as follows: "That's the way it is here, next door you have to pay a 20% obligatory tip, here only 18%. ” We found that very outrageous.
Ambiance was good, we were able to sit outside.
Dated staple popular w locals where you go to enjoy the scenery and camaraderie. This joint gets hopping at night when the bar upstairs is packed to the brim w singing drag queens putting on a show while drinks are poured on the double. We went for brunches and it was aight. The standard selection gives the normal options you’d expect from an Italian American joint. We got the bruschetta, puttanesca, and arancinni…somehow we veered away from breakfast options. Everything was fine. It was a beautiful day and as we were seated outside, we decided to enjoy the nice weather more.
