El Centro reviews
18We place an order of vegetarian quesadillas and after several reminders during the placing of our special order, our entree came with chicken pieces in it. We only realize when were half way through it. We got the taste of chicken first time in our lives. We had the usual, generic, unapologetic apology from the maître d’. Nevertheless they have lost a parton and future vegetarian patrons. This place cannot cook a vegetarian meal.
Love the atmosphere, it’s Christmasy. Love cocktails and tacos! I seated at the bar, David made great service.
The Strawberry basil margarita is 10/10! Also the shrimp tacos are my favorite! Overall super good!
Meri was great and very attentive, helped a lot and always refilled our drinks! Amazing service
Do not go here with a big group! We go all the time but in small groups and it’s been great but unfortunately I had a 25th birthday party for my sister and it was a mess! To start we were placed in a corner with three separate tables. Then we were served ceviche and we specifically said my sister had a seafood allergy huge huge red flag. We couldn’t enjoy anything because of cross-contamination.then we had the cake cut, which was for 50 people and when we asked for the cake they said that that was the whole cake which was impossible because we always buy the same cake and we always have at least more than half of the cake to take home not only that, but we had a customized topper with my sister’s name on it that she wanted to save and we didn’t even get that. Then the waiter told us we had 10 minutes so we were finishing up the cake and right after the waiter came over another server came over and said we had 20 minutes so we all just felt so rushed not a pleasant experience at all I’m leaving this review because I specifically emailed them directly And never heard back. So to end this on a good note I do recommend this place for small groups no more than 5 but anything bigger than that don’t waste your time or money there’s so many other places in Georgetown that will treat you great and not just want your money. Cheers!
Meri was so great, we came for brunch and she was so attentive, we loved her. We need more people like meri!
We did bottomless brunch here. The food was amazing! Our waitress Mari was so attentive, informative, and personable she made the experience great. Atmosphere is very chill, able to have conversations, music wasn’t too loud. Would highly recommend!
We came, me and my wife there after seeing some great reviews.
We reserved place and no one told us the restaurant will be fully packed.
When we came, we decided to seat on the bar and the bartender tald us that he doesn't have time and we need to decide quickly. He told the same to the other couple who sat next to us.
Eventually we ordered food.
The food was medium and the service was terrible. Not pleased and not polite.
Definitely not going back there again.
Actually, the couple next to us, asked us where we are going next to eat proper food with nice service. Sais a lot.
Our waitress Meri was so attentive and kind! Bottomless brunch was great and we had the opportunity to try so many different authentic Mexican dishes.
I have never been inside. I sit by wawa. I heard it was popping with. Nothing royal or nobility that was at Wawa.
Our bartender Kevin was amazing! He made an amazing margarita and even gave us recommendations on where to visit the next day. It was our first time in DC, 10/10 experience
I was visiting Washington and this place was recommended to me, there were comments that the service was not very good but that was not the case since Yuri was my waitress and she had great service, it was definitely a great experience in Washington DC
We had a great dinner when visiting Georgetown. Our bartender, Kevin was very friendly and made a delicious spicy mango margarita. We will definitely be back during our next visit!
I had a great dinner with my recent fiancé and had the best server; Kevin, his knowledge of the menu really guided our dining experience and I could not be happier with the service and food.
Had a great happy hour at El Centro, Kevin, my bartender gave me a great recommendation for a margarita with herredura reposado and it was fantastic. Kevin was engaging and great to talk to!
I met up with a good friend for drinks during happy hour. The drinks were delicious, fast service at the bar (it was packed) on top of that their happy hour nachos were a great sized portion with lots of steak. I recommend coming for their happy hour!
Kinda comical how they get one bad review and beg their customers & employees to write a 5 star review for them all within 45 min span. Do better, and get a new manager.
Stopped by for a good meal on a friend's recommendation and was very happy with our choice. The food was delicious and our server Kevin really helped tie our experience together with his charisma and his drink recommendations. Thanks for making the night Kevin, will definitely be coming back!
