Eldon Luxury Suites, Washington DC

My husband and I were supposed to stay for a total of three nights. I cannot speak for the hotel itself as my husband and I were in the chaos of the Southwest flight cancellations but we attempted to call them multiple times to update them on our progress of the trip. It took literally 5-7 calls each time to get anyone to answer the phone. We offered to stay additional nights to make up for the nights we missed. When they answered, they were not helpful at all and seemed to make it seem like there was always someone else I needed to speak to in order to resolve the issue. In the end, they sent an email saying they cannot accommodate us with the additional nights or the refund. We cancelled our stay there and they have not answered the phone for us to even discuss getting a refund at least for the night we did not stay. Awful customer service.

Despite their response at the bottom. My review is still very much valid. Terrible customer service.

Eldon Luxury Suites goes out of it's way to redefine the word "Luxury". Turns out Luxury can be another word for "mediocre".

Issues included:
- Guest can't cool the room with AC past October 15th
- Garbage left in the room from the previous guest
- Reception didn't know what a "Coat Hanger" was. Not that they didn't have any, but they didn't know what they were.
- Elevator smelled like rotting fish. There was an air-freshener, which didn't do great.

Stay elsewhere if you can - way better options out there.

Great room, great localization, friendly staff, reasonable.price. I highly recommend Eldon Suites.

I booked 3 rooms each for 6 nights for members of my team attending a conference. I was attracted to this property because of its convenient location to the conference hotel and inclusion of kitchens in the room. However, I was extremely disappointed by the customer service we experienced at this property. It was the worst I have ever experienced. We experienced a number of problems including payment confusion at check-in (I had prearranged payment on my card for all rooms), one room not being clean, torn/ripped sheets, key card repeatedly not working, rooms being too hot (78 degrees), and broken sofa bed. I can accept problems arise, but I expect staff to strive to make things right as soon as possible or compensate guests accordingly for the inconvenience. Front line staff were slow in response or did not adequately respond to guests. This required intervention on my behalf to advocate for guests. When I had an opportunity to speak with the manager she initially blamed my guests for not raising concerns promptly and defending her staff. She continued to defend her staff when I informed her that my guests did inform staff promptly about issues and that I had followed up promptly when these issues were not addressed. When I respectfully asked for compensation for the first night of the room with the most problems (not clean, stained sheets, broken sofa bed) she only agreed to 15% discount for that first night, which I viewed as inadequate given the inconvenience and time involved to resolve issues. Upon checking out, this was not reflected in the bill and I had to again advocate for it to be applied and refund to my credit card. I would not recommend this hotel.

Such a cute hotel. Nice and adequately updated. Housekeeping and front desk staff were very accommodating as well. I didn't give a 5* only because of parking. There is a parking lot right next to the hotel but be prepared to spend $60 for an overnight stay.

Small hotel, the rooms are really comfortable, you have living room and big kitchen, this place is perfect for family. Clean and good room service. The enternce of the hotel is with stairs.

Definitely a little gem among the big choices around. Don't expect perfection. Expect a very nice room, with a full kitchen and living room that you can spread out and relax. Will look to see if they have availability the next time we are in town.

Rude doorman, no parking, dirty room, lost reservation, no roof access. On the plus side, large room with kitchen and good location.

Pros: Thre location is pretty central DC, its qalkimg distance to alot of places, the bus stand is at a 3ins walk as well. Love that a CVS is literally right at the back of the building.

Coming to the suites, the size is amazing, 1 bedroom, a good size tv lounge attached kicthen which have all the basic supplies

Cons: i wish they had a washing machine in the suite as well or in the building. However ghe closest laundrette is 12 mins walking distance.
Its super loud early in the morning from traffic noise to people talking loudly on the road, you can hear everything in this apartment, this used ro disrupt my sleep

If you’re looking for luxury, this place is NOT it. I reserved a suite for 12 nights and had to check out after the second day. The rooms are dark and dismal. Small windows facing a brick wall, letting in very little sunlight. I feel like I’m in someone’s basement. The rooms are drab and the decor is old and outdated. My blinds were half broken and the dishwasher is literally one push away from completely falling apart. Nothing here is modern. The only luxurious thing about this suite is that it has hot water and A/C. Oh yeah and it’s within walking distance of a lot of places.

What a disaster. Luxury includes 20 min wait for towels and linen only to find out and not being told that there is no hot water in the entire building. A promise that hot water might be Available at checkout.an unannounced 150 hold on your credit card. NEVER AGAIN. AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE. 4pm checkin and an 11am checkout. The only thing they would offer is sorry. No stars if that was an option. We traveled to DC in 97 degree weather did some sight seeing only to return back to the luxury suites with no water? Sad thing is they were still checking people in knowing there is no hot water

My most favorite hotel in DC. Generous rooms. Well maintained. Great staff. Close to everything.

Why do you guys have to tell people that there are no parking for guests after booking the hotel. I am going to stay in this hotel for about a week were am I going to park my car

Worse option in the neighborhood, more like a one bedroom apartment, which is unpractical. Tasteless suites. Also: terrible wifi and ugly white lighting. Not coming back.

It's like renting an apartment for a few days. The location is central and there is a very convenient parking lot right next to it. The only thing that they could improve on is just updating the rooms a bit.

Full kitchen. Hard mattress. Shower had good pressure and many options. Not enough lights in the bathroom though (no light on mirror or around mirror). Private bedroom and pull out couch.

We were not allowed to enter the country and this “hotel” just did NOTHING to rebook. It just took my money. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
