ELITE DENTAL reviews
11Third dentist I've used in the area and definitely the best. Dr. Smith is a great dentist - skilled, experienced and great with patients. He's done several fillings and crowns that have all gone well and no pain. However, they seem to have turnover with hygienists so my experience has unfortunately ranged from great to poor.
I always see and hear people looking for a friendly, professionally run dental office in the Northwest area of DC, I seriously recommend Elite Dental.
Dr. Smith is an amazing dentist, pleasant and informative. Quite knowledgeable in his expertise. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who is interested in maintaining good teeth
For over 2yrs, I been waiting for my implant partial. At this point I have no faith or understanding, to what will happen next. What happened!
No one has the answer to what happened or when. Paid in full
It’s the keep calling you to confirm something you already know for me. I wouldn’t recommend. The front desk staff is rude. Very unprofessional and they charge for everything like you calling to reschedule an appointment. And i have great dental insurance so i wouldn’t expect my co pays to be the prices that i paid. Tatianna must not make enough money for all that they be asking her to do as a bill and coding person because sis needs to work on her customer service skills.
I cannot speak for all of the dentists at Elite Dental, but I will say that Dr. Marshall and Dr. Callahan are wanting, both are mediocre dentists at best. Dr. Callahan, the orthodontist caused my root canal to break with the Invisalign treatment. It was determined that the break caused an infection per the dentist on site Dr. Marshall. I asked for antibiotic and was refused and sent outside of the practice to receive treatment. Imagine a doctor diagnosing a patient with an infection and then not giving the patient a simple antibiotic to begin to clear up the infection. Since I was sent outside of the practice, I had another dentist to clean up the mess caused at Elite Dental. At that point, I had lost all confidence in the practice and wanted no more to do with them. Taking care of the infection and the broken root canal was a trial. I just don't think that all of the doctors at Elite Dental are thorough, at least that's my experience, and this is my first time ever writing a review on Google, which is evidence of my traumatic experience caused by Elite Dental. Beware!
I came in as a new patient with tooth pain, after not having been to the dentist in about 10 months. They took a bunch of X-rays which showed no cavities and otherwise healthy teeth and gums, but then they took pictures of the inside of my mouth and the dentist informed me that I have 9 cavities. NINE. I think I maybe had one in my entire life and I brush and floss regularly, so this was pretty shocking and devastating. The dentist said I might as well have my four wisdom teeth extracted, plus another 5 fillings they'll need to do. I asked if it's possible that it's just the beginnings of cavities and it might be reversible and he said no. The proposed treatment plan added up to $600, assuming my dental insurance would cover half of it. It would be $1170 out-of-pocket. I went home feeling pretty ashamed and guilty for having all those cavities, not to mention the money I would have to spend, when my wife insisted that we go to another dentist who's much farther but we've had nothing but good experiences there. I go to this dentist and he says I have some plaque, and some grooves in my molars but 0 cavities. ZERO. He shows me how he pokes my tooth with a sharp tool that would go through if there was decay but there is none. So I am pretty baffled. I never write reviews like this but I just want to balance all of the 5 star reviews, which were the reason I came to Elite Dental in the first place. Needless to say, I will never go back.
I had a pleasant experience at Elite Dental. They were very friendly and professional and the place was nice and clean.
My visits are always pleasant and attentive! I always experience carefully and thoughtful care and have not endured any post visit discomforts. I have been a patient since before Elite Dental became Elite Dental. Thanks, to all Team Elite Dental members - more than 22 years!
Originally, I was really impressed with Elite Dental. They were helpful and didn’t immediately claim I needed invisilign or other expensive procedures. However, for the past year I have had continued issues with scheduling. After having an appointment canceled in June 2022 and then Elite being unable to reschedule me for having a cavity checked and a cleaning, I finally received an appt in July. During that appointment they said they couldn’t do my cleaning anymore and after I expressed disappointment the dentist agreed to do my cleaning. I continue to have sensitivity with the original cavity they filled but I decided to give them one more try since they agreed to fix the botched filling for free. They only are able to schedule cleanings 6 months in advance. They will schedule my filling but won’t clean and check my teeth first. Dentists should be able to see you for issues. Elite Dental has their schedule to full.
