Emmy Squared Pizza: Shaw - Washington D.C.

Yummy pizza! I love pizza and usually go for New York style. Good to mix it up every once in a while with this deep dish. I had the Roni Supreme and enjoyed it. Could have used a few more ronis considering it’s called supreme but tasty anyway!

Favorite pizza in the city, hands down. I ordered Emmy Squared for an event I hosted and it was an absolute hit. On top of that, everyone at Emmy Squared-from the manager who took my order to the delivery driver-was super communicative and professional. I will be sure to book them again for another event soon.

This review is for delivery. We like the food, only it always arrives disgustingly cold because their delivery is consistently, routinely, without exception, appalling. We know when we order delivery, our food won’t arrive piping hot, and there will be occasional challenges. But wow, this place gets the delivery window/eta wrong by a margin of about 30 minutes ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE TIME. And that’s my biggest complaint. If you give the option of a delivery time, and the food order was placed HOURS before, how is is possible to ALWAYS deliver the food a full half hour AFTER the eta given in each and every update? This last time, the order was placed at 3: 25pm for 6pm delivery. Our “dasher” “Ricardo” picked up our order at 5: 35.5: 35, okay? Multiple texts said delivery time would be 5: 58. It came at 6: 22. And this is the sort of thing that happens EVERY TIME. Unacceptable. Each time we order food from here, we eventually remember why it had been so long since our previous order. Also? It ain’t cheap. Never again.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this restaurant. The unprofessional employees were the least of my worries. I placed my order 25 minutes in advance and then had to wait an additional 24 minutes, even though there were no other customers in the restaurant. I ordered a simple salad, and it took nearly an hour to arrive. Throughout my waiting period, it felt like the staff was intentionally ignoring me, as they repeatedly walked past without checking on my order. I had to constantly inquire about the Caesar salad's status. I will definitely not be returning to this place.

Pizza was nice and hot and was really good. My waitress Destiny was good and the service was quick. Thanks for the pleasant experience.

We decided (party of 4) to give this place a try (based solely on reviews) for an early dinner leading up to a concert at a nearby venue. We arrived a little early and were seated right away (Friday afternoon around 330pm). The lack of a crowd was a little concerning when we first arrived, but our server, Anaya (spelling?) was fantastic! She was pleasant, polite, and attentive. I accidentally ordered a non-alcoholic beer and told her - she eagerly switched it out for me and replaced my flat fountain soda with a can. She was apologetic and quick to correct the issues. The food was AMAZING. We had a couple varieties of pizza, the fries, some mozzarella sticks, and some salad - and it ALL was outrageously good! Great server, great food, nice atmosphere, little pricey - but to be expected in DC! Highly recommend the restaurant and server! We'll definitely visit again!

Updating my review after I had an absolutely baffling experience with my takeout order. I ordered the cheese sticks and wings and was very excited to try them but still cannot believe I’m typing this but the WINGS HAD FEATHERS ON THEM. I want to puke just typing this I am beyond disgusted and I will NEVER return to Emmy again. I thought I was seeing things because I thought there is no possible way there are FEATHERS but I am done. Never again.

Everything about this pizza is exactly what we (my husband and I) were looking for, as traveling visitors to DC! You'll fall in love with the burst of flavors and the delicious crunch of the perfectly baked crust. Also, our server Tenny was so personable and really made for a memorable night!:) she genuinely wanted to get to know us, not something you always experience in a big city. We ordered the MVP and Big Hawaiian. The crust, sauce, and toppings had the perfect texture and level of seasoning. Without a doubt, this place has one of the best pizzas in DC.

We also had the pleasure of being served by Aniyah, whose attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our evening more memorable.

Chelsea the waitress was efficient and welcoming, plus she speaks French very well and she gave us very good advice. The pizza to share was delicious as was the chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. Thanks to her and the cook. I recommend.

Dont go here! I ordered delivery and wanted bacon as a topping. They took raw uncooked bacon and put it through the oven and thought it was okay! The typical unreliable food establishment in dc.

We dined in on a Saturday night when it was hopping with a group of friends and again early afternoon on a Sunday with just the family. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Cool atmosphere, good service, and an excellent value.

Food and drinks are great, but you come for Destiny. She's the best server this city has ever seen!

Amazing service and quality of food. I usually don’t like pizza but here it’s a cozy and comforting meal. Aniyah our waitress was great and gave us many drink refills on the house with permission. Everyone here is super nice and welcoming even with no reservations. Great pizza joint and more.

One of the best pizzas I had in the area of the parking sucks though. Had a huge f-450 couldn't park it anywhere Thank God I found some workers on the side of the road putting a metal plate in the road I was able to park behind them while I got my food. Other than that the food is excellent highly recommended somebody told me to get square pizza and Washington I got square pizza in Washington but the map took me somewhere else I got it here and the food was perfecto all the way good good food highly recommend
