Had dinner here. The cocktails were tasty, between the two of us we tried three and they were all good. The reason for the four stars: the shrimp that came with my steak were overcooked and chewy. A little less time on the heat would have made a big difference. Otherwise, good for and drinks at a reasonable price.

Nice destilery products, chocolates, the menu is good with different options, and the food very good too.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and I’ve always had a good time. The service is 5-stars and the food is great as well. My husband and I have had almost the entire menu by now and we haven’t been disappointed yet.

We take our parents here when they are in town for dinner and ask about coming back to the restaurant next time they are in town.

Mauricio is one of the managers and he remembers us every time. Him and all of the other staff are friendly and professional. They always give great recommendations when you can’t choose!

I think you can’t go wrong any time of day for a meal here. It was the first restaurant I ever went to in DC before I lived here and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the district.

Just want to say that this review does not reflect the service provided by the bartenders (Amelia and the other gentlemen at service bar and a supervisor/manager named Hope- they did the best they could and provided as best of service as they could!) We came for happy hour to get a few drinks and a few cocktails, but because there was only one bartender to take care of the entire bar top and also the drinks for the entire restaurant (Amelia- who handled it like a champ), we weren’t able to get the full experience that we came for. Throughout our experience it took about 15-20 minutes to be checked on in between each interaction (simply because Amelia was taking care of 13 different bar guests while simultaneously making drinks for the floor). We had finished our food before we were checked on to see if we liked it and we had finished our drinks long before we were asked if they were okay and also if we wanted another round. We were disappointed to see the lack of support that Amelia had- no second bartender until at least 5: 35 and no manager or bar back until at least 6: 45. This is a reflection on upper management and the business itself. It clearly does not care about the quality of the service it provides to its guests nor does it care about the resources and support or provides for its employees to meet the high expectations it has on the bartenders to meet the demands of the restaurant. We wanted to order more food and drinks and be able to enjoy ourselves, but we had to cut our time short because the food took over 30 minutes and the poor staff had little to no support. The owners and upper management should be ashamed at the quality of service it provides to its guests and staff.

It took 6 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. I ordered a glass of the fleurs rose and he brought me something white. I questioned the obvious difference and he explained it was freixenet. He removed the cheap bubbles that looked like it had no bubbles and replaced it with my rose in a coupe glass. After I emptied my coupe I placed it at the edge of the bar only for it to be ignored numerous times. The bartender checked on the people 2 seats down from me but his eyes never looked my way either time he walked past. After 7 more minutes of an empty drink.and NO WATER. I ordered an old fashioned and my tab. The tab arrived with some other drink than the rose that was 14.50 ($2.50 more than correct drink. I pointed out the error and it was corrected. Too many issues for just 2 drinks.

I heard a lot of hype around this brunch spot. I made reservations for Friday afternoon and got seated accordingly. However staff was not the best as we waited 45 mins just for someone to ask what we wanted to drink and they served us dirty plates for our starters. Food was good but not great. Had to constantly chase for missing items and condiments

The restaurant is very, very loud once it gets full. But the food is always good and staff is always friendly.

It isn’t amazing food, but it is consistent, worth the price, and you get a good size portion so you’re not hungry.

We had the fried green tomatoes which were cooked perfect and that’s hard to do. My friend had the scallops and risotto. There was supposed to be crispy Brussels sprouts with it, but they only put one in. It was an accident, but not an acceptable one. They’re literally one of the three things in the dish.

I had the pastrami sandwich. It was buttery and fresh. My fries were not good, but the sandwich made up for it.

I shared a great brunch here with friends. The service was outstanding. Highly recommend the biegnets as a treat to share after a savory breakfast.

A reservation for a weekend brunch is strongly recommended! Otherwise be prepared for a long wait.

Great food, great service, and great ambiance. A little pricey, but not terrible for what you get.

Came here last year and loved it. Today it was horrible. Food was cold and a bartender was rude and not very pleasant. Will never come here again.

We've been here several times and we really like this place, it has a fun atmosphere, the food is decent BUT this time the cocktails were a RIP OFF! They are very expensive with very little alcohol.
In the past we love their cocktails, this is the first time we experienced this situation.
We will go back but will not order their cocktails, is better to stick to wine or beer.

I'm highly disappointed in the food we had delivered yesterday. I got the shrimp scampi and it was incredibly bland. I mean no salt or flavor at all. The shrimp were little pieces of rubber. I ONLY ate it cause I was so hungry and had nothing else prepared but did not enjoy it in the least. I could only get it down my adding lots of salt. My husband wasn't impressed with the salmon either and only ate half of it. Sometimes you just eat cause of how much money you spent! We've seen the decline of this place from a few years ago. We used to get delivery from here often and the quality, portions, and prices steadily got worse with each delivery. We didn't order for awhile and decided to give it another shot and wished we hadn't. I'm pretty sure I gave this place a glowing review after the first couple orders but now I'm not sure I will give it another shot again. Sometimes I think restaurants are forgetting how much people spend per meal and not caring very much about the value of what you receive. Lesson learned - cook from home!

The food was delicious, but the portions were very small compared to the prices. We were disappointed to find that the can of coke was $4.99. All of this on top of a server being a bit unhelpful with gluten free options made for a disappointing experience.

It's a bit loud, but the food is excellent. Order the cornbread - you'll be happy you did!

Not allergy friendly - no decaf? Was told they don’t brew it at all not that they were out on that day at 11: 00 am.
Awful slow and unknowledgeable server (normally worked dinner was his excuse)
Asked front of the house staff about gluten free options in the buffet when we walked in and one employee said vaguely there are some, while the other girl piped in “ask your sever”. I did ask my server and he didn’t know the breakfast menu to answer the questions. At that point a manger should have been advised to come to the table. I get brunch is their main weekend game, but then don’t offer a regular menu if you’re then going to take the items from the buffet to serve your non buffet customers (we ordered an a la carte side of ham from the menu and saw it was a piece of the small buffet ham that was given to us.)

Came for happy hour, food is just okay and portion is small. Drinks are not super impressive and took long time for everything to come out.

The food was delicious but there was a long wait both to sit down and to leave. It took a long time to get the ticket, they took up more waiters.

The chips and dip are fresh and delicious and the bread pudding is to die for. Only reason for the 3 stars is the service.

We were put at the bar since the tables were full and we had let the server know we weren’t ordering entrées, just small bites. The bartenders got us out water and Appa order quickly, but the tail end of the meal stretched on because they were rushing past us to service others and eventually we were seemingly forgotten. There were maybe 7-8 people total at the bar and not many drink orders on the screen.

Got our food, 5 minutes for to-go boxes, wrapped up stacked plates, 10-12 minutes to grab their attention for the check, for the check and had my card out but the bartender ran to another client and so we waited 5/7 more minutes with the card but neither bartender stopped to grab it. It got to a point where we just put cash on the table and left.

100% understand being busy and overwhelmed with orders but one of the bartenders was socializing with friends on the other end of the bar for a hefty portion of the night. Attentiveness is needed for sure given our scenario.

We’ve been coming here for 4 years to get donuts and used them often for large events, but this morning that changed. We picked up donuts, took one bite and were immediately disappointed and disgusted. I can only assume they’ve changed the recipe or are buying pre-made donut bases to cut costs. We used to endorse these as the best donuts in the city to everyone we knew, but please stay far far away - they taste identical to the cheapest version of dried out Dunkin’ covered in the only saving grace, their FF fudge icing.
