Cafe Fruitive reviews
18I liked the food here. I ordered the açaí bowl and chocolate waffle and they were both yummy.good for gluten free food tbh.their aesthetic was trying a bit too hard and they could work on that i think.menu was done badly and it was slightly unclear.i would like more waffle and açaí bowl options. 4/5! Very good overall
Don’t order the waffles: you get one waffle approximately the size of an eggo waffle for $15. The bowls were good
Tea latte tastes like it might be from a mix rather than brewed tea, or the plant-based milk has a lot of sugar added. Excessively sweet.
I had the Tuscan Kale Wrap. It was delicious, great size to get full and for 10$ it is fine. I can defiantly recommend to go there. It is a option for good quality, healthy food.
Got a cold brew coffee and açaí bowl. The Açaí bowl tasted watered down. Very expensive for the quality.
Tasty vegan food! We shared the antioxidant açaí bowl and it was a nice treat as the sun came out today. My husband got the Tuscan Kale Wrap and I got the half calzone. Liked that the calzone wasn’t too bready.
If you need something good to happen in your day, go get their Avacado Herb Toast or the Antioxidant Bowl. Perfection. Just, you're welcome.
Delicious and smooth Antioxidant Bowl (acai bowl). The granola made it special, very crunchy and best described as 'fresh'.
Chai Tea Latte was sweet and creamy with a strong tea flavor.
I would gladly return and highly recommend this place.
If you like banana in your acai, come here by all means. Very bland acai bowls in general though.
Cozy vegan breakfast/ lunch spot with nice healthy choice of bowls, wraps, smoothies and even pizza!
In a week in DC, I ate here for every single meal. Finding vegan AND gluten free AND genuinely healthy meals can be a struggle. But not at Fruitive. All offerings were delicious (I believe I tried almost everything on the menu that was both vegan and gluten free), creative, and made me feel energized and amazing! The staff are wonderful; all were happy to accommodate my and my family’s individual preferences. The ambiance is warm and cheerful; the bliss of sipping a yummy smoothie while people-watching after a long walk through DC on a wintry morning is a pleasure I’ll miss until I’m back in the area. Wonderful job, Fruitive!
This is the best find for vegan food while we were in Washington DC. It has a very nice interior designed which makes a statement as soon as you walk in. Every food item is deliciously made with high quality ingredients and most importantly made with love by Danilo C.and Marta H. It makes such a difference who makes your food and it could be felt in every bite. Danilo was such a kind and sweet soul. We had arrived late to order one of the days we were there and he went out of his way to turn on the grill to make us the pizza we loved.
If you are in the DC area visit Fruitive and try the Mediterranean pizza made by Danilo, you won’t regret it.
Thank you very much Danilo and Marta! We appreciate you both.
Some food items are great, like the Acocado toast and the blended smoothies.
Stay away from mushroom pizza. Too dry and chewy.
Wow! I truly love there green Smoothie a little pricey for the large, but worth every penny. I also love there sandwich. Yum yum.
If you are a foodie and enjoy great tasting food that is organic.spend your money here! On my way to a conference I picked up food for the week. It was my first time ever going here and after reading the reviews and checking out the ingredients quality I decided to give it a try. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I ended up trying almost every food item on the menu and it was all very good. To top it off the customer service is spot on! I for sure recommend this location and am so glad a spot like this exist! W need more 100% organic and non-GMO restaurants!
It's very expensive for a place that doesn't cook a single thing. Most of the stuff is pre-made or they just throw stuff into a blender (and it doesn't necessarily taste good) and hand it to you. I wouldn't go back.
I used to love this place and come here every week. After pandemic reopened this place changed. They start to cheat you on the product and quality of food went down. The avocado toast that you pay $12 you will get mostly bread. It’s so disappointing and when I address it with employee they only told me that avocados are too small now.
