Goodies Frozen Custard & Treats reviews
10Highly recommended! I discovered goodies on DMV eats. It was so good we had to go back the next day. Service is impeccable, greeted with warm smiles. We were able to meet the owner and experience his outgoing personality. Extremely friendly with everyone, you can tell he meets no stranger! The first day I got the Big Apple and the next day I got the Apple Cobbler Custardwich both are 10/10. Every flavor complimented each other. A plus is the donut stays soft the entire time! This will definitely be a regular. They do only accept cash or Apple Cash. Definitely worth the experience!
I had The Big Apple. It was fantastic! I’ve never had custard so good lol. And the carmel tasted like it was just made the same hour! So delicious. I want to come back to try the special peach cobbler I keep seeing on Tiktok
Saw it in Instagram and made the trip from DC. Totally worth it. We got the Big Apple and a seasonal Peach Cobblerwich. Both were sliced open donuts filled with vanilla custard that was really the star of the show. The peaches on mine were warm and a perfect compliment to the custard. The caramel on the Big Apple was salty and delicious. Decor was also perfect for anyone wanting to post on social media. My only warning/negative is they don't take credit cards so come prepared with Apple cash or real cash.
What a treat, Goodies Frozen Custard is fantastic best Frozen Custard since the Frozen Dairy Bar in the early 70s
My go-to custard place in Old Town. The custard here is outstanding! If it's your first time, get a donutwich!: -D
Update to add pictures: Ok. Banana pudding is my fave, followed by triple chocolate browniewich. But really, you can't go wrong here. I think I've tried their whole menu and specials!
I’d heard great things about this place and love supporting ice cream places, but we came on a Saturday afternoon and it was a terrible experience. We had to wait in line in the very hot humid sun for at least 30min because I think there were only 2 people working so the service was slow. They didn’t let you pay with credit card and didn’t list the prices on the menu. One tiny scoop of ice cream with banana pudding was over 12$. And there wasn’t any seating in the shade. The taste was good but not worth the whole affair of being out in the heat for that long.
This is the best soft serve I’ve ever had in my life! I can’t go anywhere else now for ice cream - Goodies has completely spoiled me!
Idk, there was a ton of hype. The custard wasn't bad, but I've had better elsewhere. The wait sucked and it's hot as the sun. I feel like the wait is largely due to just how it's set up. I'm at at a loss to say good things hence 3 stars. The flowers outside were pretty and well taken care of.there's that. Good experience I suppose, but would only go back if already in the immediate area.
Where are the menu prices posted?
A person gives a total verbally once you place your order.sorry to have been underwhelmed by the browniewich.
Cute establishment yet very old school.
No card processing.
The best custard in town! Awesome customer service coupled with a great product will shine every time. Prices are very reasonable especially with the quality of the custard and ingredients and Brandon (the owner) is seriously the best. I’ve been coming for years and will continue supporting a great local business.
